It's insane how the npc quest dialogues look so cinematic in FW. Characters in ZD including Aloy would just have simple facial animations but in the new one they actually have body gestures and more life-like expressions.
The world's NPCs make the game so unimmersive. Got these primitive tribes in the west with crazy caveman facepaint but they all have American accents and speak in full sentences. They also all oddly look like models. Like for the time I played forbidden west I couldn't stop thinking how the characters legitimately seemed like actors playing a role rather than being living and breathing inhabitants of the game world.

Of course, if Guerilla Games had gone for realism, people understanding our 21th century English and speaking like we do would not have worked. Maybe for Aloy who picked up "Old" English as a child, but not for the rest. In reality, the closest they could get is perhaps making all people from the past speak a kind of Dickensian English and everyone else use extremely informal teenage-internet-slang English to differentiate the eras...but that may sound even less realistic. In the end, we do not know how American English will sound far into the future.
I really didn't expect it to have such a huge leap in quality from one game to the next, considering it's a cross-gen game, it's amazing what they've managed to do here.
Another small detail that "you missed" is, when you're in the snow/sand, if you stare for long time at your footprints, they will slowly fill again because of the snow falling or wind that move the sand
Funnily enough, out of all the improvements (animation, lighting, character models etc.), what amazes me though most are the rocks and the water (and maybe the foliage density). Rocks - due to the granularity and intricate detail. Water - being the best looking water I've seen in any game.

The water is just the best there is. I've never seen water that looks like a non-viscose fluid and warps light so realistically. RDR2 comes close, but the water feels a bit too viscose there. TLOU2 comes the closest, but this just takes the cake!

For me, Horizon Zero is the first most realistic game ive ever played, the graphic, animation, and their facial expression looks so alive. And now come the forbidden west with even more impressive graphics :")
If you want another game with insane graphics fidelity then look at plague tale requiem. I believe that game has the most detailed graphics out of all currently available games.
When HZD released, I remember feeling blown away by the level of detail. Now I'm playing HFW on PS5 and that feeling is even more intense. Forbidden West is a stunning technical achievement on many levels. Thank you Guerilla 🙌😭
knowing that i will be not be able to play hzd forbidden west upsets me a lot since i don't play on consoles. Played the first game on PC and its probably my top 3 video game of all time hopefully this game lands on pc soon

@@kai.2904 There's one department that I think Death Stranding trumps even Forbidden West, and that's the human models. The ones in Forbidden West look really good, but there are moments in Death Stranding when people look damn near photorealistic. The scene when Die-Hardman confesses to Sam is a very good example. I've yet to find any other game that was able to capture so much detail into a human model.
I am not sure how good the facial animation in this new HZD but in Death stranding they did a really good job to capture the emotion on human face. The open world maybe empty with few npcs and foliage density is not impressive like in HZD but the details is still really damn good.

My fucking God man. I seriously don't know what sort of magic Sony Studios have but how the fuck they keep raising the bar game after game after game. It's INCREDIBLE. My mouth was open damn near the whole video. Especially THE WAVE SIMULATION Holy fuck. The water, the vegetation, the enemy models, the character models, the world textures, the grass, the skybox. Everything man. Absolutely incredible
I'm really impressed with the result on base ps4, the game graphics have been significantly improved even on base ps4, zero dawn was a masterpiece, gonna buy forbidden west on my ps5 in march when i come back home, can't wait to play!!!

I hate how she seems way less of a redhead in forbidden west. I wish they could’ve been able to keep the hair colour of the main character consistent, that feels like a major priority to me.

Para mí empezó bien pero no logró engancharme después de que Aloy sale como exploradora Nora. Lo terminé de jugar sólo porque lo dieron gratis y el gameplay si me entretenía un poco.
TH-cam doesnt do either of these games justice. Zero dawn holds up amazingly. Forbidden west is just insane. I have a hard time believing we have reached a point where graphics like that can run so well. Performance mode never stutters.

Yo juego la edición de lanzamiento y si,tiene uno que otro bug pero la mayoría de las veces los uso a mi favor ,por ejemplo al matar al Zenith( el primero al que nos enfrentamos)en su última lucha contra el ,usé una esquina de una estructura de un segundo piso para atacarlo ahí y acabarlo con puros ataques de lanza normal jaja

A huge diff in Aloy's model between ZD and FW. Damn. Open world graphics and textures also looks better but man, look at that details in Aloy's face. ZD model is looks like a plastic doll.

