idk if you guys remember but HoYo's life long dream as a studio back when Genshin released was to make a new game every few years and take data from all those game up until their dream of making a Virtual World capable of holding billions of players to live in BY 2030.
If Mihoyo wasn't trying to go family friendly like they're 90's nintendo I'd be more interested. I need something to wash the woke out after this last decade of vomit inducing garbage.
So basically, they are pulling the "Call of duty" move that released a new game every single year, lets see how that worked up tbh, because we are talking about a gacha game, where people normally decide to stay loyal on one gacha game.
The way I look at it, even if 3 of them go stillborn like so many old Blizzard cases, they'd still have 1-2 more they can consolidate around and probably reuse their art and concepts.
As good as a starting point Genshin, they have shown their formula is very one note and I think this branching out this quick will ultimately hurt them due to them blowing up so quickly overall. Then again, I could be wrong and people could drinking the Kool-Aid.
So instead of fixing genshin, they actually making another GENSHIN. Ok dude. When they see genshin has already gathered themself to have such reputation they don't even intent to fix it anymore, and just pull the plug with this

Dang, I guess Stix has never watched Owl House or Bluey. I mean, I haven’t either but dang. I used to see content about it all the time, I’m pretty sure Owl House was def more popular with older teens/young adults than it was with kids.
With the amount of money they made, it would be cool if instead of more of the same mobile gacha cash grabs hoyo started investing in some real games, AAA single player, mmos stuff like that.
Not sure why people are surprised - Hoyo did say ages ago that they were wanting to do multiple different games of the different genres to make their “hoyoverse “. Hell it’s why their name changed from Mihiyo
We are already struggling with 3. We don’t need 5 more. Although I am slight interested in the first one as I like urban explorations in games but I better see a character that can skate!
I dont know man Kinda burned out on hoyo games now Still playing hsr and genshin but never touched Zzz And haven't played hi3rd in 2 years I probably wont play any new hoyo games Especially gacha
Imagine a hoyo fighting game to be honest it would sell well so well tbh if they ever made a game like that it has the most potential to be big on the fgc
Yes we get free character however they keep dropping new banners with very limited ways of gaining the currency for those banners and it’s burning a lot of people out
As ZZZ has proven the more games Hoyo spits out? the more they will earn less and less. ZZZ was already a signal that Hoyo probably have already hit their player base limit sure it is massive definitely the biggest player base in the entire gacha genre but adding a few more games will just split their players even further and what's probably going to happen are: Hoyo using UE5 they will probably have some hard time with it after using Unity for the longest time Hoyo's older games like Genshin, HSR and even ZZZ by the time these new games releases will get less and less attention from them, Hoyo is already seeing how UE is massively much better with games like WuWa, NTE and Project Mugen that's why they are now shifting to UE5 Hoyo may use a different game engine but for sure the game mechanics specially the artifact and gacha systems would be the same, we already have 3 games as proof of that and hoyo will just recycle evertyhing again most probably When their new games come out those games would now be the "copy" instead of the "original" imagine NTE, Azur Promilia and Project Mugen, Duet Night Abyss, Unending Dawn etc. being out for 1-2 years by then they lose their lucky charm of being the first to do it. They will need more than ever to heavily rely on their brand name to carry those games. ZZZ was the first sign that they could miss the mark, the next game would probably be the first to start and cause them to miss their marks. Releasing more Hoyo games mean more cannibalism with their profits while their expenses for maintaining, updating, marketing and advertisements keep sky rocketing, not sure if their split revenue from all games would be able to compensate maybe big daddy CCP would step in if Hoyo needs more financing in the future
Unclear why you're getting weird replies but I wanted to say: I agree that the gacha market is super saturated and hoyo is cannabilizing itself to an extent with releasing more gacha. But Hoyo with these extra titles is clearly trying to extend to people outside of the usual gacha market, which may be a really good move for them. I'm curious how it goes.
Why do you care so much about their multi billion dollar company revenues? Are you their shareholder? Tbh as a player i only care about a new good game from any game dev, even from an indie dev
I'll give those a try for sure, but star rail and zzz taught me that no matter the amount of polish is going to make me like a genre Im not interested in.
with all those news I kinda wish Hoyo migrated Genshin into new engine (so game would look more modern + allowed more game features and better combat systems like in WuWa) if they don't plan to expand Genshin IP into new games like they do with Honkai. Unless they plan to finish the current story arc and then put Genshin on life-support/maintenance mode with no new story outside of simple limited events and that's all. No Part2 like with Honkai Impact 3rd, no new continent, etc. Just let it die and make people move to new games not related to Genshin.
