None of my videos are monetized. I posted this for a friend to listen to since he uses TH-cam as a music player. Making him sit through ads would be a dick move.
***** Well I neglected to mention Yacht and Kaufman, the composer would likely be breathing down my neck and DMCA'd all the videos so really you don't have any choice if you want to put it on youtube without remixing it.
They do that all the time. I guess people are just too engrossed in gameplay that they don't sit back and realize how much a soundtrack brings to a game. This goes for films as well.
Capcom's NES titles had a distinctive "metallic" set of sound effects, even for games that did not feature Mega Man. The metallic percussion in this song captures the spirit of their entire sound-engineering philosophy.
The pitch bend snares, periodic noise, and the 12.5% duty cycled melody reek of Metal Man, Fire Man, and Quick Man. Except this kicks so much more ass.
I've been playing Shovel Knight recently, and I haven't even reached the Clockwork Tower. But this song is my favorite song in the entire soundtrack (I've heard it completely way many times). Such an amazing composition, really filled with emotions.
Glitch1500 Plague Knight is not to bad, it's definitely the better of the two that MM10 lady provided. Needless to say, I thought the Iron Whale was kind of plane... Mole Knight's theme however... hoooooly crap is that one nice...
A riveting tale of a mechanical marauder, gearing up for domination. Bard: I tried explaining noise channel manipulation to Tinker Knight. His response: "Do your job, Bard." The nerve!
It feels like they took some of the best aspects of some of the more popular Mega Man stages from Mega Man 2 and 3 and threw it in a blender and got this awesome tasting smoothy of a music gem, am I right? On top of that, it has some similar tunes to Ducktales, specifically the final stage.
Actually, I feel that the final stage theme of DuckTales has more in common with Mole Knight's stage, if you listen hard enough. They use the same pitch, damn near same tempo, and are both placed in fire-themed levels. This one? I can't really compare it to anything Kaufman's done prior. But I can say it reminds of a mix between Quick Man, Dust Man, and either Dark Man or Mr. X.
On my second playthrough, I tried out the "Absolute Immortality" cheat code for fun. Note to self: _DO NOT fall on the scrolling segment._ Sure, you can't die, you just won't be able to get back up because the screen doesn't scroll down.
Man that's crazy, I hadn't looked up who composed the soundtrack but I was wondering if it was Virt. I really liked what he did with the Retro City Rampage Soundtrack.
This is a very late reply to a comment, but it uses the same duty/noise effect as Quick Man and Fire Man's, that's why it sounds similar. I'm not 100% sure how it works, but from what I gather there are two settings for the types of sound the noise channel can produce, the usual "percussion" one and the zappy one, this song is switching between them constantly.
It is the loop length of the noiseproducer in the chip. Either it's really long (like 65535 bytes or something), and white noisy, or it's a very short (31 bytes, maybe?), and more static/tonal sounding.
My god this on my most loved classic tunes Every time I hear it ... I recall megaman and castlevania bloody tears . ohh my god ... jake you are the new classic tunes savor .... :::: ))))))
I played through all of Shovel Knight, Plague Knight (for some reason my favorite), Specter Knight, and all the plus modes except Specter (least favorite) in the past 2 months. For some reason this track has gotten stuck in my head.
yea I know.. I'm gonna get at least 2 of them. I was lucky enough to meet most the staff behind the game in December at the PSE, I picked up a signed soundtrack, a t shirt, poster and a few sweet buttons.
+Andy The stage does feel a bit Metal Manly, but this theme reminds me more of the Special Stage (Fake Man/Overdrive Scramble) in Mega Man 9, personally.
What about the flying stage? Side scrolling segments Inch perfect platforming Having to bounce on an endless sea of thin cannonballs THOSE FUCKING PROPLLER DUDES WHO COME OUT OF NOWHERE AND BLOW ME OFF STAGE
Merkky I felt the flying stage wasn't so bad. There were some tricky multiple fan blower sequences at the last part but it was enjoyable, not irritating.
I didn't like much the Tinker Knight boss fight. I already knew it was a troll two-parts fight, and his appearence felt uninspired to me. But god, this stage is fucking beautiful.
IM PICTURING JESUS CHRIST DANCING TO THIS SONG! I HATE THIS SONG! NOT TO MENTION, I HATE THAT ITS 8 BIT BEEPS AND BOOPS AND A BUNCH OF CLANGING SHIT! WHY CAN'T IT BE RAP?
None of my videos are monetized. I posted this for a friend to listen to since he uses TH-cam as a music player. Making him sit through ads would be a dick move.
Jjjj You're a good guy.
***** Well I neglected to mention Yacht and Kaufman, the composer would likely be breathing down my neck and DMCA'd all the videos so really you don't have any choice if you want to put it on youtube without remixing it.
+Jjjj
Given the state of TH-cam, I doubt that not monetizing will help any.
"Sorry about that." :/
*****
There are many good people amigo. There are not many Rocket Slime fans though so good on you for representing such a gem.
Too bad TH-cam makes you have ads now regardless 😢
How can an 8-Bit song sound so emotional, epic and climactic? I don't know, but 'jake Kaufman is a genius.
