@@bmcagent It's a chef response, rather than a father response. The food was made with certain taste in mind and to get that taste all the variables need to be close to perfect. You can see this a lot in high-end restaurants, food is made with a correct way to eat and the servers will tell you the exact way to eat it in order to maximize the taste -- the chef's vision of the taste, at least. I think it's a habit chefs pick up when they're really deep and finally understand that they're truly good at what they do and there's nothing wrong with that. It's their dish, they've spent a lot of time and effort to be able to create such a dish and I think that deserves the respect of eating it how it was made to be eaten.

Haha well its like any celebrity, right? They may be gods to the world, but half the time their own kids are meh about it. xD So I imagine it must be similar.

I'm actually getting interested in cooking lately, Susur is an amazing chef and I love watching him cook, he is a very funny guy and an amazing dad to his family. Love you Jet, Kai, Susur, Levi, Brenda, you guys are amazing, Thankyou? 🥰🥰
I'm so fucking jealous man.. I've always wanted to eat his food. It's also super surreal to me because I was a kid watching him on Iron Chef and now he's just a simple dad on TH-cam doing cooking stuff. Its awesome and I love it
It's turning to be more and more lovely to watch each longer video. There is something different when watch people who are passionate about making astonishing food, not just making it for the show.
Chef really knows his mangoes. Carabao mangoes from the Philippines, most notably those from Guimaras Island are in the Guinness book of world records for being the sweetest mango in the world and they are also the kind served in the White House. As my grandmother was from that island, I have been spoiled on it since I was a child, thanks for the appreciation, chef!
There was a cooking show on BBC called ready steady cook. People would bring random things and the chefs would have to come up with a meal. Loved that show. This reminds me of that. Love your dad's ideas he's so sweet as well
I love this series! Seriously considering trying this dish out. Thank you Dad for being the dad of many here. I love the chemistry and sincere love you have with your Sons.
I love these videos because its just some nice father/son bonding and your dad is amazing at cooking with a great sense of humour that just makes these videos so entertaining. You never expect what he is going to make but it looks good!
It's crazy that he's such a cool dad and speaks English well enough and suddenly he mutters in Canto and I was SHOCKED. Definitely felt the Hong Kong vibes come out in this video!
Wow! That sauce looks delicious! I love the balance of the entire dish with the chilis too! Thanks for the technique lesson too chef. I’ll have to try deboning wings like that. I’m imagining all kinds of stuffings.
I love watching these videos. I was raised up eating squirrel, rabbit, ground hog, wild venison, and wild caught fish. My grandfather was raised during the great depression and they had to eat wild meat for survival. He passed this knowledge of hunting to survive to his family. My father was a very avid believer of living off the land. Wild game is much better for you than most store bought meat. I am from Tennessee.
I love your dad, he is amazing and I enjoy him in your videos, all of you guys are amazing, I watch your guys videos everyday. Your family is amazing in everyway. Love you Guys!!!❤
Hilarious! Laughed out loud when Dad said "poor chicken... he can't even stand up" on its deboned wings!!! Never been privileged to see a chicken stand on its wings. Used to work p/t on a chicken farm as a kid, but we didn't have any acrobatic chickens! I love it!🤣
Actually it really isn't. Now, don't get me wrong, Chef Susur is an amazing cook, but this combo is a match made in heaven and it's actually a bit more common and reasonable than you think. Mango and chicken is a very normal combination in some parts of the world, and in Asian cuisine things like chicken satay and other dishes incorporate peanuts with chicken. Then mango and peanuts is also a frequent combo if you look up recipes, so it stands to reason all of these ingredients go together.
@@darkstudios001This is not the case with that, really. All ingredients pair really well with eachother. I know what you are talking about, but it's genuinely not the case with mango, peanuts and chicken. I have a culinary degree, I hate saying this, but just trust me on this one and try it out.
once your channel has blown up enough you gotta make like a mini documentary about growing up with your dad. I know you often speak about your childhood and food in a lot of videos but I'd love to see one just long cut video talking about japan, america, etc
I watch a lot of cooking shows and even watched your dad growing up with my mom when I’d watch iron chef with her and your dad is a genius. You are so lucky. Wish I knew 5% of what he knows about food and cooking…
When I was a kid, for lunch my dad would make me a PB&J with some juice or milk...I wonder what kind of lunches he made for his boys when they were little.....
A childhood friends stepdad was a cook. We asked him if we could have a snack one day while playing. He came back with super smooth well seasoned mashed potatoes with a perfectly sauteed single shrimp on top in two small bowls. Even as a kid I was blown away. So probably something like that I guess.
I have boned and stuffed wings many times, I love to use pork and prawns with wood ear mushrooms and some glass noodles, lots of Asian seasonings. Roast really hot. They are the BOMB.
I love how the dad stares him down while he's eating and says "MOAR SAUCE"
I love how he wants his son to get the perfect bite!
