Not long had my timing chain done as it went while driving. Engine light keeps coming on ever since going into limp mode throwing codes about fuel sensors. Had them changed and same problem. Does this mean the chain wasn't lined up properly?
Проблему не решили, зато поменяли цепь. Проблема в форсунках-омывателях, где перестает работать клапан и масло стекает/вытекает из блока - нет давления и башмак не натягивает цепь. Сейчас найду видео - кину ссылку.
Thank you for posting such a great video, I have the same issue with my 2015 Pulsar. It’s only done 59,000 Miles, the oil pressure warning light is coming on intermittently but the rattling has been present for over 6 months. A local garage mechanic found nothing wrong. Do you have any idea what sort of price this job should cost pls?
Brilliant video i am have been looking at the launch diagnostics for a while, do they come programmed with the instructions manual you were following or is that a separate website or download. Cheers Wes
Do you, by any chance, remember the mileage on the odometer? It's sad that according to the manual, the chain needed to be replaced only after 300,000 km; however, in reality, the actual number is much lower (~3.75 times), no matter that the oil has always been replaced every 6,000 miles or so. 😢
This is what happens when you buy cars with crappy French engines in them. I'm surprised your DIG-T didn't blow up from excessive oil consumption before the chain went.
I don’t believe so as the bolts for the rocker cover go into the timing chain case . I would advise to always follow the repair instructions to eliminate any mistakes . Hope this helps
Hi Unfortunately I’m not sure of the oil usage specs on this engine . I was doing a timing chain replacement . Owner of the car didn’t mention any oil usage .
Hi There is not adjustment tool required . The timing marks are on the chain which you line up with the correct marks on the cam pulleys and crankshaft pulley .
@Car Diagnosis cheers man, do they try to spin at all or did you just keep some spanners on them? Gotta do one tomorrow and it's not a engine I know that's all
Great video, thank you. Did you need to remove the alternator and a/c pump? Just about to do one on a Juke and the repair manual says to remove them both.
Brilliant video dude, hats off to you for tackiling it 👏
Thank you for the feedback
On the cam sensor is it lift the toggle or press down on it to unfasten the plug? Thx
very informative video thank you, would that tooth being out cause a popping sound on deceleration and possibly a 3000rpm vibration by any chance?
Hey,
What the cost riffly on this service on the same engine?
My Rocker gasket been changed now, and we checked the chain already.

How did you get the crank pulley off?
How many times did you had to turn it to get back to match on timing marks do you remember ???
How come you had to take the cam cover off??
Hello mate, did you have to lock the camshafts with a kit or just keep some spanners on them?

Hi . Sorry I didn’t count so I’m not sure . But it take a lot of turns . May up to 20 turn overs. Hope this helps .
Could this be done without removing rocker cover or not enough room to get chain out? Cheers
