I’m an 80 year old Christian woman who voted for trump twice and will again. I also think Vivek would be an excellent VP pick!
I’m also Christian, and I’m wondering what it is about trump that you think makes him a good candidate for President because when I look at my Word of God, I see most all of his actions as evil. I’m not being fresh I’m just curious of I’m missing something you see

Raise the voting age to 28. Hopefully some life experience will teach them some of what they should have learned in school. Then again, we know some people NEVER learn.
@@Linda-sk9hl They do teach government but not civics (I was in the modern system), the latter of which is more important. And they don't teach enough government either. Consequences of teaching down to the lowest common denominator. Voting age doesn't matter. Some people never learn like you said. Ok. Do what Vivek advocates for. Can't pass a civics test, can't vote. This age thing makes no sense to me- it's not a meritocratic standard. A civics test is. We can smoke at 18, drink at 21, own a car at 16, this stuff makes no sense. Age of Majority=zero restrictions. Standardize it. Either you are an adult at age 16, 18, or 21. Maybe if you can't run for congress yet you can't vote. Do it state by state. Hell, the founders had a good idea with the whole property ownership thing because skin in the game is the most important asset for society to determine if you are the one to serve it or not.

I'm a 47 year old man from California . The thing about Vivek Ramaswamy is he reiterates everything that Trump gets right. If you actually take the time to listen he also gets right everything Trump got wrong . I would've voted for Vivek Ramaswamy had he still been in the race . Trump picking Ramaswamy as his VP is the smartest thing he could do for both of them and for the rest of the country. Looks like Gen Z got this one right.

The politicians these days are attracted for it for the wrong reasons. Some do have altruistic goals but at least half of them- they just see it as a fast track to getting rich off of insider knowledge. That's why everything is falling apart. It attracts elitist malignant narcissists who have weird power obsessions and monetary obsessions and aren't doing it for their community they come from. A lot of them lie through their teeth- both democrats and republicans alike.
So, where do these people come from? That's the real question. Who taught the youth? Which communities did the youth come from? Who raised them?
The lack of introspection here shows the decadent mind at play. Decadence is a poison pill for any society. That's the main issue here. We were born with a minefield of distractions, the youth, but who could have controlled that minefield?

There is no lack of "inteospection." Quite the opposite. We "oldsters" realize we dropped the ball in many respects, but, just as these youngsters, we were ourselves ignorant of life. Wisdom takes time.
@asmith8567 the average age of congress disagrees with you on this. Realizing you dropped the ball is only the start of introspection. The first step to admitting a problem is admitting its there. Introspection terrifies most people. I had to go through that during Covid. The level of mood swings and emotional outbursts were horrifying in retrospect, but I came out a better person and with a clear philosophy as to how I want to live my life, and how I want to raise my future kids.

Just like Kari Lake, Vivek is not knowledgeable enough of the operations of POTUS. We need someone who has been involved in many facets through what our country has been. Gen Flynn, even Mike Pompeo has that knowledge and not only understand the world as a whole but the protocols required.

Voting age should be 35. I didn't vote until then because I didn't know enough to do so. when I was young I thought we were an honest county. Then I started seeing we had faults. Then Trump exposed everything. EVERYTHING even what our youth has been being tought by the people we entrustend them with.
You can serve in the House at 25 and Senate at 30. The age is 18, the age the government can force you to serve in the draft and die for the country. and is as enshrined in the constitution as your "right to bear arms".
"The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age" Amendment 26.
I'm going to warn you: if you try and change the voting age because you can't win on policy, you will never win an election after that. Those younger voters, the instant they hit 35, will remember who it was that took away their rights and vote you into the landfill of history.

Vivek would be great. If not, Tulsi would be good. Both anti-establishment and not beholden to toxic party interests from either side. Vivek has called out squishy Republicans and Tulsi is an independent, so she has some freedom of what she can express. She's had a genuine change of heart from her days as a Democrat. The VP needs to be somebody from a younger generation. There's a significant chance Biden or Trump would die in office if they get re-elected due to age and health issues. A younger VP whose aligned with Trump on key issues wouldn't pose the same health risks and will give the MAGA movement an immediate successor.

@egb6322 Uh just looking at Trump's obesity and Biden's dementia. Obesity killed an uncle of mine two weeks ago. It can happen very fast and very suddenly. Dementia takes some time but the number of years or months it can take is quite random. I can look at the obvious or invite cognitive dissonance in my head. I choose the former.
Plus I never actually said they'd die. I said there's a significant non-zero chance that has to be factored though as well.

The IA primary proved that evangelical voters overwhelming believe and trust Trump the most, as evidenced by him beating DeSantis (Catholic) & Haley (Methodist) who were not received as well there. So Juan Pablo is correct this cycle is a bit different as Trump has proven himself with his actions on how conservative he will govern, and it was way more conservative than when we originally thought way back in the 2016 primaries. So Vivek definitely the best pairing for Trump in order to reach Gen Z & Y as well as the black and minority vote.
