I think that Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull are so close together that it is going to give you a headache making your top 5 lists 😅 Great video!
Absolutely but I’m happy to have a headache for it LOL
Max number #1 .
Just hoping Max won’t get pole here. Though every now and then I watch his 2023 pole lap cuz it is freaking amazing!
@AntiXTB-cd6ji Sergio isn’t considered a contender alonzo is faster than bro.
hopefully...i would have laughed at you in bahrain or saudi, even china
i exepcted the teams to close up around maybe spa or silverstone not this early
1988 Senna Monaco qualifying was, for single laps, the greatest ever. He was 1.5 SECONDS ahead of Prost.
In the race, he had over a MINUTE lead before crashing simply because he kept pushing. He was trying to bury Prost, and in the end, cost him the race.
Senna was a go big or go home driver
thing is, prost is too objective driven to care if senna won by a minute or 10 minutes. why risk the car closing that lead when there is no need to do so. probably knew he couldnt outqualifying senna or beat his race pace so he settled for second without shunting it.
I want Charles to break the curse. He’s been on pole 2 times and another time in f2. Everytime something has went wrong, 2022 breaks my heart. I want him to win here so bad 🙏
He does not deserve it, because he makes so many mistakes and this track is meant to be won by people who can get close to the walls without making mistakes
@@bananagaming7612You say this as If leclerc wasn't on a masterful drive here in 2022, He deserves to win more than you deserve the right to comment
@@bananagaming7612 people are really obsessed with this take. Charles has barely made any mistakes since France/imola 2022. Charles is incredibly consistent now, why do you think he is the only driver to have finished in the top 4 in every race and sprint this season. This take is so old and terrible. Max made a mistake in Miami that cost him damage and possibly the race win, but nobody talks about that. Congrats on being a Charles hater though and having this over used and terrible take
@@Snazzy16thank you!
@@Snazzy16 Max kamikazed 2-3 times a Ferrari in 2018-19 (I dont remember) and everyone forgot because he didnt have to overtake for quite a long time
50% Precipitation on Saturday!!!! I’m a deep rooted Verstappen fan and I would be happy if Max got second to see LeClerc break that curse and win his home Grand Prix. It would be a lifetime achievement and memorable moment for everyone.
Absolutely
Nice
qualifying on Saturday would be epic i think it will be even more driver dependent, ideally no practice in rain and than wet qualifying, with changeable race
I like it , your a true fan of the sport.
I too have a feeling that it’s a Leclerc win loading but after what Max did in quali last year, it’s so hard to bet against him.
Very true
.250s in s3 is nuts
Leclerc peforma melhor em Mônaco. Ao menos em classificação 😂😂
Even the betting bookies don’t want to bet against him. 😂
Found this channel on accident, turns out it’s a gem. Clear and concise, easy to understand, and in depth! Very nicely done, well worth a subscription
😁❤️❤️
I try to leave positive comments from time to time, hope it helps the algorithm.
Great find indeed! I love this channel!
Charles sounded very confident that Ferrari will have *strong pace* in Monaco, hopefully they won't have too much trouble firing up the tyres in qualifying trim this time out because I think a Leclerc win around the streets of Monte-Carlo would light up his season proper.
What a stunning livery man, cant wait to see them on track! Also hope Charles is finally able to take the checkered flag first in front of his home crowd!
Lets not jinx it. Let Charles cook. I hope he wins, the guy deserves it. He is so hard on himself and I can see the winner mentality he has. Great video btw, you always have great insights for the race weekend and f1 in general.
Charles needs to race not cook
@@OnlineHipHopTV Bro is from stone age😭
If Charles is leading this will be the most exciting race of the year for both fans and haters to see if he can finally break the curse 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Its going to be an interesting weekend, so many questions. Will Red Bull find a good setup, can Leclerc win, will Perez show off the Red Bull floor and how wide will Alonsos Aston get?
The Alonso train is coming
“Show off red bull floor” - Shots fired. One can anticipate Perez to be fast here considering it’s a street circuit
I hope Alonso shows who he really is, finishing top 5❤
Absolutely 😁💚
@@F1Unchained Thank you for replying and making F1 content so quick, you are my favourite F1 cc🤩
@@jasanedognipic1541he reads our reply 👍👍
'shows who he really is' yeah a backmarker driver again lmfao
@@sadikurrahman4833 Never a backmarker driver even in shitty McLaren Honda. Thats no way to talk about your daddy.