Este juego tiene una atención al detalle que es lo que hace que ese mundo se sienta vivo. Yo llego a la conclusión de que no solo es un tema de potencia, si no de saber exprimir al máximo un hardware puede dar resultados asombrosos a parte lo que hace la dedicación por qué es obvio que aquí hay un trabajo muy grande detrás! not just the graphics improved but almost every mechanic in the game is so refined. I tried going back to ZD to mop up some side quests and had a real hard time readjusting to the combat/weapon mechanics. ZD is still a fun game that holds up but FW is a huge improvement when you play them back to back.
Para mi el rdr2 y horizon 1 son los juegos con mejores gráficos de mundo abierto de la pasada generacion; ganando rdr2 solo por el diseño del agua, las zonas con agua se veían mejor en rdr2 que en zero dawn.

Im playing it right now on my KD43X89J Gaming TV with my PS5 and HFB looks so gorgeous. I just replayed trough the entirety of HZD and Frozen Wilds and it was an amazing treat on my PS5 but HFB is a whole other story. Its feels, looks, runs and plays so much more better. You feel so immersed. I also have it installed on my PS4 PRO and the difference is gigantic. The PS4 and Pro versions do look more like HZD. Especially Aloys character model looks very similiar to the one used in HZD whereas PS5 feels life-like. Probs to Guerilla Games. Probs, that they optimized a CROSS GEN TITLE THIS GOOD. And also that they accomplished for last gen to run so smoothely on 30FPS.

There are slight updated graphics but nothing too mind blowing. Plus PC already did this when they released Horizon Zero Dawn. And let's remember that all these games are made on PC.
Se ve genial, pero no se logra apreciar a simple vista ya que el gran salto está en los detalles, tanto de los escenarios como de aloy, su ropa, rostro, cabello (sobre todo el cabello de su sien que se ve que está pegado por el sudor)
What amazes me the most is that they chose to give Aloy rosacea. It's like they just wanted to show off that they could add even more details to her face. Also, speaking of showing off, I just love how fluid her hair moves in Forbidden West.

The actress is a real person... Doesn't get any more realistic than that. The thing is; Aloy no longer looks like that actress, but instead looks Nick Avocodo. They did this to appease the transgender crowd who were upset that she looked like the actress she was literally made to look like. She wasn't butch enough for them. No one talks about that though. It's okay for them to demand she look more manly than the female actress she originally depicted, but it's some sort of hate-crime for people to be upset that it was changed in the first place. Her name is Hannah Hoekstra in case you are curious.
You are right. She's perfectly fine and look more realistic. I finished forbidden west, and after watching all the scenes... I can tell you that she looks more like her model now, than in HZD. So the person who is telling stories about people being upset so Guerilla decided to make her uglier is complete bs. In fact she's even less muscular in this one. I remember in HZD she had more muscles on her arms, hell she even had abs and (nothing wrong with it) . Now there are none apparent muscles. These people are more focused on her looks than her personality. Tells you that they're not even real gamers that appreciate a great game with all these qualities. It’s ironic how detailed and different she looks in HFW like if 10 years have passed, but in reality they have passed only 6 months, not even a year or more. In HFW she looks like a 35 year okd woman when she is suppose to be 20.

Wow, Zero Down was gorgeous already, but i can see a big improvement there. I am not big fan of Aloy's new hair color, it looks her fire-red hair was changed to a more subtle red-brown
I love what they did with Aloy’s face. Her cheeks are rounder, since she’s probably eating better after leaving the sacred lands. They added freckles and a slight sunburn, showing that she spends a lot of time in the sun and outdoors. And the detail is better overall since motion capture has improved.

yo tengo una ps4, pero jugar este juego a 30 fps sera un dolor de cabeza, el primero lo paso a penas por los 30 fps, luego lo jugue en pc y fue muchisimo mejor
Lo tengo en la version de PS4 , y mi PS4 es la version normal , y el juego se ve y corre increible , Cabe mencionar que tambien lo juego a HDR ya que lo soporta y le da un plus a la visualizacion del juego , Buen trabajo en optimizacion los de Guerrilla. Y la historia como siempre atrapante.
I still don't get why people were so upset about aloys "change" in look. From what I can see all her facial features are pretty much the same. Only difference is quality. Forbidden West just has more detailed graphics.
This is so interesting to see. And yet, it's mostly just the increase in quality, the textures. So much so that I couldn't run Forbidden West on the same PC, I had to upgrade my graphics card or the texture was grainy as an old movie and kept crashing. I like the side by side comparison. Aloy's hair does have a life of it's own in FW though, lol!

the most noticeable feature about Alloy is her eyes, they changed her eyes. They are a bit bigger than before and moved inside (closer to the nose/bridge).

Wow 😲, you can actually see facial hair on Aloy, that says a lot about the level of detail, and animations are better now. Optimization is pretty impressive on this game.
Peach fuzz and it's actually pretty expensive to render. The fact that they managed to get it in a cross gen game just shows how much power the PS5 has.
@@rahulpandey9472 Peach Fuzz. Both use different parts of the GPU and Ray Tracing takes up a lot more of the render queue. It's also possible that they simply didn't have time to implement ray tracing into their engine because remember they use their own in house engine.

