obviamente, era un sitio estrategico que debia ser fortificado/refortificado las veces que fueran necesarias

A very very very ancient place. With our modern ways, we forget how life was in ancient times.

indeed, incredibly ancient! i don´t think we forgot how life was back then - instead i would say: we don´t know!
sanliurfa/urfa/edessa/ur was an enormous cultural hub, even extra-terrestials came for visits ... ;-))

Never seen or heard anything aboutt his place before. Thank you so much for this. And nubs on pillars? First time for me. All those nubs on ancient sites all around the world are so puzzling!

Those knobs are remaining, excessive material after plastering the stone, when the stone is in softened, pulp form. Ancients had the knowledge to how manipulate the stone's physical form.

In its crowning glory, that place must have been magnificent. Wouldn't it be cool to go to those places wearing 3D cameras that way you can share it with others who would wear 3D goggles to get a feeling for the place.

According to the official version, this is a counterfeit from the Middle Ages, and there were many such shrouds. In the Middle Ages, various merchants did business selling supposed relics - the crown of thorns from the head of Christ, iron nails, pieces of Christ's wood and other nonsense. Even if the shroud suddenly turned out to be real - what difference does it make? He is a human just like other people of that period. Let's say aliens (or even Enki himself) were able to impregnate Mary - and what does that change? Absolutely nothing. And Enki will appear before the Galactic Court for his countless crimes (sooner or later)

These blocks are clearly cast. The Geopolymer Institute has shown that casting stone was known and understood by the ancients. I mean the stone with with the nobs.

The local stone is limestone or similar type stones. And knobs are specific traces from the quarry.

We still can't make "rocks" that exactly match the microscopic composition, and the chemical composition of the rock that is still in the quarry. If the Ancients could do that, they had insanely advanced technology. We still aren't even close to being able to do that.

@@amberandrews6842 The Geopolymer Institute shows how the Egyptians made the blocks for the pyramid. There are bubbles in the blocks and organic matter.

@@polygon2744 I watched his presentation. They still can't produce a twin rock, structurally, to the rock strata/ridge/shelf they took the starter rock from. You appear to miss my main point. The advanced technology they have used to do what they are doing. The academic crowd still wants us to believe that prior civilizations did this with copper chisels, and pounding stones. Because they were backwards, unsophisticated little better than cavemen. Doing even the level of geopolymer that's being done now, has taken ADVANCED technology.