Hoyoverse in near future: Oh we also forget to mention that we want to do normal games too (they originally wanted to make normal games and not gachas in fact), so here take a new franchise of souls like, a masseffect like, a Halo Like, a Metal Gear Solid like, a Call of duty like, but in the near future and with made up countries because we don't want to get in trouble with the CCP and a Starcraft II like, we know RTS are kinda dead in the water for now but as non of you never get the Starcraft references in our Honkai Games and we get shit tons of money thanks to Genshin who cares? we can finance Fusion reactors and video games for hundreds of years to come. :V
still no fantasy rpg tactics game. if they released something like that but with honkai star rail's graphic/style instead of the usual chibi or pixel game I'd be down. My last hope for something like that was Archland which went nowhere.
They need to start getting new gacha mechanics tho. The same old 4star 5star, 80pity, 50/50 thing is getting old. When zzz was still in beta the characters all looked so unique and had cool movesets that I thought they all could be 5 stars. So I secretly hoped they would have chip mechanics, where you would pull multiple of a character to level them up to max, which would be like a 5star equivalent. But no, same old same old, the random ass 4 and 5 star treatment, where 4 stars ultimately get forgotten, and god forbid your fave is a 4 star.
Well this is what i was worried about them switching games to UE. Unity is great for running on multiple platforms and it works well for them idk why theyd switch and my potato devices cant run UE. Still excited nonetheless especially that new honkai title more honkai!
I actually think the only reason people play Hoyo game is for the character design. They successfully made people care for their character to the point of fanatisme sometimes. They also are very polished so no « bad experience ». Personally I find them wasting my times more often than not, I won’t play a gacha game without a skip function for exemple. To each their own but the story in these game are 99% fillers and 1% good story telling. I won’t waste hours of my life anymore listening to useless video game dialogs. Not even mentioning the chores they have you go through to have primo. I spend money to get the character that I want and frankly I can’t see myself ever grinding MONTHS for a video character anymore. All of this to say, I want and will play gacha game that respect my times more than anything else
Stix i have more hope on the Nikke devs than Hoyo simple because in every anniversary they have give people a lot of pulls and fix or buff characters more fast

Easier said than done. While we keep forgetting the immense peer pressure that the consumers exude to the community.
I would be more happy if they make AAA games instead of gacha games.😂
I already tired with gacha games so no thank you. Will never pick any gacha games anymore.
Wuwa was my last picked. I will stay with Reverse1999, Path To Nowhere and PGR.
idk if you guys remember but HoYo's life long dream as a studio back when Genshin released was to make a new game every few years and take data from all those game up until their dream of making a Virtual World capable of holding billions of players to live in BY 2030.
If Mihoyo wasn't trying to go family friendly like they're 90's nintendo I'd be more interested. I need something to wash the woke out after this last decade of vomit inducing garbage.
Will be exiting but all does games r probably year's away
At this rate, I'm surprised they don't make an Honkai Racing gacha gams.
So basically, they are pulling the "Call of duty" move that released a new game every single year, lets see how that worked up tbh, because we are talking about a gacha game, where people normally decide to stay loyal on one gacha game.
The only difference is that hoyo isn't as dumb as Activision
Hoyo already got a cult of mindless hoyoshills just like COD, they can keep releasing yearly trash games and still not go bankrupt
Its not even every single year lol
The way I look at it, even if 3 of them go stillborn like so many old Blizzard cases, they'd still have 1-2 more they can consolidate around and probably reuse their art and concepts.
People tend to forgot that hoyo ultimate goal always have been a game like sword art online
As good as a starting point Genshin, they have shown their formula is very one note and I think this branching out this quick will ultimately hurt them due to them blowing up so quickly overall. Then again, I could be wrong and people could drinking the Kool-Aid.
wanna see all of them but I wanted a Tower Defense game, I love the genre and I'm sure they would make an amazing game
what is that game in the background in the first minute?
So instead of fixing genshin, they actually making another GENSHIN. Ok dude. When they see genshin has already gathered themself to have such reputation they don't even intent to fix it anymore, and just pull the plug with this
You should have quit a long time ago
@@mattr.1804I don't understand people riding multi-million dollar companies
@@yazdcraft3846 me either but I don’t see that here. OP doesn’t appear to be riding and I’m definitely not either.
@@mattr.1804 Just waiting for it
Genshin 2
... and here I thought keeping up with just THREE Hoyo games was a lot of work, but EIGHT??
Sleep when I'm dead, I guess.
Why does game number 3 sound like Sims for furries xD
LMAO you're not wrong!
Zzz success seems make mihoyo become bolder. People already say that if zzz is not coming from hoyo, the game wont have as much success than other games. And it's a fact that their power coming from big community that they already build so anything they make... People will trust their money on hoyo. My question is can they stop making gacha games? I hate that they will make animal crossing games that we know wut targer audience they are targeting.
I actually think it's pretty stupid what they're doing and it might make them fall on their face.
it's hilarious that the end cards came in EXTREMELY late
Will look forward to those games from Hoyo, currently playing GI, HSR and WuWa, sadly had to drop ZZZ because it didn't quite get my attention
Hoyo, how bout' you make a "AAA" game.
