This Germany Team is the best composition compared to the previous matches. By changing that team composition, they can use Ruben Scott to serve substitutes Tobias Krick.

I think Canada hasn't yet found that go-to leader who can always be reliable no matter the situation. Winters and Perrin were those players.
Maar has shown in Monza that he can be that player.
They also need a tier-1 gun like they did in Sherone Vernon-Evans or even Gavin Schmitt back in the day. Just someone to put the ball away. Seems like Maar is becoming that player.

I was there and Canada was embarrassing. It felt like 8 out of 10 serves was a high school float serve that looked like a free ball everytime. No other team does easy serves like Canada did. It was frustrating af to watch
Float serves are a strategic move. Jump serves are used for when you want a 1:1 High Risk/High Reward. Float serves are when you want a 2:1 Low Risk/High Reward. You put the ball in play and hope that you get a block or a dig/transition point. You only do it when you know they have weaker hitters rotated to the front.

Too much chaos to be honest. Either both teams were very nervous, or their playstyle lacks control and a proper system. Multiple people going for the second ball, too much improvisation, also the run-ups and jumps don't look clean. Many of the swings are completely off-balance. Of course they are still playing on the world stage, and deserve to be there. They are all professional athletes. I'm just saying the entire game looked chaotic. This is some scuffed Volleyball on the world stage.

This, was a disapointing one for me....Canada, like the coach has been statung has no consistency. Do they want to win??? The serves were not great today...Marr was not as on as usual...the setter was struggling.

I blame the coach too. He lost to 3 teams in a row yet did zero roster changes. Kept the same starters the entire weekend

...But he's very new...first tournament new. He also has an Olympic silver medal and a club title this year in Poland.
I say the Team can do better ...no matter who the coach is. Olympic medalist or bozo the clown!!!

@@savinabees9220 sure. but even on my rec team, when we lose 2 sets in a row, we make changes to the rotation just to mix it up to try something diff. its common sense. this coach didnt do that for 3 straight games

Germany doesn't play the cleanest volleyball. Teams who aren't disciplined have dedicated point scorers will fall victim to playing down on Germany's level.
