Open time once tack dry is approx 4 hours. Pattern left by tool of application is also important. a stipple or waffle pattern is best. (spray or waffle roller)n complete dewaxing or degreasing is key. Best to scuff surface of old "pearl" aka formica with 80 grit sandpaper is also recommended. Cure to full strength after lamination is 24-36 hours.
Great comparison. I don't think you need to let it dry overnight. Contact cement is just that - it's kind of like velcro - once it sticks, leaving it there doesn't make it stick more.