Gacha gacha gacha, i swear they just cannibalizing their own audience
I have 2 younger brothers; I only play HSR & I think its the best of the 3, the youngest brother only plays ZZZ & the middle brother only plays Genshin & he says it the best of the 3. They meme & call us the Hoyo brothers.
Now ask your mom and dad to make new sibling to play the new games😂
wow! that's a good news!
me suddenly remember the TOF multiplayer... : oh damn...
I hope the mmo have character creator like ToF at least. Mmo with only premade character doesn't really feel like mmo.
This is CRAZY…
If it doesn't have the same amount of love like HSR or HI3 put into it, I ain't touching it.
More hoyoverse games? My wallet is hurting.
so thats where all the money went. Genshin will stay forever flat with no hopes to be something better. such a shame.
I wont play either way the only Hoyo game I play is hsr now and that wont change for the foreseeable future maybe ill try that new Honkai though
Bro if they make a DeadLock game with genshin character i would definately broke my f2p code and go dolphin
If they’re all censored I’m not playing none
the sotry is they are not dominating anything right now... if sensortower is a bible.
We are already struggling with 3. We don’t need 5 more. Although I am slight interested in the first one as I like urban explorations in games but I better see a character that can skate!
i wonder how Da Wei will handle all those games in the future?
As if Genshin, Honkai, and Zenless weren't enough, golly. If any of these new games will be censored, and they will, it won't make me happy
my iphone has already turned into a HoYoPhone 😂
I dont know man
Kinda burned out on hoyo games now
Still playing hsr and genshin but never touched Zzz
And haven't played hi3rd in 2 years
I probably wont play any new hoyo games
Especially gacha
cant believe it were gonna get gta 6 before we get project mugen
Imagine a hoyo fighting game to be honest it would sell well so well tbh if they ever made a game like that it has the most potential to be big on the fgc
I'm loving the collab nekopara on cat fantasy. You get a free character during it... Caocao is the free character. BTW I'm around level 50.
Dang, already? Well done!
@@Stixxy thanks man... i LOVE cat girls 😊
Yes we get free character however they keep dropping new banners with very limited ways of gaining the currency for those banners and it’s burning a lot of people out
As ZZZ has proven the more games Hoyo spits out? the more they will earn less and less. ZZZ was already a signal that Hoyo probably have already hit their player base limit sure it is massive definitely the biggest player base in the entire gacha genre but adding a few more games will just split their players even further and what's probably going to happen are:
Hoyo using UE5 they will probably have some hard time with it after using Unity for the longest time
Hoyo's older games like Genshin, HSR and even ZZZ by the time these new games releases will get less and less attention from them, Hoyo is already seeing how UE is massively much better with games like WuWa, NTE and Project Mugen that's why they are now shifting to UE5
Hoyo may use a different game engine but for sure the game mechanics specially the artifact and gacha systems would be the same, we already have 3 games as proof of that and hoyo will just recycle evertyhing again most probably
When their new games come out those games would now be the "copy" instead of the "original" imagine NTE, Azur Promilia and Project Mugen, Duet Night Abyss, Unending Dawn etc. being out for 1-2 years by then they lose their lucky charm of being the first to do it.
Holy yapping
Unclear why you're getting weird replies but I wanted to say: I agree that the gacha market is super saturated and hoyo is cannabilizing itself to an extent with releasing more gacha. But Hoyo with these extra titles is clearly trying to extend to people outside of the usual gacha market, which may be a really good move for them. I'm curious how it goes.
Why do you care so much about their multi billion dollar company revenues? Are you their shareholder?
Tbh as a player i only care about a new good game from any game dev, even from an indie dev
@Stixxy I think the open world game in UE5 is actually Genshin impact 2 lmao
I'll give those a try for sure, but star rail and zzz taught me that no matter the amount of polish is going to make me like a genre Im not interested in.
Hoyo is really trying to monopolize the gacha space lol.
with all those news I kinda wish Hoyo migrated Genshin into new engine (so game would look more modern + allowed more game features and better combat systems like in WuWa) if they don't plan to expand Genshin IP into new games like they do with Honkai.
Hoyo has gone mad with power 😂
I think they are trying to get into FPS with the American cartoon themed game. Like valorant
If PBR applies to anime character then it would be like GFL2 clothes shader
still no fantasy rpg tactics game. if they released something like that but with honkai star rail's graphic/style instead of the usual chibi or pixel game I'd be down. My last hope for something like that was Archland which went nowhere.
These games sound good, if it wasn't gachas.
they want to dominate every genre later probably maybe to console pc games like wukong ?
0:35 IS FOR ME
Me waiting for MiHoYo to somehow make a souls-like game and a fighting game with gacha elements.
Now all they need is a gacha card game.
Godamnit Dawei. Can we work on your studio as beta testers? My wallet is running dry man.
Stix i have more hope on the Nikke devs than Hoyo simple because in every anniversary they have give people a lot of pulls and fix or buff characters more fast
