FDC Criticizes EC Over Lack of Digital Voter Registration
The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has criticized the National Electoral Commission (EC) for its failure to implement a digital registration system for updating the national voters' register. This comes as the EC officially commenced the voter registration and update exercise today, which is set to run until February 10, 2025, in preparation for the 2026 general elections.FDC's National Youth League Chairman, Francis Adepo, expressed concern that the absence of digital registration could disenfranchise many Ugandans, particularly those in rural areas with limited access to registration points.
