Hello! Umm what does it mean by beta? Like is this the next season for the actual normal sky game and will these cosmetics actually get into the game 😭

This season seems to be centered around the base game for the theme, which is definitely unique. I'm happy we're getting more shoes at least; the current selection feels lacking.

I can't wait to see sky kids properly cosplaying as their favorite spirits. Because of the simple style of this game, the hair beads remind me of a kid putting Froot Loops in their hair. (edit: I typed this literally right before I heard you say it, haha.)
Idk I like it as it is!!! That way we can cosplay as the season of dreams guide or the days of bloom guide as well!!! Theyre very pretty and I've been wanting more sleeveless outfits ever since I got the white aurora outfit haha
I think the basic designs of the cape are supposed to emulate Sky’s normal capes, a simplicity that added to the charm of sky in the beginning; but I understand why it would be deemed as “plain”:”)
_This!_ This exactly! This season seems to be calling back to the base game. They're adding a new realm instead of a new area branching off an existing realm, the "new" outfit is one that's been in the game for ages and just hasn't been available to players, and all the shoes will go great with the base game outfits. Having capes that each call back to a previous season while sticking to a very simplistic design reminiscent of the base game capes follows that theme!
The problem with them being so basic and plain is that there’s a strong likelihood that we’ll have to pay to be able to get them, so paying 10 dollars for something so plain and simple isn’t really seen as worth it when more interesting options exist

100% agree with you on the capes. They are really similar to past seasonal capes, which kind of ruins the appeal and anticipation of having the originals return as TS 😔 Fingers crossed they are tweaked slightly to make them a bit less dull.
i agree with you! there's really no point to practically replace other capes when usually skykids are hyped about a new season, not something they've already seen before 😔
Unpopular take imma throw out but I honestly miss the simplicity of capes, been playing since little prince and as the seasons progress the capes get more complex and I don't use the new ones as much
@@sunpwince6273 Honestly, I respect that and it's probably not that unpopular ☺️ A lot of players prefer a really clean and polished look which can be really hard to achieve with some of the more recent capes because they are quite detailed and sort of geared towards pre-set outfits (hope you know what I mean) instead of build-your-own. The T2 capes are great, but if you are a player who struggles to get hearts, it's a lengthy process to get them 😬 These capes may be a great option for them ☺️
I actually like the idea of having copy-cat, or ..."knock-off" versions of ultimate cosmetics. So that people who were not able to play the game during the seasons can still obtain a look that is close, without stealing the thunder from the people who were there for the original season. Whether the change is in design complexity or simply a recolor...Either or would be interesting to see.
Good point, but I hope those “knock-offs” would be completely free and not locked behind an adventure pass. There also should be some really cool cape and cosmetics to make this season worthwhile. And not become “season of 2nd-tier knock offs”
I am in love with the gladiator shoes and the cute red bow! The capes... Not so much. I hope they add something to them to give them a little extra flare.
I like the bow, the shoes are cute I guess, maybe if they were white or a more vibrant color they would stand out more. The capes I like the simplicity of because they would match better with more cosmetics, whereas the more colorful or more out there capes are harder to match with other outfits, making them nothing more than a collectible item and not really something I'll wear, at least for me.
@@starstrukc I agree! For example that Kimono looks so plain, especially for a Kimono. I would expect something more vibrant or at least some cool designs on it. Right now it is looking like a basic template. I hope it gets some changes too.
I love that the aviary has its own portal, since it's essentially an upgraded hub area. however, i don't like the fact that its in the middle of the realm gates as we know it... I feel that the view is so iconic as-is, being that it's the first thing we always see as we boot up the game. also having the quest shrine overlap the portal feels awkward to me personally what I would do is move the aviary portal opposite to eden's gate. it gives all the gates collectively a sense of balance, and it'll be out of the way of the base game realms. plus, I think I like the juxtaposition in concept - a place of light, community and safety versus a place of darkness, solitude and danger. overall, that's just my opinion, and it doesn't change the excitement I have for this season
personally, i like how simple the capes are. i always find the more complex looking capes pretty difficult to pair with other items (colors don't match, vibes don't match, sometimes it's too detailed it looks out of place) and so it ends up being a one-time use for me and then forgotten altogether. but these capes, i can imagine goes well with a lot of the basic, non-seasonal items. i can't wait for aviary.
I remember having an idea a bit ago, an surrounding that called "season of memories" where it would be the final "proper season" of sky, or at least the last one before a HUUUGE CHANGE. Since it was the last one it would be an "all stars" season, based on going back to previous seasons and giving a final "final hurrah" to everything that came before. The name: Season of Memories This seems to be what they're gonna build up to considering aviary is being made this may be a transition season.

The shoes look like either geta or zori, geta being made solely out of wood while zori are flatter and made of either wood or straw. Geta are informal while zori are formal.

It almost looks like (and I may very well be reaching with this but whatever) the person wearing the cape was either picked up or attacked by some sort of large bird-like creature, and that the wearer managed to escape but the cape was damaged in the process. I hope they keep the old home space and make the aviary an extension. The old home is quiet and peaceful, good for people who just want the essentials, aviary is colorful and bustling with sky kids, great for players looking to socialize.

Definitely looking forward to that red hair ribbon! And honestly I really like the cape with the tears in it so far, although it would be nice if they add just a bit more to it like some loose sleeves hanging from it or something. I hope they keep that nice bright red interior though.

