Does nobody understand the fact that it's not like D.R.U.G.S. made the same song? There are 2 parts to a song in the simplest of aspects, there is the instrumental, and the lyrics/vocals. Not long after recording Thermacare, Chiodos for some reason split with Craig, Craig legally took the lyrics to Thermacare and made new music for it creating The Only Thing You Talk About by D.R.U.G.S. and Chiodos took the instrumental and made Stratovolcano Mouth. They're different songs is my point.
I really think this could have launched Chiodos so far with their career. Too much momentum and time was lost with Craig's departure and return. It's a shame. I really wish we could have seen how things would have been had things stayed consistent.

He said fuck it, and made his own band with a tongue in cheek name of "Destroy Rebuiold Until God Shows" or DRUGS as a shot at Chiodos. This song was under production at the time of the falling out, so there was this version, pre-chiodos breakup, strato-volcano mouth by chiodos, and the only thing you talk about by DRUGS because they couldn't agree who got the song. It became a bit of a competition between the two bands, Craig set out to prove he was the driving force behind Chiodos success. DRUGS 1 and only album was very well reviewed and sold like crazy, Chiodos album however was less successful. Having proven his point, Chiodos asked Craig to come back and DRUGS was ended. I just love that story so much.

The Only Thing You Talk About with DRUGS do I consider to be a little better than this version. and the title is better too than Thermacare. I will miss DRUGS. Alot. I hope he someday will work on that again. But for now, I'm really excited to hear the new stuff with Chiodos :) I think it's gonne be awesome.

I keep comparing this to the DRUGS song and I can't really hear much of a difference. Maybe it's because i'm not terribly familiar with either version though...
This version has a higher pitch to Craig's vocals and you can hear the synthesizer being played heavily in the background by Bradley Bell with harder guitar chugging by the guitarists. This was just a demo but Craig pretty much brought his version to D.R.U.G.S. with the same lyrics and on the 3rd Chiodos album with Brandon Bolmer they kept the instrumentals but rewrote the song as Stratovolcano Mouth. They both go pretty hard but I noticed the D.R.U.G.S. version has heavier guitars and sounds more complete and the Chiodos version has better screams and synths. I had the pleasure of seeing both bands play this song live and it was so awesome in concert.