Gregor The Mercenary you ask that question as if it's not possible...
Gregor The Mercenary its called having more than 4 channels available to you haha.
The Elba but even with the original (5) channels, it is possible to have emotion in NES music. See Proto Man's Whistle Concert for example
They do that all the time. I guess people are just too engrossed in gameplay that they don't sit back and realize how much a soundtrack brings to a game. This goes for films as well.

This music has so much energy behind it, it's crazy!
This level was so Metal Man, it was insane. I love Metal Man.
Funny how they both have a weakness to gear-like things....
I see this as a combo of Metal Man and the Castlevania clock tower trope
Gear backgrounds, anyone?
Michael Kemel yup. I noticed that, too. but the music is so mega man
Fucking amazing music, anyone?
The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma
One of the best songs of the entire soundtrack!
The best song of the entire soundtrack! (FIFY)
The soundtrack has LOTS of master pieces but this ranks in the top 5
this is one of those songs that takes an entire minute to build up but damn the 0:56 seconds are worth the wait
Those Medusa Missiles are a nice touch.
They're not missiles they're knives with thrusters attached to them which is awesome 😄
You mean cock rockets, lol. That's what we called them on the Cinemassacre channel.
@@Chaosxinc I'll just call them "PP missiles"
This song reeks of Megaman.
And it's good.
And the boss is a giant robot
@@michaelronqedar7919 Tinker Knight was Dr. Wily-ing our ass
The pitch bend snares, periodic noise, and the 12.5% duty cycled melody reek of Metal Man, Fire Man, and Quick Man. Except this kicks so much more ass.
Glad I'm not the only one who noted the similarities with Metal Man's theme
I've been playing Shovel Knight recently, and I haven't even reached the Clockwork Tower.
But this song is my favorite song in the entire soundtrack (I've heard it completely way many times).
Such an amazing composition, really filled with emotions.
this is my favourite track in the game
This track really is freaking awesome...
Same, next to Plague Knight's level music and the Mole Knight's level music
Glitch1500 Plague Knight is not to bad, it's definitely the better of the two that MM10 lady provided. Needless to say, I thought the Iron Whale was kind of plane... Mole Knight's theme however... hoooooly crap is that one nice...
Magic Miguel no the megaman lady composed the first megaman game's soundtrack
She did Megaman 1? I thought she did 10 as well...
A riveting tale of a mechanical marauder, gearing up for domination.

+Ashram Astarcia The level itself though is totally Metal Man. Even Tinker Knight himself, what with him being weak to the mobile gear xD
The scrolling segment ;-;
Wait to you get to propeller knight's stage. (Is what I would have said if this comment wasn't like 5 months old)
On my second playthrough, I tried out the "Absolute Immortality" cheat code for fun. Note to self: _DO NOT fall on the scrolling segment._ Sure, you can't die, you just won't be able to get back up because the screen doesn't scroll down.
JET SET RADIO SUCKS BIG COCK k
Going a little over kill on the cap-locks, my man.
OAK STAKE 1/10
This level reminded me so much of Mega Man 2's Metal Man stage. Hell even the song sounds like his theme!
The song sounds more like Quickman's stage theme tbh
I now proclaim Virt to be the Master of the noise channel. Who's with me?
Man that's crazy, I hadn't looked up who composed the soundtrack but I was wondering if it was Virt. I really liked what he did with the Retro City Rampage Soundtrack.
By far my favorite level in the game
1:03 - 2:20 Anyone else think this part fits the auto scrolling part of the level?
Just one word: HEROISM
One of the best songs in Shovel Knight.
That goddamned gear challenge stage
The noise channel reminds me of Quickman. Anybody else?
huh, nice observation.. :)
You're right, it has that sort of squeaky, echoey effect of Quickman's theme.
Reminds me more of Fireman, but i get where your coming from
This is a very late reply to a comment, but it uses the same duty/noise effect as Quick Man and Fire Man's, that's why it sounds similar. 1:00 When the song hit's that part just right! d ^o^ b
Jake Kaufman, you're a GENIUS!!!!!!!!
My god this on my most loved classic tunes Every time I hear it ... I recall megaman and castlevania bloody tears . ohh my god ... jake you are the new classic tunes savor .... :::: ))))))
Master piece
I played through all of Shovel Knight, Plague Knight (for some reason my favorite), Specter Knight, and all the plus modes except Specter (least favorite) in the past 2 months. For some reason this track has gotten stuck in my head.
I had the same reaction to the little missiles that i had towards the damn bats and medusa heads. so much nostalgia~
Love this song, reminds me of megaman.
This soundtrack is so damned good, it really is.
I'm humming to this song so much my voice is going to go out. It's a safety hazzard, really.
My mind mashes "Killer7 - Heroic Deeds" in with this one.
even though i already own the game on my Wii U, I'd still buy a physical version AND a copy of the soundtrack.
+Grcho420 A physical release is coming out soon.
yea I know.. I'm gonna get at least 2 of them. I was lucky enough to meet most the staff behind the game in December at the PSE, I picked up a signed soundtrack, a t shirt, poster and a few sweet buttons.
