Great looking and effective trap mate. I sometimes get mice in the kitchen. So I have 2 covered traps I made myself that I keep set in there permanently.... Just subscribed as well
Thanks for the tip! We had an issue with rats here in early spring. The overpopulation problem this year is a just another side-effect of Covid: not enough garbage generated by restaurants etc., to keep the rats happy, so they have moved into residential areas. We think we finally have things under control, but I imagine it would have gone a lot faster with that handy-dandy gopher trap. We were lucky to find and dispatch a young couple from their labyrinth under our quail pen before they had a chance to reproduce.
My local area has had a problem with rats for a few years now. Been lots of water and food, with very few predators. I have a few more styles of traps that I'll show everyone.
That could certainly happen, but the main problem is the spreading of disease. If you have J feeders, the rats will sit in the feeder and urinate and defecate, speeding all sorts of nasties to your rabbits.

Where did you get that trap? I haven't see one like that before.
The link is in the description. Have seen very similar traps, but not for $20.
Wow that worked pretty slick.
Supposed to be for a gopher, but yeah, for $20, a good investment.
Is the worry over them eating kitlings?

Forgive me for being petty, but baby rabbits are called kittens, not kitlings.
