- I will show you how to clone and generate remote with vvdi max key tool!! 2010 is a split year for toyota tacoma .. either you will have a dot chip or "g" chip for year 2010 only!! Step by Step How to Programming Instructions:
1. Start with the key out of the ignition, drivers door is open all others closed and drivers door is unlocked.
2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds.
A. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.
B. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.
3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds.
A. Close then open the drivers door.
B. Close then open the drivers door.
C. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.
4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds.
A. Close then open the drivers door.
B. Close then open the drivers door.
C. Insert the key into ignition and leave it in ignition.
D. Close the drivers door.
E. Turn the ignition to ON (Do NOT Start) then back to OFF.
F. Remove the key from the ignition.
5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should lock then unlock automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.
6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds.
A. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds.
B. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, Press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should lock and then unlock once indicating successful programming. If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps A and B in step 6 as the remote was not accepted.
C. Repeat steps A and B in step 6 for each new remote.
7. Open drivers door.
Mike! Pete here, You've always helped me out, I have a tip for you. If you keep at least one chip of each type you've had problems generating for all keys lost, you can just clone the new blank generic into the xt27 instead of using up the only generic chips you have. 👍

When you have trouble programming them with the new VVDI key tool try using the old key tool I usually can program them with it especially Y164 and the Honda Chip's

Hey Mike, thank you for the great videos. I was looking to see if you had one for all keys lost for a 2015 tacoma. I believe this is a "G" chip car. Also needs a master key programed. Can any "G" chip key be a master key? Also, is there a special process for doing AKL on this vehicle with the IM608? Appreciate your help!
they dont have the code on the door lock you have to count the number on the wafer to find bitting .. also the numbers are opposite so if its a 4 it's a 1 .. if its a 2 it's a 3 and so on.. everything else is easy just reset immo and add key

When cloning chip, do you have to generate the super chip first then clone it? Or just clone it right away from original key?
Generating is only when you are going to program the chip to the vehicle... every car needs its own specific chip .. so you have to generate it (all keys lost) when they do have a key and they just need a spare .. if it lets you clone it (cloneable) wich often it does.. you just copy and paste information with key tool max on super chip only ! Cannot use any
Other chip to clone.. no need to generate or program superchip.. but you cannot clone every chip for that is impossible. Only some .. thank you hope that helps member!

@@MYKEYSAUTOMOTIVE hey mike new into car locksmithing here. from what i understand in what you wrote, is that if your VVDI tells you that a CHIP is uncloneable you have to do a AKL and clone the keys as you clone smart keys right? erase all and reprogram them including the original key? thanks for everything mike.
Did you cut the key with the dolphin xp-500. Been having issues cutting double sided keys , like those Toyota and Suzuki.
No i use a regular duplicator .. i only cut double sided keys by code.. when i do all keys lost

Hey great videos I was wondering is it easier to get the keys with the transponder already in it or is there a reason for getting the chip and key separate
I buy them separately becuase i can make different keys with different chips ... and it saves me a little money but its always good to have 2 keys with the chips already in ..

How do you actually attach the key to the remote after you cut it?
You insert a roll pin to keep the blade and remote together with a special tool