Solid content. 🫡
11:35 Same tbh. I don’t get how people can call for Monaco to be removed from the calendar. Yes it isn’t the most exciting race, but it’s one of, if not the most important race on the calendar. The Monaco Grand Prix is as old as F1 itself, if F1 loses Monaco, it will no longer be F1 anymore.
Agreed and it’s only one time we go on a track like this
Im all in for the qualy and the upgrades that may alongside the track specific parts
And the chance of someone who hasn’t won this season 😁
I hope Charles does well but I hope people dont crucify if he doesnt do it. Him alongside Max and Lando people want them to fail so they can jump on them so quick
Helmut Marko has said that he thinks Leclerc is the favourite to take pole position and he is worried about the kerbs and bumbs of the track, the same problems they faced in Singapur last season
Ferraris tires are the only thing I worry about
@@F1Unchained Agreed, and its wild considering last season when they were literally eating their tires every race 😂☠️
@@oscarpitarch4304 They went from one extreme to the other in terms of tyre degradation.
One F1 channel improving steadily. This video is really excellent.
😁❤️❤️
Well leclerc is the favourite to go for pole and please the win😅
Would love for him to win so deservingly
@@F1Unchained yep
Been here since 30k, and its now a routine and something I need to watch before race-weekends. Love your content, keep it up! Greetings from Norway 🤑
Your suggestion to eliminate the hard tire (C3) in order to the Monaco Grand Prix a two stopper is a GREAT idea.
😁❤️
Its supposed to be 20 deg apparently so tyre warmup should be crucial where McLaren sort of edges out redbull and ferrari and the livery should give them a tenth extra (lol). I can see max p1 and double McLaren podium
I could see that happening as well my friend
Im soooo HYPED for this race!!!!
So close :)
@@F1Unchained i just really hope leclerc finally breaks the "curse"
I don't think getting rid of the hard tire would do much for the race, people would just go even slower and make a one stopper work with the softer compounds. A mandatory two stops in the other hand, would be nice to see. Great video as always! Cheers from Brasil! :)
Cheers my friend and fair point with the hard but with a mandatory 2 stop without the hard, that would be fun
I have a feeling that finally Leclerc is getting his deserved win at home
Been coming on TH-cam lately looking for your new content. Fantastic work👏
😁❤️❤️
I had been following The Race for a while but F1Unchained is so much better. He really looks at the technical stuff and vids are full of great content
As a Verstappen fan, I hope Charles wins. It always feels nice to win at home. However, if RB gets their car sorted, I'm pretty sure RB will win.
Your preview/prediction videos are when I start getting hyped for race weekend!! Good call on Yuki's qualifying pace last week!
Great video, with fantastic historical data! Thanks man love your Chanel, keep it up 👍 Peace ✌️
I think Lando will do pretty well in qualifying tbh, currently forecast to rain over quali and he has historically gone quite well here, also his confidence in the McLaren seems to be growing with each race. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a 4 way pole fight between him, Leclerc, Verstappen and Alonso tho, they are all super strong here. Either way should be great weekend, margins are gonna be so tight!!! Thanks for another great video!
He always seems to crack under pressure in qualifying when the McLaren is able to take pole
It’s beautiful, McLaren really got the right combination, love the tribute car. Well done! Senna was a BEAST in that track
I fear the Aston Martin won't allow Fernando to shine at Monaco. Their qualifyings have been a disaster lately! Maybe he can squeeze somehow into the Top10.
Mercedes should be strong here, as they are good in low speed corners and tyre wear isn't an issue here as well.
I too hope Charles can finally brake his home GP curse and win the race on Sunday. The Ferrari is very good in low to medium speed corners, which should help him and Carlos this weekend. Don't underestimate Carlos, he's very good around here. Maybe not quite as good as Charles, but still very fast around the streets of Monte Carlo.
You think mcl will struggle at least a little bit here? One of their weaknesses is slow speed corners and Monaco has a good bit of slow speed. Stepla said it’ll take around a year for them to tackle that problem
Stella*
They seemed to have addressed that issue
I definietly could see a Charles W but the way Max has qualified this year is another level... I'd be shocked if he didn't win pole, and therefore, the race... I also like Lando above Piastri. I think Lando drives well here as he was on the podium not too long ago and his race pace will be better as well... @f1unchained will you be watching the Indy500?
The first f1 race I ever saw, 10 yrs old - the film Grand Prix. James Garner recreated Ascari going into the water. 😊
Iconic red and white mclaren would've been nice, but the Brazil livery isnt bad. A respectable tribute to the goat.
