Lowriders, Classic Cars & Vintage Automobiles were cruising the streets for this Lowriding Car Show and Classic Car Cruise in Downtown Los Angeles, California. There were Lowriders hitting switches; bouncing, cruising in 3 wheel motion, including a gas hopping lowrider g body oldsmobile cutlass! Car enthusiasts and classic car culture fans were enjoying the rolling artwork until the LAPD showed up, bringing the whole police department to shut down the Lowrider Cruise!

I suppose because illegal to block roads and the flow of traffic for your cars to go in circles in the middle of intersections and people standing in the streets. So it's not technically innocent though you want to compare it to other crimes it can look that way certainly but it's still illegal. That's why the majority of real lowrider organizations have them at public parks or rent spots out. Plus with the danger of street take overs that are going on is probably what's in the Police minds so don't hold it against them just understand where everyone is coming from.

I don't think it's the cruising part I believe the cops see us even me partying on the sidewalks walking into traffic to record stopping regular flow of traffic and you know they are CALLN it in to LAPD the Metro is on a schedule when we block them we block ppl from getting to work or getting home from work idk but there's other factors here it's not the Cruising part .maybe Don't drink in public thats not legal n we all know that😢.

Maybe the LAPD and politicians should clear out all those homeless tents blocking all the sidewalks and destroying local businesses. Not to mention all the mentally ill and drug dealers in those areas. The low riders are car enthusiasts doing something positive and constructive. I live in Las Vegas and we love having the low rider community. They are a positive old school tradition to Sin City. Los Angeles has their priorities in the wrong place.

I always wonder if my 64 Impala with lifts is still around and being lovingly cared for by someone who appreciates it. Sold it in 1977 in so Cal. It was lime green with gold metalflake, Tijuana black leather tuck and roll, Cragars and 520s of course.

This video makes clear there is a section of street taken over for a private event so cops had every right to appear. But the city seems to apply the law unevenly by allowing the more dangerous take overs to go on without cops coming in with this kind of force.
