The last few seconds of the song absolutely broke me. The super bassy piano tone of the guitar with the high end twingly happy sounding birds while the undertones of the song are tragic is such a fucking strange beautiful emotion.
Damn you really unleashed the emotions in this piece. I particularly love the extended atmospheric synth chord at the end. I love that you didn't let it fade out quickly, but instead sustained it for long enough to be truly entranced by it. A song this beautiful and soul-stirring deserves such a transcendent ending. I'm gonna be honest though; when I read "ambient cover" I wasn't expecting the vocals. You sung it well though.

I don't exactly remember the source of the intro drone but it's using multiple reverbs of different character and some convolution experimentation. From 2:06 onwards, it's just my voice with reverbs and for the last verse a synth layer on top of my vocal harmonies