Also, his name is Olivier, not Oliver
❤yes love your prediction woohoo Charles ❤
❤
@@F1Unchained have a wonderful day, thank you for this nice video 👍👍👍
I like the picks , it’s those short corner drivers that do well in Monaco,.. Fernando being the outlier
5:01 willian T-shit got me hahaha use to be good on monaco back in the good old days
i genuinly think we have a battle for the both championschips this year, and next year will be even closer. Lets goooo
Agreed if a lot of stuff goes right this year
I think that's a stretch to beat Max for drivers championship but definitely the constructors could be up for grabs. Well know for sure after this weekend.
Awe man, I feel for you with LeClerc. I'm hoping for chaos with Alonso pulling something out from somewhere. If I were to guess top 3, Max, Sainz, Piastri.
Love Monaco GP as a spectacle, however having so low expectations from the race with these large cars… But if the quali is wet that would be crazy
I forgot about all of these moments over the years. Many of these though were with smaller and lighter cars.
I think Charles breaks the curse this weekend.
P1- Leclerc
P2- Max
P3- Norris
P4- Sainz
P5- Piastri
Norris Finished 6 or 7.
and i think tsunoda can get in top 10 . btw where position for another RB ? 😂 pretty sure they have 2 driver
Best intro you've made!
😁❤️❤️
I predict someone will get in the lead, then lap about 4 seconds off the pace, put in a bit of a charge around the pit stop window, and then repeat to the end. There might be an overtake somewhere down the field, and we get to look at the floor of a couple of cars. Could be a thriller.
I'm questioning about in this season or after the finish, if you could do a regroup for every track, from the best laps from last generation of hybrids and ground effect era. I'm curious if these cars could close the gap and get some lap records.
Piastri's first win.
Agreed. Oscar has a damn good chance of winning this race.
@@michaelcobbin he has poor race pace still
@@InflictedMedia Monaco GP is not a high degradation circuit and has little overtaking opportunities. Piastri race pace at Miami was excellent. Monaco GP is all about how well you do in qualifying and Piastri has the short-corner driving style that Max has.
Wow...the McLaren livery should serve as an example to Ferrari of how to do once off liveries....I'm still smarting from the disappointment of expecting a blue Ferrari only to end up with a Red Ferrari with some blue stripes 😂
It’s a beautiful livery
I love this track, the races can suck sometimes (usually lately) , buts it's such a classic with such history, if they ever get rid of Monaco I will stop watching F1 in protest.
Bro i wish mclaren never changes this livery, it's the most beautiful i've ever seen
Agreed
Agreed x2
Agreed 3x
i have a feeling dannyric might do something amazing here
Loads of commitments mate
Hoping for a thrilling race, enjoyed the history bits as well!
Hmm. With this being a tight twisting track with 78 laps. RB might have some issues if they have to use hard compound at any point without making at least a 2 stopper.if they choose not to use hards. Mclaren and ferrari I think will be the strongest here depending on strategy
I'm praying for Aston, this was their closest GP in winning and I hope to see a good run here(but the current car is both quite different, and quite poor overall so far)
They have a good chance if they are able to fire those tires up
Same but RB20 is really good in low speed corners
@@ibrahimalatrash8008also the ferraris
@@F1Unchained We can only hope 🙏
Last year's Q3 was one of the best in history, but I think this year could be even crazier
I guess Aston will do something about their brake problems & Fernando will show us what the car can, or can't, do. An Alonso driven upset could be a possibility
Please Leclerc pull off your masterclass
1:23 - It’s not Oliver Panis, it’s Olivier Panis, you missed out the second I.
Pronounced “Olive-E-A”.
Sorry dude, I know I keep correcting your vids, I’m not being mean, just helping you learn, keep up the vids. 👍
A wet Monaco is always exciting
Agreed
Brilliant video.
😁❤️
I don’t think mclaren will be super strong here like imola as their car mainly loses out on low speed corners but dominate high speed corners, the redbull rb20 is super strong in the low speed corners and still decent in high speeds I reckon Verstappen will take this one
An excellent presentation and graphics. You’re absolutely nailing it ! This channel is P1 for me (apologies to Matt & Tommy !)… well done and thank you. 😊👍🏻
Thank you my friend I love to hear this 😁❤️
Ferrari anda forte em curvas, isso pode ser um fator decisivo em monaco, já que o sf24 evo não peformou bem na reta de Ímola né
How do you see Mercedes, Aston and VisaRB in 6 to 10th?
Yes should be around there but I can honestly see them higher depending on driver
Honestly would not miss this track if it was removed from the calendar.
