The sell price might even be just the slot number it has within the game, or at least connected to it. Otherwise, is there a maximum value of money you can carry in game? It seems too specific of a number to be the carry limit, but it might be relative to whatever percentage an item can be sold back for (ie: if a game buys your items at 40% of the value it’d be sold for in that store, the value you can sell it for might actually be 40% of its actual value? Great video as always. As others have said, I appreciate the fact you try to post stuff that generally isn't already talked about in these types of lists. I'm only really knowledgeable with the FF7 one, which is pretty interesting. A lot of the dialogue Aeris has if you hack her into the party is just the generic dialogue any party members has, it isn't specifically written for her. For ex, her telling you how to use the map is just a line of dialogue any of your party members say depending on who you took with you, or her making the fort condor message when you're playing as Cid. They programmed it so those lines are just said by whoever to avoid any accidental crashes if you're using a party member you shouldn't normally have access to in that section. But, there was also a point where her death happened slightly later in the game. My memory might be a little rusty since it has been some time since I read about it and even longer since I played FF7, but she was originally going to die in the mountain where you find Sephiroth and he gets the black materia/the Weapons are unleashed. I believe they moved it for pacing sake, since there was already a lot happening in those scenes and they wanted her death to be the focus. I want to say she does have one or two lines of Aeris specific dialogue around these parts if you hack her into your party, but it is just generic interjections and nothing particularly important, or anything that suggests she had come back from the dead or the like.
Paul G. There’s a side quest about a family of robots (The Lost Nero Family) in Final Fantasy IX that went undiscovered for MORE THAN A DECADE before an old Japanese guidebook was translated.
The secret of Stop & Swop can't be something that complex, I'm thinking Nintendo found out and got mad at Rare for trying to turn an exploit into a feature, think about it, if shady people found out you could inject code from a cartridge to another just by swapping them then piracy would have happened, Nintendo fixed the issue with the hardware and then probably made a NDA with Rare, that's probably why they are so cautious about it
@@AlexTCGProYT Because it was the running gag that they were never going to reveal anything about Stop N Swap. They finally did talk about it in the Rare Replay Collection. It was going to be a feature where the more Rare games you played on the 64 the more it would reward you in other Rare games when you played them.
@@edward18517 Man, sometimes I get really tired of "running gags" among game developers. Like, haha very funny. Now knock it the fuck off and tell us the truth. And sometimes it just aims to instigate rumors in the fanbase. Like "herobrine" in Minecraft. It never existed, yet every few updates they put "removed herobrine" in the patch notes as a "joke". Has the rare witch project fallen so far that people forgot their endeavors? You can get the ice key and every egg there without hacking, you just need the correct codes in the treasure trove cove sand castle
I was a tester for DK64, and can confirm the Stop ' n Swop feature mentioned in this video. There were 8 or 9 chipsets for the N64 by the time this game was being tested (so there were variables that made this too difficult to ensure all players would get the same experience), and the idea that players could swap any cartridge instead of the Banjo games made it virtually impossible to fully test, and Nintendo didn't want that kind of trouble to deal with. In reality, the item sharing function that Stop 'n Swop would've provided could have just as easily been handled by the N64's controller memory unit.

"Which means Aeris was originally supposed to live, or that you were originally going to be able to revive her" Orrrrrrrrrr, and this is 100 times more likely, she was originally planned to die much later in the game and/or those levels were originally going to be earlier in the game. You can see the same thing in Mass Effect 2. You can hack, say, Legion into the game right at the start. He'll have full dialogue for everything but Horizon and the Collector Ship because originally you were going to be able to unlock him much earlier in the game than you can in the final product.

The Fable 2 easter egg looks a lot like a nod to Hinterkaifeck, especially if I counted properly and there's 6 bodies in there. 6 people were murdered in 1922, in Germany. From the outside everything looked normal as someone had continued to feed the animals and to keep a fire in the chimney. Only after it was noticed that the family had not been seen in a long time that someone went there and found all of them dead. It happened in the winter on a remote farm.
im sure it still holds the data but like with a max of two seconds mabye if you could break it to make it hold longer or get two n64's to talk to eachother through binary but you would need to have a military grade education in binary and i only know one man personally who could do it but he would never do something like that

I recently heard about the ice key + dk64 connection in another video, and honestly I just wanna learn about more oddities like that, where something we thought was for one game, ended up being related to another unrelated game. Plus the connection with the pre-release footage? Man I love when unused code/assets somehow end up being possible to activate in the game/software.
the ff series is well known for its crazy cartridge tilts. I remember having a copy of ffVI where once I tiled it, Edgar transformed into General Leo during a fight with the jump ability and was poisoned, and after the fight I received 99x boomerangs.
I remember back in the day using a Gameshark to allow Aries to be a playable character past her death on the PSX version. I'm certain I even have saved games on an old memory card with it enabled
I groan internally whenever someone talks about the stop and swap items like you could only ever obtain them with a gameshark. That shows a lack of research. It was discovered years after release that there were cheat codes you could enter in world 2 that made them all obtainable in the intended fasion. That is, it spawned them into their locations and removed any barriers. You could make an interesting video just on how this was discovered after so many years passed.
Thank you for the credit for the use of my clip for the Stop N' Swop. I watch your videos from time to time and this was really unexpected. I'd like to mention that Stop N' Swop is possible in the XBLA and Rare Replay versions of Banjo Kazooie where you would have to start up a save file in Banjo Tooie then go back into Banjo Kazooie to collect the SnS items to be used in Banjo Tooie via hatching the eggs with Heggy the Hen. Some of the items also found in Banjo Tooie would then be used in Nuts N' Bolts too as accessories to the vehicles so that was a disappointing feature after all these years.
Other people have said this but this channel definitely has an early gaming YT vibe and I LOVE it. Makes me feel like I’m a middle schooler staying up all night again.