SPOILERS for example if you talk to a tenakth soldier after the wings of the ten quest they talk about how you flew on the wings of the ten as you pass by or how you defeated regalla

I've seen Forbidden West on ps4 and there's not much difference compared to Zero Dawn.

For me, Horizon Zero is the first most realistic game ive ever played, the graphic, animation, and their facial expression looks so alive. And now come the forbidden west with even more impressive graphics :")
If you want another game with insane graphics fidelity then look at plague tale requiem.
I believe that game has the most detailed graphics out of all currently available games.

When HZD released, I remember feeling blown away by the level of detail. Now I'm playing HFW on PS5 and that feeling is even more intense. Forbidden West is a stunning technical achievement on many levels. Thank you Guerilla 🙌😭
knowing that i will be not be able to play hzd forbidden west upsets me a lot since i don't play on consoles. Played the first game on PC and its probably my top 3 video game of all time hopefully this game lands on pc soon

@@kai.2904 There's one department that I think Death Stranding trumps even Forbidden West, and that's the human models. The ones in Forbidden West look really good, but there are moments in Death Stranding when people look damn near photorealistic. The scene when Die-Hardman confesses to Sam is a very good example. I've yet to find any other game that was able to capture so much detail into a human model.
I am not sure how good the facial animation in this new HZD but in Death stranding they did a really good job to capture the emotion on human face. The open world maybe empty with few npcs and foliage density is not impressive like in HZD but the details is still really damn good.

My fucking God man. I seriously don't know what sort of magic Sony Studios have but how the fuck they keep raising the bar game after game after game. It's INCREDIBLE.
My mouth was open damn near the whole video. Especially THE WAVE SIMULATION Holy fuck. The water, the vegetation, the enemy models, the character models, the world textures, the grass, the skybox. Everything man. Absolutely incredible
I'm really impressed with the result on base ps4, the game graphics have been significantly improved even on base ps4, zero dawn was a masterpiece, gonna buy forbidden west on my ps5 in march when i come back home, can't wait to play!!!

I hate how she seems way less of a redhead in forbidden west. I wish they could’ve been able to keep the hair colour of the main character consistent, that feels like a major priority to me.

Para mí empezó bien pero no logró engancharme después de que Aloy sale como exploradora Nora. Lo terminé de jugar sólo porque lo dieron gratis y el gameplay si me entretenía un poco.
TH-cam doesnt do either of these games justice. Zero dawn holds up amazingly. Forbidden west is just insane. I have a hard time believing we have reached a point where graphics like that can run so well. Performance mode never stutters.

Se nota monton las mejoras en graficos, texturas, renderizados, esta verdaderamente brutal... Las maquinas son las que mas me parecen geniales los cambios y mejoras, muy pero que muy genial

Yo juego la edición de lanzamiento y si,tiene uno que otro bug pero la mayoría de las veces los uso a mi favor ,por ejemplo al matar al Zenith( el primero al que nos enfrentamos)en su última lucha contra el ,usé una esquina de una estructura de un segundo piso para atacarlo ahí y acabarlo con puros ataques de lanza normal jaja

ZD to FW is like comparing a virtuoso painter's best high school work to the later masterpieces of their entire career.
Aloy in Zero Dawn was a girl but in Forbidden West she became a lady.
A huge diff in Aloy's model between ZD and FW. Damn. Open world graphics and textures also looks better but man, look at that details in Aloy's face. ZD model is looks like a plastic doll.

Yo llego a la conclusión de que no solo es un tema de potencia, si no de saber exprimir al máximo un hardware puede dar resultados asombrosos a parte lo que hace la dedicación por qué es obvio que aquí hay un trabajo muy grande detrás! not just the graphics improved but almost every mechanic in the game is so refined. I tried going back to ZD to mop up some side quests and had a real hard time readjusting to the combat/weapon mechanics. ZD is still a fun game that holds up but FW is a huge improvement when you play them back to back.
Please make a comparison of ps4 versions. Very interesting to see how game changes on the same hardware.

Para mi el rdr2 y horizon 1 son los juegos con mejores gráficos de mundo abierto de la pasada generacion; ganando rdr2 solo por el diseño del agua, las zonas con agua se veían mejor en rdr2 que en zero dawn.

It's nice to see the clear visual upgrades, as opposed to a game like Spider-Man 2 which basically looks the same as Spider-Man.
Im playing it right now on my KD43X89J Gaming TV with my PS5 and HFB looks so gorgeous. I just replayed trough the entirety of HZD and Frozen Wilds and it was an amazing treat on my PS5 but HFB is a whole other story. Its feels, looks, runs and plays so much more better. You feel so immersed. I also have it installed on my PS4 PRO and the difference is gigantic. The PS4 and Pro versions do look more like HZD. Especially Aloys character model looks very similiar to the one used in HZD whereas PS5 feels life-like.
Probs to Guerilla Games. Probs, that they optimized a CROSS GEN TITLE THIS GOOD. And also that they accomplished for last gen to run so smoothely on 30FPS.