This is definitely a memento season of sort with how each of the cape are reminiscing some of the oldest season. It would be so cool if each and every single item of this season represents a past season. So far the hair reminded me of Assembly and the outfit is Dream. The claw mark cape is definitely ultimate and represents Aviary itself. Hope this is what's happening 🤞🤞
I quite like your idea of having the capes slightly over-detailed. It would be kind of like they are just exaggerated versions of the originals, a bit like the season of assembly masks are similar to the light seeker ones
I am so late (granted I was in the hospital for a while), I can’t believe I’m just finding out that WE’RE GETTING ANOTHER BLACK HAIRSTYLE!! Afro-Textured hairstyles in this game are few and far between, I am so happy for this 🥹. I love it so much, the accessories are SO cute and very accurate to the amount of beads/slides/clips that children (and some adults) have in their hair. I love the length of it and also like that the hair looks a bit heavy, like some capes do. It really shows that it’s a full head of hair plus the weight of the accessories, black persons would know what I’m talking about.
I am on Beta and appears that the new space will replace the current home space, but I am not 100% sure . Although theres many signs that it will be, like the small return temple in home. All the gates are there and the circle in the mid, I also notice a place for TS, so the new spaces might replace the cosmetic cabinet and made it more interactive like the barbershop for hair.
1:15 they look like zoris, wich are a kind of traditional sandal worn with kimonos, And funny enough zori is my achual name haha Edit: gets shoes are similar to sandals but they have that bar on the bottom!
I think I actually prefer the capes as they are. The older seasonal capes are fancy enough, and these seem like a simpler option for when you don't want to be too ostentatious. It could also be a nice way for players who missed those seasons to get capes that go well with outfits they've bought from traveling spirits without making the originals obsolete.

I don't mind that the capes are plain. I'm happy to see it! Because in almost every promotional material (screenshots, banners, trailers) the Sky kids have such simple outfits and basic, single colored capes. And I love how minimalist the game looks. But when I play, I see everyone wearing the craziest outfits. Don't get me wrong, mixing and matching clothes is fun and my fellow sky kids look good! I just like the simplicity of those promotional materials and part of me wishes the game was this simple as well.
In-keeping with the spirit of classic sky, I would like to see the big tuft of tied back hair that the shopkeeper spirits and child spirits wear. The little cream dollop we have just doesn't cut it. ... I really hope somebody agrees and can pass this on.
The kimono, shoes, locs, and the blue cape are all great. Those other capes are dull. I'd rather stick with some of the clean and classic base game capes.

Yeah, but more people might be using it more than normal home- considering that there are constellations and portals there, but its too early to know.
I am so happy about that, I’ve made so many happy memories in the actual home space. I’ve celebrated birthdays and played so many songs
i wish we had more grey, brown or teal capes... it feels like those colors would increase the possibilities for us to come up with cool outfits

Like a remasterized version of what the capes from those seasons would have looked like if they were released in the recent times
This is definitely a memento season of sort with how each of the cape are reminiscing some of the oldest season. It would be so cool if each and every single item of this season represents a past season. So far the hair reminded me of Assembly and the outfit is Dream. The claw mark cape is definitely ultimate and represents Aviary itself. Hope this is what's happening 🤞🤞

I quite like your idea of having the capes slightly over-detailed. It would be kind of like they are just exaggerated versions of the originals, a bit like the season of assembly masks are similar to the light seeker ones

I am so late (granted I was in the hospital for a while), I can’t believe I’m just finding out that WE’RE GETTING ANOTHER BLACK HAIRSTYLE!! Afro-Textured hairstyles in this game are few and far between, I am so happy for this 🥹. I love it so much, the accessories are SO cute and very accurate to the amount of beads/slides/clips that children (and some adults) have in their hair. I love the length of it and also like that the hair looks a bit heavy, like some capes do. It really shows that it’s a full head of hair plus the weight of the accessories, black persons would know what I’m talking about.

I am on Beta and appears that the new space will replace the current home space, but I am not 100% sure . Although theres many signs that it will be, like the small return temple in home. All the gates are there and the circle in the mid, I also notice a place for TS, so the new spaces might replace the cosmetic cabinet and made it more interactive like the barbershop for hair.
Oh but that blue cape with embroidery on the bottom....the symbols look very similar to the symbols in thater when going to the Office!

I think I actually prefer the capes as they are. The older seasonal capes are fancy enough, and these seem like a simpler option for when you don't want to be too ostentatious. It could also be a nice way for players who missed those seasons to get capes that go well with outfits they've bought from traveling spirits without making the originals obsolete.

I do feel a little sad that most of the capes are pretty eh, but there is still a possibility for them to improve it, I'll hope for that.

i love the clawed cape, the colours feel a little off right now but the idea is really cool, the manta embroidery is awesome

I don't mind that the capes are plain. I'm happy to see it! Because in almost every promotional material (screenshots, banners, trailers) the Sky kids have such simple outfits and basic, single colored capes. And I love how minimalist the game looks. But when I play, I see everyone wearing the craziest outfits. Don't get me wrong, mixing and matching clothes is fun and my fellow sky kids look good! I just like the simplicity of those promotional materials and part of me wishes the game was this simple as well.

In-keeping with the spirit of classic sky, I would like to see the big tuft of tied back hair that the shopkeeper spirits and child spirits wear. The little cream dollop we have just doesn't cut it. ... I really hope somebody agrees and can pass this on.
The kimono, shoes, locs, and the blue cape are all great. Those other capes are dull. I'd rather stick with some of the clean and classic base game capes.
