    As doctor passionate about skin care that delivers results and about well aging, I want to help you quickly and efficiently pick a skin care regime that works, by explaining the science behind skin and by sharing quick product reviews.
    I am a big believer that creating a skincare routine that targets your specific concerns is not a matter of your budget. There are many great affordable brands out there: The Inkey List, Good Molecules, Geek & Gorgeous or pixi skincare to name a few of my favorites, and if you know how to combine them, you are well on your way to healthy and happy skin.
    Healthy and happy skin does not mean "flawless" - whatever that might be. I have been struggling with acne, hyperpigmentation and postinflammatory erythema (PIH and PIE) for most of my adult life, and it took me a while to figure out that gentle is key. I went through a retinol damaged skin barrier, acne flare ups and sun damage until I finally reached my happy place: With Tretinoin, sunscreen and of course a red lipstick!

      Haven't realy found one that worked well. Years ago, I did use some very potent Korean ones.. but since I discovered The Ordinary, I have tried some of their stuff. Not really for my taste..

      I currently make my own solution for personal use with 20% ascorbic acid, 0,5% ferulic acid and 1% caffeine. Some humectants as well like glycerine and propanediol. I tried working with vitamin e but I don't have access to the necessary solubilizers to solve tocopherol in a mainly aquaeos serum. I love formulating my own things nowadays whenever they are safe to formulate and feasible, unlike sunscreens.

    I've used many different serums, cream, toners, but every time I do, I get pimples and my skin gets worse. I've been using for months.
    Recently, I read someone's feedback and began applying litleexttra rice berry vitamin c face serum. It's working well, and I don't have pimples issues anymore. My skin looks better than ever.
    At times, I also use a besan facepack, which makes it glow even more.

      Thank you for this feedback. Now I’m definitely not gonna waste money on this. As it contains fragrance/perfume as well as AHA/BHA which is not good for my sensitive Rosacea skin. My skin even hates Retinol, Niacinamide, Aloe Vera, rice, oat, Centella Asiatica, snail and most vitamin C. Tho not an issue pre Rosacea as I used to use those exact ingredients😭😭😭

    Hi Dr Anne, thank you so much for making this video, I was waiting for this particular serum actually to be reviewed as I wanted to buy it for a while. I totally agree with the droppers, this is the case for the Effaclar serum as well. I like that it has some salicylic acid as well, but what I don't like at all is that the colour is orange-ish because then you can't visibly observe the ascorbic acid oxidizing as that will turn slightly yellow. The latter is the reason for why I have not and probably will not buy it. Love La Roche Posay though, they have amazing sunscreens. Btw your hair looks amazing in this video!

    I decided to try it a couple weeks ago. Thank goodness I bought it at a discount for “only” 32€… really disappointed.
    At first I thought I had received an expired bottle due to it being “gooey” rather than liquid. Then the strong added sweet scent surprised me in a bad way, why even add a scent at all? After a couple of weeks the neck of the bottle super messy and dirty with product just as mentioned in the video. The Drop picker is indeed really poorly designed, it can easily leak product.
    The normal price for it now is 45€ , such joke in my opinion.

    that orange color means it wasn't fresh, and probably oxidated, IMO. I found one quite a white-fish, and turned in orange ofc, after 3-4 weeks. So I guess it is not fresh product. It is not good formula, IMO, Scinceuticals got that one righ that other copy, ofc as they are so expensive.

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It got much darker during the time I had it and the initial color matched the one on there website, but I agree, it went off pretty quickly. I never tried SkinCeuticals - it is just SO expensive!

      I am using Geek and Georgeus. never tried Skinceuticals, but I know it is their formula, they had some trials for few things, and for vit C some lawsuit, anyhow of vit C I did try Timeless 20% - good, but irritated mostly nasolabial lines. (btw, of Timeless I must try Q10 and HA serum, that sound good, and it is Poland that import for EU market and it is available, their vit C is not, not even 10%, bit I found their pump bad for use, but vit C is colorless and in fridge I think 2 month durability) Skinceuticals I don't use, too expensive, only their suncream SPF 50 do, it is about 45EUR, double then regular, but it is a good cream. I also got some recommendations, something for hyperpigmentation of them, but I think I will try azaleic acid first, Skinoren or I found one new French or Spanish cream - Metrorubroil. I have PCOS, had a to of acne in the past, but basic oily skin, but with that atopic things- from rhinitis and sinusitis to dermatitis. So ,maybe this acid I could add to my routine first, if that won't do, then I will try this Skinceuticals, and Vit C will continue Geek and Gorgeous. It works fine and no need to change that.

    As someone with hyper sensitive Rosacea fungal acne/Malasezzia Folliculitis skin, I never understood why brands target their products as safe for sensitive skin yet it contains fragrance/perfume🙄🫣🫠 I was gonna try this until I read the ingredients list. Not just LRP, but also Avene does this. I used to be abke to use vitamin C and eat citrus. Not anymore. Breaks me out, and flare up. And hard to find anything lower than 15%. And the one from Skinceuticals with 10% which I really wanted which is also without fragrance is way to expensive for only 30 ml. Like what a fraud!
