On my Huawai p40 lite all steps are correct and files correct on USB SD card.. But mysterious after says :update sacces..(downgrade complete from SD card)..
Reboot.. And Brick my phone :(

Hi there, I tried to downgrade my P40 Pro in order to get Google Play Services. I backed up my phone using HiSuite prior to this. Unfortunately the Google Play Services did not work as I had hoped. I am now trying to return my P40 Pro to the original version of software and restore all my files but I can't get it to work. How can I go back to the original firmware that was on the phone? The base software was 10.1.0.148 and I rolled it back to 10.1.0.131. When I check for software updates it says I have the most current version but that's not correct. HiSuite is also not allowing me to restore all my files and applications. I need some serious guidance.... PLEASE HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!

Hi! I got an error when i wass booting from the usb drive. It refuses to downgrade. Shows the error"update is uncompatable with current version" and i cant continue.how to proceed

I downloaded the firmware for my device. When I extracted it, it has two files. Deload and firmware. Deload is only 395mb and firmware is more than 2GB

Yet again , ive just spent all morning attempting this . And yet again it fails every time ... ive given up . followed everything .. still nothing. 3 times this morning ... it states there is no update file ... even moved the files around and tried other ways for it to see the file on restore.. NOTHING / P40 pro with rolled back software . If anyone else has any ideas id love to know

I am unable to install GMS on Huawei Y6p after carefully going through your videos.
So far only the Vmos Pro method worked.
But I'll prefer the googlefier method. Attempts to downgrade the firmware after watching your videos also failed as there were no firmwares for MED-LX9 (Y6p).

One little tip. If you have troubles coping file to your pendrive, format fat32 to NTFS. It was installed fat32 on my pendrive and got some problems installing update but now it is ok.

The downgrade file on the usb is not working. Sits on 'verifying update' and then tells me doesnt work. I think I downloaded the correct one. Phone is JNY-LXY 10.1.0.237 (C185E3...) - Please let me know where I could possibly find a downgrade file that will work. Have searched the web and not able to find another one.

Mine is from Samsung and Adata flash drive. First extract file on pc and copy only dload folder.
Thank you Ross for another great video! 1 Question - does the E# & R# number behind the CUST region version matter? eg: mine is TAS-L29 (C636E6R8P5) but the only firmware i can find online is C636E8R7P1 - will it brick my device if E# R# is different?
It won't brick your device, these are regions after region. Better check updated video in description 👍
@@SystemHacks so i finally got a usb OTG adaptor and pendrive to flash in TAS-L29 (C636E8R8P1) but it says incompatibility with current version - so im stuck with a phone that cannot connect via usb and cannot downgrade via OTG :(
@@SystemHacks i noticed in video above you only have "update_sd_base.zip" in the dload folder, what about "update_sd_cust_xx.zip" and "update_sd_preload_xx.zip"?
When i put all 3 zip into dload it says "incompatible with current version" and cannot update ROM.
If i only have base.zip in dload folder, i can update ROM, but it will restart into boot loop screen "your device has loaded a different operating system"
Any help is appreciated.
@@SystemHacks Long overdue post but I managed to fix all my issues shortly after all the above "incompatibility with current version" OTG errors by just relying on OTA restoration of my OS through local Telco. Once done I was able to hisuite down to emui10 again and used googlefier method in your other video :) happily using native GMS & apps since then. Thanks Ross

It keeps failing to copy the base zip to my usb stick ?then if I try and update it’s says not compatible tried both firmwares for my device same issue
First unzip it on the computer and copy only dload folder.

hello kind sir, can i ask a question ? i downloaded 3 different firmware with the same model, but my "dload" folder doesn't have the @t, there is only 3 zip file inside the dload folder and whenever i tried to update like you do, it says software update faield, can you please help me ?
You need to format your usb drive as ntfs it should be at least 8gb and copy only dload folder 👍

If you have dload folder use it if not you download wrong firmware.

This will not void your warranty it's official firmware from Huawei. Just you need to be careful when selecting your firmware. And all your data will be lost.

hey, On the xda forums i dont see the correct version, Mine is JNY-LX1 10.1.0.311 But on the forums theres only for 10.0.1.111

Because it's MTK device and MTK is crap. And there is video about y6p, use Gspace. This is only working solution for this device.
