the wall position worked for me, took about a week 2 hrs per day. if you can't move the shoulder then you won't move it later.posture and bowing will make you or break you. bowing correctly is 80 percent of the fiddle technique. when you don't have to struggle with the bowing the rest comes much easier and you make faster progress. practice practice practice. then practice some more!! everyday!!

Thanks for all the great videos. I only realised I had a big problem with straight bowing when I recorded myself from above. After experimenting with a few of your suggestions I found the best trick for me was to put a band-aid across the strings and bow on top of it. There is no sound of course, but it definitely helps keep you on track. You could probably make some tracks on the strings with a whiteboard marker too.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been playing for five years and my bow has always tended to slide toward the finger board little by little each pass I make, but now my issue is resolved. Thank you The Online Piano and Violin Tutor

I recently sent away for and received my first violin (Glarry). I started watching your videos , never having played a violin before, and have used your playing techniques. I can honestly say they work and have helped me on my way to learning how to play. This is the only way I can learn how to play without spending tons of money on lessons. Thank you for putting out your videos, they are a God-send. Looking forward to watching more advanced tutorials as I gain more experience. Keep up the good work. Peace, out. :-)

Thanks for very helpful teachings! I started two months ago with violin and work on that! But not easy to get it under control. It takes a while and it is worth to continue to practice it until it works well to lead the bow in right line.

I can't thank you enough for this video!! I was about to spend 15dls + shipping on one of those metallic things... I was kinda blue because my teacher said my violin does not have a bright sound, and that I needed to play very close to the bridge to get a descent sound. But i'm only a beginner and if I do that it sounds horrible! so i'll keep on playing in the middle and use the paper towers to improve. I will do my scalles in the mirror, etc... Yesssss!! thank youuuu!!!