The actress is a real person... Doesn't get any more realistic than that. The thing is; Aloy no longer looks like that actress, but instead looks Nick Avocodo. They did this to appease the transgender crowd who were upset that she looked like the actress she was literally made to look like. She wasn't butch enough for them. No one talks about that though. It's okay for them to demand she look more manly than the female actress she originally depicted, but it's some sort of hate-crime for people to be upset that it was changed in the first place. Her name is Hannah Hoekstra in case you are curious.
You are right. She's perfectly fine and look more realistic. I finished forbidden west, and after watching all the scenes... I can tell you that she looks more like her model now, than in HZD. So the person who is telling stories about people being upset so Guerilla decided to make her uglier is complete bs. In fact she's even less muscular in this one. I remember in HZD she had more muscles on her arms, hell she even had abs and (nothing wrong with it) . Now there are none apparent muscles. These people are more focused on her looks than her personality. Tells you that they're not even real gamers that appreciate a great game with all these qualities. Se nota mucho las diferencias de las mejoras gráficas,en el primer Horizon a mí me decepcionó una cosa,las animaciones faciales eran poco inespresivas y irregulares fue la peor parte que no me convenció,y la parte buena eran los escenarios bellisimos,se nota que en la segunda entrega de Horizon se lo han currado muchísimo más,las animaciones son muchísimo mejores y hasta espectaculares,y los escenarios mucho más increíbles que el primer juego,se nota que se dieron cuenta de corregir los errores del primer Horizon,y las animaciones en la segunda entrega se lo han currado increíblemente,ya podían haber arreglado las artificiales animaciones del primer Horizon pero en fin,al menos lo solucionaron todo en la segunda entrega.
It’s ironic how detailed and different she looks in HFW like if 10 years have passed, but in reality they have passed only 6 months, not even a year or more. In HFW she looks like a 35 year okd woman when she is suppose to be 20.

Debo decir que la mejora grafica es muy notable, además de que los efectos visuales se sienten mas naturales, sin embargo, he notado que sufre de fallas en la carga de texturas u objetos en ciertas ocasiones, incluso en el video detecte algunas, como la vegetación en el minuto 3:09, pero quiero suponer que eso se debe a que sufrió ciertas limitantes al tener que adaptarlo también para la versión del PS4.

Wow, Zero Down was gorgeous already, but i can see a big improvement there. I am not big fan of Aloy's new hair color, it looks her fire-red hair was changed to a more subtle red-brown
I love what they did with Aloy’s face. Her cheeks are rounder, since she’s probably eating better after leaving the sacred lands. They added freckles and a slight sunburn, showing that she spends a lot of time in the sun and outdoors. And the detail is better overall since motion capture has improved.

Guerrilla Games se ha convertido en mi industria favorita! Que mejoras tan brutales se ven entre Horizon Zero Dawn y Forbidden West. Un balance entre calidad visual y jugabilidad. 10/10 valió la pena la espera

yo tengo una ps4, pero jugar este juego a 30 fps sera un dolor de cabeza, el primero lo paso a penas por los 30 fps, luego lo jugue en pc y fue muchisimo mejor
Lo tengo en la version de PS4 , y mi PS4 es la version normal , y el juego se ve y corre increible , Cabe mencionar que tambien lo juego a HDR ya que lo soporta y le da un plus a la visualizacion del juego , Buen trabajo en optimizacion los de Guerrilla.

This is so interesting to see. And yet, it's mostly just the increase in quality, the textures. So much so that I couldn't run Forbidden West on the same PC, I had to upgrade my graphics card or the texture was grainy as an old movie and kept crashing. I like the side by side comparison. Aloy's hair does have a life of it's own in FW though, lol!

Se ve muy bonito el juego pero hasta aquí te puedes percatar que si va presentar fallas de popping, cuando va bajando hacia la playa, en ese momento se nota y en la selva también... Ojala lo mejoren pronto

La verdad se nota el salto generacional en muchos casos, es increíble que aún así sea intergeneracional, el cambio en el modelado de Aloy me dejó sin palabras.

Wow 😲, you can actually see facial hair on Aloy, that says a lot about the level of detail, and animations are better now. Optimization is pretty impressive on this game.
Peach fuzz and it's actually pretty expensive to render. The fact that they managed to get it in a cross gen game just shows how much power the PS5 has.

@@rahulpandey9472 Peach Fuzz. Both use different parts of the GPU and Ray Tracing takes up a lot more of the render queue.
It's also possible that they simply didn't have time to implement ray tracing into their engine because remember they use their own in house engine.
