If it were up to me Kate Bush would have been at the top of the charts all these years. She is incredible.
This still sounds like the future to me.

Between Her Lyrics and the soundscapes she creates, Cinematic is definitely a good way to describe most of her work.

That was a fun reaction. I'm wondering what other songs of hers you are familiar with -- many of her earlier songs are in the higher register you mentioned, but many of the songs from Hounds of Love and The Sensual World make extensive use of the lower register even if maybe they don't stay there. I'd love to see what you think of any of "Hello Earth", "Love and Anger", "This Woman's Work". For seriously amazing vocal technique, another song to check out is "Trollabundin" by Eivor.

This was my jam back in 85, btw the way she says God is particular too. I love Kate.

I suggest you react to Kate's evil sister, Nina Hagen on Future is now.
She has arguably one of the most interesting display of vocal acrobatics ever put on record and no one has ever reacted to this song.

Oh you are great very well done thanks for reacting to this gem. But.. Thin soft tone?? I don't think so😂😂... You should learn more about Kate Bush cause she is super diverse. I highly recommend Rockets Tail to you. She delivers vocals combined with Trio Bulgarka just powerful and out of the norm.

You are right and I know Kate bush is a very skilled and versatile artist. What I’m saying here is that that her more recognizable sound (based on her hits) is very high pitched, kinda metallic, with lots of head voice, and not low resonance. if you asked people to describe her tone I dare anyone to choose words like: “deep”, “rounded”, “warm”, “big”, “low pitched” etc. The fact that she’s capable of also delivering those type of vocals doesn’t mean that she didn’t get popular to the masses through the use of a certain particular high pitched voice. But literally what I’m highlighting in the video is the actual fact that that’s not just it, and she can do way more. At the end I encourage people to go through her discography and I call her a genius 🙃

@@LetsTalkAboutSinging I highly suggest you listen to the live version of this song from her 2014 "Before The Dawn" performances, to hear how powerful and incredible her voice still is. Her mature voice is a key lower and is rich and soulful, and better than ever (in my opinion)
