  • This video shows how to produce cells in epoxy resin. The three methods I use are easy and simple to do and always produce results for me. I love the delicate cells that are produced in the first two methods, and the more dramatic cells in the third method. I can not claim to have invented or discovered these methods, as there are many people who use these approaches (if I could remember who taught me this I would say so here). This video is intended to show how easy it is do them, step by step.
I hope you enjoy this video, and find it useful.

Although I often talk about health and safety in my videos, please make sure you do your own research and take the relevant precautions to ensure that you are protecting your health. I am not responsible for anyone using resin and not taking the correct safety precautions. Resin is a chemical and as such should be always treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken.

I'd love to see what would happen if you did it the 3rd way but with just flicking the alcohol onto the paint with fingers & even tapping paint brushes with the alcohol on above the painting. Hope that makes sense? Brill work as usual Steve. I've been binge watching your videos this evening/tonight to keep me occupied. Thank you, as always x

Very interesting. I think I like the first version just using heat the best. Is white required to get cells and lacing?