Took me forever to realize you were making references to cold temperature this whole video. I kept thinking "this isn't that scary"
Thank you oddheader, very cool.

Kanye thanks you, very cool.
I hate that my mind immediately read that in it's dumbest Donald trump voice
This comment is huge. Huge!

The "I'm cold..." weapon seems to just be the game reading the wrong memory address and finding a random text string instead of a real weapon name.
Yea thats my guess too

When you meet Vincent each character will introduce themselves. Does she say her name?
You can get Vincent before she dies
The secret of Stop & Swop can't be something that complex, I'm thinking Nintendo found out and got mad at Rare for trying to turn an exploit into a feature, think about it, if shady people found out you could inject code from a cartridge to another just by swapping them then piracy would have happened, Nintendo fixed the issue with the hardware and then probably made a NDA with Rare, that's probably why they are so cautious about it
I'm pretty sure Nintendo just modified the 64 without knowing about the thing and it just happened to fuck up the Stop N Swap idea in the process.
@@edward18517 that won't explain why they were so defensive about it, they could just have said that and be done with it
@@AlexTCGProYT Because it was the running gag that they were never going to reveal anything about Stop N Swap.
And that has been going on for fucking years. Eventually, they got to just stop... right?
KuraiWolf I don’t think so. Jokes are funny. I see no reason for them to stop just because you don’t like it.
One hell of an intro there
"Molyneux claimed you could plant a seed and watch it grow into a tree in real time. What reality is he living in where that's possible in a 2004 game?"
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle: "Is that a challenge?"
Watching a tree grow in real time would be slower then watching grass grow.. It'd literally take a few years just to sprout and get much beyond a weed sized sapling, riveting conquest that.. ;] Real time maybe means something else if you're a virtual tree datum ..

In the Xbox 360 Banjo Kazooies, you were able to get the ice key using a code in one of the mini games, and then it could used over in Banjo Tooie to allow Kazooie to become a dragon.
its a shame this was never included in the original thats awesome
@@dr.dylansgame5583 it's still included in the original game, it's just that no one knew about those codes until recently thanks to the Rare Witch Project. I've done it several time on my original N64 copy, it's just a long series of rhymes that are pretty tedious to spell out.
Has the rare witch project fallen so far that people forgot their endeavors? You can get the ice key and every egg there without hacking, you just need the correct codes in the treasure trove cove sand castle
It was information that was cut for timing.
Also they added it to the Xbox arcade versions of the games so you can actually unlock everything..
Entering those codes is so incredibly tedious, but since they've been discovered I feel like I have to do it every time for my yearly 100% BK runs.
Suuure liar
Tobias Lumi NO GUYS HES SERIOUS MY UNCLE WORKED AT NINTENDO AMD WAS ALSO A TESTER AND HE TOLD ME ABOUT HIM

Your videos never fail to entertain, every single one's interesting and chock full of trivia and bits of info that you don't see in your typical top 10 video! If anything, I admire all the effort you put into researching for each one💕💕
Seriously, how do you only have 220k followers?? You deserve even more!
Well he got almost seven thousand more overnight! But he should have at least a million
"Which means Aeris was originally supposed to live, or that you were originally going to be able to revive her"
Orrrrrrrrrr, and this is 100 times more likely, she was originally planned to die much later in the game and/or those levels were originally going to be earlier in the game.
You can see the same thing in Mass Effect 2. You can hack, say, Legion into the game right at the start. He'll have full dialogue for everything but Horizon and the Collector Ship because originally you were going to be able to unlock him much earlier in the game than you can in the final product.
Also, can you talk about the PS2 game, The Simpsons hit and run? There is a crazy out of bounds glitch in world 1 after you complete the game 100%. You can unlock all hidden cars and get get out of bounds. There is a functioning house in there and I just wanna See if you can figure any of it out
Just use the jumping car cheat. You can out of bounds in all maps super easy that way.
Watch son of a glitch from a++ start they mentioned all the glitches there
This was explained in out of bounds camera videos on TH-cam. The house is actually the model used for the introduction video, they left it out of bounds.
Definitely have a look for a video, the developers did a great job of putting everything in a very small amount of space
The stop 'n' swap Easter egg is awesome I love how they have gone along with it all these years
So how is unlocking a grandma in Matt Hoffman BMX a "chilling Easter egg"?
Suddenly having “Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer” stuck in your head on repeat can be pretty chilling in of itself.
Silentgrace11 What? That songs great!
Annnnnd now it’s stuck again =.=
Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s a well done song, but hearing it at least once every three days during the “holiday season” (October into late January around here) for every fully cognitive year of your life (can’t really vouch for before 3 years old, haha) can just get a little redundant.

Why would you just throw your grandma out like that!?

I wonder if Tooie may still react in some form or fashion to stop-n-swop data despite the feature being officially removed.
im sure it still holds the data but like with a max of two seconds mabye if you could break it to make it hold longer or get two n64's to talk to eachother through binary but you would need to have a military grade education in binary and i only know one man personally who could do it but he would never do something like that
I mean, there are still codes in the game used to activate Kazooie's dragon form if that's what you mean

I think number 5 might have something to do with A Christmas Carol.
I remember back in the day using a Gameshark to allow Aries to be a playable character past her death on the PSX version.
I'm certain I even have saved games on an old memory card with it enabled
sounds like I'm cold is just a random piece of dialoge that isn't supposed to be an item. Reminds me of misingno
The number 1 'I'm cold...' sounds like the start of a haunted game Creepy Pasta :'D
CHEAT NOW YOU CAN SEE A NICE ICE KEY WHICH YOU CAN HAVE FOR FREE
