"one which pulled off a daring rescue" I hope so much that it's RMS Carpathia... I would love to see Titanic's savior get her full time in the spotlight as an explorable ship.
This is my personal opinion but I think it would be the coolest thing if we could click H on the keyboard and a blast of the Whistle/Horn and hear the voices of the these ships once again
The "snapshot level" idea is genius. Programming a real time sinking ship is gonna be very, very difficult to do as an indie team, but this will give the people what they want while keeping the project reasonable.
I would love to see them too, however neither is a 'lost ship.' _Olympic_ was scrapped with _Mauretania_ , and _Queen Mary_ has been revived as a hotel again.

The Two DLC Ships I’m Gonna Bet Are Carpathia For The “One That Pulled Off A Daring Rescue” And Olympic For The One That”Ran Down A Smaller Ship And Sank It By Accident”
Came to the rescue? Either RMS Carpathia or SS Ile De France. I'd love either one, but I'd prefer Ile De France, and especially with Andrea Dorea that's going to be in the game later, why not her great rescuer? Ran down and sank a smaller vessel? Either RMS Olympic or RMS Queen Mary. I'd be happy if it's Olympic, but overjoyed if it's Queen Mary, my favorite ship. She's a hell of a lot bigger than Empress of Ireland or Lakonia, so that would be an absolute ton of work to bring her to life.
I feel like Queen Mary is a little but pointless though because you can just go to Long Beach and get the experience of a lifetime seeing her IRL and actually dine and sleep on her like many once did.
Fantastic update! I like how you are choosing to handle disasters given they weren’t supposed to be the point of the game. As for the two hinted at ships, I think the one known for a “daring rescue” is either Carpathia or Ile de France. As for the one that ran down a smaller ship… that could be anything lol
4:03 As someone who is a fan of the history of public transport, and who has watched many documentaries of Liverpools former tramways and unique elevated railway, nicknamed the ‘dockers umbrella,’ I was delighted that both made it into the rendering of Liverpool. Great job to your team on this and everything else!
This is so goddamn amazing!!! All of this game looks so real! The ships, all the ports, all the interiors, they all feel like I could reach in and touch them. Literally almost every frame in this video could be a wallpaper, and this is just an update video!
Very commendable to put quality over the rush to release on any fixed date. We at Studio 346 hold a similar attitude for our project and while all of us are chomping at the bit to be able to explore Grand Voyage, we fully respect and understand the desire to get things right and hope you can take all the time you need to get there. Best wishes from the states, and we look forward to every update along the way, what you're doing is nothing short of spectacular!
Amazing work once again, Mike and the team! One small suggestion (which may be already in the works), it would be cool to give these ships their "voice" back, as in, maybe allow us to sound the horns/whistles. I know it may be near impossible to recreate them but they sounded so powerful it would be cool to hear them in-game. Great work again as always! 😊
I'm a HUGE follower but never speak. I came across Mike years back and have been following ever since. I want you to know there are so many like me that dont speak up as much or 'like' as much because life... but there will be so many, like me, that will buy this. Keep up the good work!
Looking like absolutely lovely work. Please do take the needed time for optimizing before release. It doesn’t matter how good the rest of a game/simulation is if it crashes, stutters, or otherwise runs poorly.
8:04 Nice engine order telegraph Mike. Seen the documentary about the Empress of Ireland where divers found the telegraph that Kendall ordered the engines stop not close watertight doors as he claimed.

Ah, the old ships. What a way to travel! It feels like home to me and yet I've never traveled by boat before. I look at these interiors and think, "They just don't make them like this anymore." With some rooms aboard Cunard and some overdone examples on the new ships being the exceptions. Thank you Mike and team for recreating these glimpses of history that we were never fortunate enough to encounter.
I love the dedication and respect this is giving to the ships. And I also appreciate how much work is going into this and how much credit you're giving to the team as well. This will be worth the wait and there's no need to rush quality. It will take time and that will make it even better when it does release! I am so on board for this! Most technical marbles and wonders are attached to a great price in human life, be it test pilots, astronauts or victims of a sinking, or the men and women using the technology in war. Video Games are a good way to give us a feel for what it must have been like, not perfect, but if done correctly quiet good, indeed. For example reading about Lois Bleriot crossing the channel in his Bleriot XI is one thing, but simulating it in Flight Simulator, gives you a whole new understanding of how incredibly daring that was. It get's you just close enough to the experience to understand how little you understood it before, if that makes sense. And a well made version of a real sinking ship could give you a bigger understanding of and connection to those who where lost in the tragedy, keeping their memory fresh.

Ya know what would be cool? Captain mode. Speed your ship across the Atlantic. In real time or simming it until you get notifications from another ship or from the officers. Get ice warnings, SOS signals, manage your ship through rough weather etc. Get engine problems or other things a captain may have to deal with. Start from a small ship and work up to the grandest ships of the time.
im seeing comments about ile de france, just from what i read it didnt seem as "daring" since there was like 3 ships there already helping. meanwhile the carpathia had to book it through an ice field in the night to try to get to the titanic
Would love a 'Managing Director' mode, where you can take charge of White Star or Cunard and steer them from the late 1880s (around the time of Etruria & Umbria) all the way through to the time of QE2. The more money you make from crossings you can put it towards "building" (unlocking) the newer and grander ships of your respective fleet...possibly changing history so that the merger never takes place, or possibly even goes the other way around.
As a person who used to play with boats in the bathtub this looks like an upgrade

@@Deveolgaming1912 and Oceanic 2
The one that hit the smaller ship is probably the Queen Mary, but who knows.
Wait until they remake the RMS Titanic, that be hilarious. Just easter egg of the movie all over about
What do you need to know about airship R101.
Will the game be available to the steam workshop? This game looks like a modders paradise.
Hi world 🌎
👋🏻
Sounds like Carpathia and Stockholm.
Great work! Will the DLC be free?
No
It's a DLC...
Will it be on steam?
Will it be compatible with Apple Devices?
I need this game in my life immediately. Where can I get it?
honestly I think these damn ships should have 50 games and one horror game but noo titanic gets the spotlight
Will there be people too? :) From time period.. crew, guests, guys fueling massive engines :) Or player will be alone? :)
Ok, got to that point :)
olympic and carpathia? man we need britannic! need me some gantry davits....
im seeing comments about ile de france, just from what i read it didnt seem as "daring" since there was like 3 ships there already helping. meanwhile the carpathia had to book it through an ice field in the night to try to get to the titanic
Is the one that sank the smaller vessel 1930's Olympic?
Unlikely. The olympic class already gets her own MASSIVE recreation with Titanic HG
With the UEVR Injector, I'll be able to experience all this in VR. Just a history buff's dream!
"ran down and sank a smaller vessel"... Queen Mary?!??!?!?!
Is it VR compatible?
Would love a 'Managing Director' mode, where you can take charge of White Star or Cunard and steer them from the late 1880s (around the time of Etruria & Umbria) all the way through to the time of QE2. The more money you make from crossings you can put it towards "building" (unlocking) the newer and grander ships of your respective fleet...possibly changing history so that the merger never takes place, or possibly even goes the other way around.