Techno-medieval Metal Man
that drum roll at 1:18 it is perfect
Oh god... I'm getting flashbacks of that level.
Oh god... This fucking level and its conveyer belts 😫
I'm still fucking stuck on the first point. I haven't made it to the first checkpoint. XD
Bloonsday device I beat the level like a month ago. I'm done with the game now lol
this song is awesome!!!....
1:03 My neck is shivering.
That part always gives me goosebumps
DAT Ducktales Remastered's Mt. Vesuvius feel :D
Reminds me of Cheetahmen.
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that.
cheetahmen except it's good
tumblr: I want to see my little boy
me: TINKER KNIGHT
I see y'all talking about the metal man nods, but nobody talking about the Castlevania ones!
Best Megaman like game ever
I honestly think this would've fit the Tower of Fate.
This theme sounds too mechanical for the Tower of Fate
If the percussion didn't sound metallic, maybe.
Both this stage and theme reminds me of Metal Man's stage.
+Andy The stage does feel a bit Metal Manly, but this theme reminds me more of the Special Stage (Fake Man/Overdrive Scramble) in Mega Man 9, personally.
+MoupSoup actually, Virt wrote this song, not Manami
I love this soundtrack!
It reminds me of Touhou PC-98 Alice in wonderland, the crescendos are similar.
Nice tastes.
Jjjj Thanks :3 Love this song btw, it's really addictive.
Wow, a Touhou fan. How unexpected!
They're a lot more common than you think, yo.
Jjjj
I know, I know, I myself am one XD I just didn't expect one of us here.
Reminds me, sadly, of Cheetahmen.
Say what you will about that travesty of a game, but at least the theme is balls-kickingly awesome, right?
Right?
lol, i can hear that...
I can't hear this without hearing Grand Dad.
NOBODY will remember or know this, but didn't this play at one of the Game Developers Choice Awards before the game even came out?
Reminds me of the Bowser's Inside Story final boss theme at some parts.
The stage with the cheapest cheapest deaths of all. Im surprised they didn't include medusa heads to fully fit the cheapness.
Xilo Channel the missiles ARE Medusa heads.
What about the flying stage?
Side scrolling segments
Inch perfect platforming
Having to bounce on an endless sea of thin cannonballs
THOSE FUCKING PROPLLER DUDES WHO COME OUT OF NOWHERE AND BLOW ME OFF STAGE
Merkky I felt the flying stage wasn't so bad. There were some tricky multiple fan blower sequences at the last part but it was enjoyable, not irritating.
For some odd reason, I'm reminded of Waterflame.
Abdullah Boushehri this is siiick
Good job Jjjj
Probably reminds everybody of everything haha.
For me, it reminds me of Batman NES, forgot the name of the level though.
Probably
Level 1 streets of destruction
Or
Level 2 ace chemical labs
+airwolfman Funny, it does reminds me the Batman game too!
I listen to this and I believe I could wall jump everytime. Gee!
yeah chemical lab
Reminds me of Spark man's soundtrack from Mega Man 3
honestly I think it sounds more like Metal Man's theme from MM2 and a little bit like the intro part in Bright Man's theme from MM4
metal man much?
This stage was hell, compared to the boss...
CLOCKWORK MAN GET EQUIPPED WITH MOBILE GEAR
I didn't like much the Tinker Knight boss fight. I already knew it was a troll two-parts fight, and his appearence felt uninspired to me.
But god, this stage is fucking beautiful.
Just realized the start is literally the same as Conflict (Megaman X7)'s start. That is the perfect callback to a terrible game with great music.
King of Cards Stages
Shock Assembly
Gyro Foundry
Sealed Cellar
Hated the stage in plague of shadows
one question, is this monetized?
Um... Is this the wrong place? I have a Shovel Blade, not a lemon blaster.
mega hombre xd
Program Crack music be like:
Does this soundtrack exist on a "real CD" as an official soundtrack?
Am I the only who thinks that 0:00 to 0:12 sounds like The Cheetahman. Yes, the game featured in that atrocious, overpriced game know as Action 52...
Darkrayquaza47 If saying something in any way resembles The Cheetahmen isn't an insult, I don't know what is.
Michael Kemel To be fair, music-wise it isn't that much of an insult. The Cheetahmen theme was actually pretty catchy.
Hilipinapixili I guess
+Darkrayquaza47 yep, kinda like cheetahman, and maybe you can remix it with this stage theme
Not to be rude...but I personally think this is the worst song in the game. Just the way it starts up is ear grating to me.
I agree with that, but the rest is okay. I remember it being much better though...
IM PICTURING JESUS CHRIST DANCING TO THIS SONG! I HATE THIS SONG! NOT TO MENTION, I HATE THAT ITS 8 BIT BEEPS AND BOOPS AND A BUNCH OF CLANGING SHIT! WHY CAN'T IT BE RAP?
Because the game is 8 bit...
A rap song in the middle of an 8 bit game would be just a little out pf place.
What the actual fuck
Oh its a troll
goody
