Awesome video. Thank you Sir. I have the exact same issue on knocking noise when turning over any bumpy surfaces on my 2022 RAM Rebel. Now I know what to tell the dealer as they haven't figured it out yet!
I don’t off road, but I still can hear that noise when entering or leaving the driveway at my job site. Uneven pavement surface caused it. I always wondered what the issue is, thanks to your video, I understand it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. No vehicle is perfect, I had a similar issue in my 2012 Raptor, but it only seemed the rear end was doing it, in a certain location.
@@CatchMeOffroad I have a 21’ TRX too. I’d like to get a newer year so that these little things are all just fixed, but it just doesn’t make sense with insane interest rates and vehicle markups for nothing from 21’ to 23’ model years 😢
Anyone know the torque specs? I broke one front bolt. And it looks like I might have to remove the body mount to make it more accessible to get the bolt tail out.
Have a Nov 21 build 2022 trx and it clunks on left side under driver when I go slow over a large and long speed bump. I can’t find a fix. What do you think?
@@CatchMeOffroad doing the pass side 1st , are you not Loosening the bolts on the drivers side ? to help lift the body the inch or two needed to replace the A pillar mount , or not touch the drivers side bolts
@@jeffb5713 the dealer did mine but I think they said it's better do only do one side at a time to prevent the cab from shifting at all. So I wouldn't touch the opposite side at all, use it as a hinge.
I believe the front tow hook and A pillar are 80ftlb, and B/C pillars are 97ftlb. Technically you're supposed to use new bolts also, but I reused mine 👍🏼
@@adamg3911 loosen bolts first then jack up the body. You can use the rock rails or side steps as jack point if you have them. I didn't use loctite but might be a good idea if you have some of the blue stuff
@@CatchMeOffroad My 23 TRX developed a chatter type noise that sounds just like what you showed in the first part of the video during the off-road driving (it's not quite as loud, but it sounds like the same noise). This last week while it was super cold (highs in the low single digits or just below 0) the noise came out of nowhere. I'm always very aware of new noises and such on my vehicles, so I noticed it as soon as it started.

Yes I'm glad they fixed the issue for newer builds as well, just something you have to deal with if you want a first model year of any new vehicle 👍🏼

When I was at the dealership we had a TRX come in for knocking or rattling. I don’t think they ever figured it out. Very well come be this.
Thanks for this… I just got my parts in last week and did the swap yesterday.
Awesome! Was everything in stock? Last I heard, the crown looking pieces were on backorder...
Took a few weeks to get them. I think I ordered about a month ago and they told me the parts were on back order. I just had them leave the order open.
how did you do the swap ? and where did you lift from and did you loosen both sides and lift one side at a time ?
Well here i was upset my truck took 8 mos to come glad a decent amount of issues were sorted like this before it came.
Thanks always..
Thanks for the video. Do you by chance have a part number for the bolts as well?
Sorry I don't, although your dealer should be able to help. Definitely good to use new bolts when swapping mounts 👍🏼
6511825AA. Front body mount bolts! Had to find that one out cuz I broke one!

Is there a service bulletin for this?
I have the front clunk. Jan 22 build… I wonder if there is a way to see if I have the old mounts.
Yes pretty sure you have the old mounts... you could look at your mounts and see if the part numbers are different than the ones I listed.

Check the opposite body mount from the one shown on this video.
my truck has been making a knock sound if i hit a big enough pot hole ands its a january 22 build
parts are ordered , where are you jacking up the frame to replace the A Pillar , at the A pillar ? to get the clearance for Removal and Install
You only jack up the body, not the frame. You can use the same points that body shops use to lift the cab off the frame
@@CatchMeOffroad looking under the frame , not seeing the body lifting points
Videos are showing the pinch welds to lift the body , Got it

I thought you were going to post the part numbers in the description?
Sorry ended up just posting them in the video...if you pause you can read them
Saved me some research hopefully. How many ugga duggas did you hit the bolts with when putting it back together?

Are these issues also on the 23’ year builds?
No it was corrected in the first half of 2022.

What A pillar pod mounts are you using ?
SDHQ mounts with M&R Automotive lights
