Yes very good assessment and l agree with Dan Neil man of the match he has been very good last few game for me. The first six games of the season we had such a high energy press which nobody could live with, where and why has this gone? Still settle for 7 points out of 9 on the last 3 games but we need to address the slow start, one good half, one bad half culture if we are going to be any threat to the top two.
for their first goal you missed Jobe letting the striker run off him and then watching him I agree with shocking defending, poor by Jobe for the 2nd goal giving the free kick away but quality finish, It was interesting to listen to their manager after the game, pretty honest view from him, well done to the las and RLB for the 2nd half performance though

Great free kick for their second but the wall didn't jump. If no draft excluder is employed, it's telling the taker that it's unlikely to do so. Maybe Patto instructs them not to hopefully get a slightly earlier sight of the ball, but from that distance, the wall has to jump. Totally agree about Neil. We slowly took control of the game, allowing him to get forward, but we were struggling to create anything clear-cut until he took charge. After a well-worked third, we realised that the only way they would regain momentum was if we gave it to them by sitting deep. We kept up the high press and continued to look forward. excellent and about time we abandoned we hold what we have approach.
Mayenda is a young ad- a big threat and need the fans support not critisism.....that comes with having a very very young squad- Just look at the improvement from JOBE , Rigg , Patts, Oneien , Hume , Cirkin Ballard to name a few over the last 2 years- the future is bright !!!

I’m in Lanzarote so occasional glimpses on my phone while in company (😵💫) 2-0… ugh….2-1…😳 then nothing until 5.pm. I was visualising seeing2-3… ‘2-3…2-3.. 💭… imagine my delight when I checked my phone!!!

Im in agreement that Mayenda struggles atm, playing out of position BUT I also think Pat Roberts is struggling for confidence. He gets to the byline then no end result. He missed the pen against Sheff Utd and even though he scored against Bristol City he looks low on self belief
Patterson is Massively overrated. Never comes for crosses, never dominates his box and is definitely frightened of getting hurt. He also looks like he’s carrying some timber to me.,
Absolutely buzzing with that and it’s exactly what we need but I feel patto makes far too many mistakes. He doesn’t command his box at all for a start and does his goalkeeper coach not help him with this? Everyone else can see it. I know he’s young and got time to learn but I feel like it’s been going on for a long time now. But anyway great character from the boys to come back and win, Haway the lads ❤️🤍

He should put Isidor on the left and play mayenda as a striker. Isidor is so much better running with the ball than Mayenda.
