I know it is unrelated but since you're dropping the games part to do broader material, I figured I'd mention the following suggestion for your investigations. Mental Health Awareness marketing and charities...
I did a dodgy ramble or two about it but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed and mine were also very domestically focused. But the point stands. Serious mental health issues and suicide have become a sales pitch or money pit in itself from charities that exist only to pay their own wages (in my case, I had government data to source) to stickers and logos added to popular consumables to appear sympathetic whilst selling you their iced coffee or chocolate bar.

@@crashzone6600 Marketing and artificial supply restraint. Seriously, corporations and governemnts all over the world have entire vaults full of gemstone-grade diamonds that they won't release because it would implode the market. That's also the real reason for the publicity campaign against conflict diamonds - it gives them an easy excuse to further constrain demand when it's convenient for them. (And when it's convenient not to? Well, one white lie never hurt anyone, amirite...)
I would argue that industrial-grade diamonds have more intrinsic value than gemstone-grade, because at least there you can use them for something productive. I suppose gemstone-grade could also be useful for focused energy weapons in the future, but the power demands of such devices are still at the point of impracticality for the foreseeable future.

I agree that you cannot lose when you don't play. You cannot win either. In order to lose or win, you have to obey the rules of the game and therefore play it. If it was as easy as you said, not participating in the Olympics makes you a winner because you didn't participate and it doesn't make sense to me at least.

I think Earth 2 could've been a good idea for a game, buy tiles, they might have natural resources, improve them and sell the harvest or process them with factories build on other tiles, like one big economic MMO, but WITHOUT NFTs.

I actually just got into a huge back and forth with Shane in his new video but he deleted all his replies lol. I joked about him using the same default avatar model Dreamworld used. Then, he unwittingly continued to misinterpret and not understand basic terms like rendering and couldn't explain his claim of "500 gbs of resource data" which he claimed to use to find resources that ended up being very randomly spread out. Too bad he deleted his long winded, childish and pointless replies.

It is has been a while since I have last seen these "Earth 2 Scam exposed" videos from you. Those Earth 2 creators need to be facing multi-million dollar lawsuits and prosecution for creating this "invest-in-non-existant-land-to-sell-non-existant-land" scheme. It is like someone trying to sell Simcity save files, I am not spending money to buy someone else's non-existent city they made in a program.

There are scammers who pretend to sell land on the Moon or in Scotland, they also never were prosecuted, and TH-cam is even involved in the scams. I reported the scammers and nothing was done.

Someone on Callum Upton's video said that it's gonna be some lousy, lazy text command/chat stuff. Like you type /raid user XYZ and then you pray to the RNG gods that will they tell you in chat in one or two sentences that you have successfully raided user XYZ and that you're now so much richer with some invisible fake resource that has no uses. Given the fact that the developers didn't pay people promised royalties that they were supposed to get on some system within the game than that means that they have already turned action to become a scam.
I think that a full video on the Earth 2 drama is like a full video on the Chris-Chan timeline.

What's even funnier is that people are buying squares based on what is on them in real life, not realizing that there is no way the devs can equate with what is in Earth 2 to the real life equivalents. Modern Warfare 2 game already had to remove a bunch of their maps such as Getty Museum because they don't have the copyrights to them.