Omg the livery from McLaren is just amazing , I don’t know my thoughts goes that hulkenberg and Daniel will surprise in the qualifying (my guess)
One part of formula 1 that still boggles my mind is how the drivers get told and have to time getting out of the way of the dude on a hotlap coming up behind you. I would have too much anxiety trying to not screw it up for someone. I cant imagine trying to do that on this tight track
- maybe an idea for a video topic? Who decides the quali order. What are the rules, what is the meta. Whats best practice for a driver to follow while being on track while others are doing a hotlap.
That Alonso photo cracked me up, hadn't seen that before
blessed intro :)
4:35 Huh, that’s actually a great idea
😁😁
As much as I want max to Win, I think Ferrari and Charles will dominate. They have the best low speed performance and mechanical grip because of their supreme chassis control from their suspension. Redbull has their suspension set up to allow the car to work as aerodynamically efficient as possible which is not as advantageous around a track like monaco. Ferrari usually set up their suspension to allow for the highest mechanical grip, that's why they've always had tyre troubles since the 2000's, but setting the car up like this usually pays dividends around tight and bumpy tracks.
Hoping Charles breaks the curse this year, or Carlos dominating, IDM either way
Carlos won't be dominating monaco mate... It's just not one of his best tracks
Wearing the Williams shirt and then saying they the worst team is foul 😭 (and true)
NEW F1UNCHAINED VIDEO LETS GOOOOOOO
❤️💚
Would you guess Hulkenberg or Ocon does better this week? I know Hulk is great at qualifying, which is super important for Monaco, but top speed also is not important on this track, which seems a negative for Haas.
Ocon will beat out hulk it my prediction for this weekend
@@F1Unchained Thank you 🙏🏼
Quali will be a main key factor here for the race..
Mixed conditions will be interesting, Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Ferrari doesn't have a tire warm-up issue. The reason why the SF-24 was losing out to Red Bull and McLaren in sector 1 during the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix has to do with how the Ferrari Power Unit developed its power. Ferrari uses a smaller turbo than both the Honda and Mercedes Power units.
From the data, Jolyon Pamer's analysis shows that Max Verstappen gained .150 seconds over McLaren and .250 seconds over the Ferrari because of the Nico Hulkenberg tow.
After looking at the data, Charles LeClerc came to the same conclusion. It's not because of their tire warm-up. It has to do with their power unit.
I think judging by Aston going backwards every race. This race they will be fighting Kick Sauber
In the top 5 I would ADD Sainz and maybe streetfighter Perez. (Top 7 completed) . They can finish in any order...
Fair enough
hope monaco and imola stay forever,i love narrow tracks,i don't really get the spectacle of dumb overtakes personally, for me is seeing the mastery of individual drivers as i get older, rather than last lap overtakes
this is what i fear liberty might get pressured to do...change monaco...wich should not happen, its the only track virtually the same since the 70s
There have been very few dnfs this year. Wonder if that trend continues this weekend.
Bro is delulu, but i love it !
The race is gonna be more interesting with mandatory 2 or 3 stops, like in Qatar last year.
Mclaren does not dissapoint in their Liveries!
I'm feeling that Max will make a mistake in qualy this race, maybe he'll just try to push too hard and go in a escape road or maybe he'll get a big hit in sector 3 and be out of pole contention
Well I hope so, If he gets a bad result in the race and Charles wins then charles will be much closer in the championship
If it rains on Friday Lando and Lewis could make the podium, that British experience witj the rain has come through before
I HOPE the livery doesn't diminish McLaren pace ,balance and speed for qualifying and overall race.
Seeing how much the RedBull improved in slow corners and kerb riding compared to last year I think Max is gonna be favorite. If you look how wheel Max rode the kerb in variante alta in imola. Even the last couple laps Max gained about .15 seconds on Lando every lap before losing it in the last two corners.
Reverse the top 3 and I’ll be your mate for life lol
Danny Ric had and MGUK problem not a gearbox problem when he won
Was daniel having both a mgu-k failiure and a gearbox issue at the same time?
I´m gonna add to that top 5 a dark horse (well he should not be a dark horse since he drivers a Red Bull) Sergio Perez. He has won in Monaco before, he is good on street tracks and Perez really needs to prove himself this season so Monaco could be his golden opportunity to show Red Bull what he is capable of.
I am a Max fan since he started his carreer but I truely hope Leclerc finally wins his home GP this year
8k in 2h my man is famous
Check out Monaco quali from 2005
Mate, im all over Piastri for the win here ❤
Fuck what anyone says, I absolutely love Monaco race weekends.
Why do I get the feeling a RedBull car will clip the wall or barrier 😅
