I live vicariously on your videos (I am 77 and in California- a bad combination during these times- I have been grounded by my family) and especially appreciate your rearranging items that have been separated on the shelves, rescuing items to close to the edge and teaching my eyes to see things I might have missed. You have been feeding my soul during this time and I thank you, ja
That green mixing bowl you found.. Oh my the memories! My mama had one exactly like it when I was little. I can seriously taste the chocolate cake mix she'd let us scrape off the sides of the bowl .Almost made me cry it brought back.such sweet memories! 💓❤💟💖💕💞💗
The glass fish so reminded me of the shops at the mall in the 1980's that were full of mirrors and glass menagerie things. You know, right between Spencer Gifts and the record store.
The cow with the holes is part of a Tilso set. The salt & pepper shakers are small fruit filled baskets that have hooks that hang in the holes and the hooks on the cows sides hold oil & vinegar fruit filled basket shaped containers. It's a cute set but it would be hard to find all the parts.
🦋I need the wrought iron giraffe....not really. Everything I see at this shop I want because they have such nice things. Finders Keepers, is my favorite shop you go thrifting. Such a unique place to find such a diverse collection. Just love it.
Omg. That little beaded purse. I bought one exactly the same bead and pattern but it was flawlessly beaded on the inside and had beaded handles, as well.
I will never have enough cedar chests. Every bedrooms needs one. Dining room needs linens , napkins and silverware chest. Cedar chest for living room coffee table. One for sewing and another for arts & crafts projects. Ones for walking in closets. One for library and office combo. My hubby loves chests , too!
@@dianaflegal4495 LOL , love for wooden chests for organization runs in our family. Our son has collection of smaller wooden chests on wall shelves to organize his vintage smaller pieces that he has received from family and friends. We do give many things to family in need like when their home burns down. Also , we do use every thing that we keep during different seasons a year to change decoration. We do also love quilts that fits different seasons.
Those old magazine racks for in the home are getting a new use now with so many working from home. My niece uses a vintage metal one in her home for her work files. She is working from home and any files she needs that week are in that magazine holder for her Zoom meetings.
The fish is gorgeous! High quality, great detail and clarity. At first glance it looked like Steuben, but the abundance of detail and lack of a signature is a giveaway that it's not. Good for you for following your gut, Jocelyn....if you love it and can afford it, enjoy it.
Oh my gosh, the pinecone candle holder/vase at 5:27 was made in my home town, Custer SD!!!! Tourist town close to Mt Rushmore!! So cool to see it so far from home! Known as Black Hills Pottery
Fused glass artist here. The blue trinket dish is cast glass. It is made from a commercial mold so perhaps not that pricey. Anything made with an artist-created mold is much more labor intensive...which is not to take anything away from that artists work. Been enjoying your adventures.
Love when you shop at Finders Keepers....Wish we had 1 where I live in Ontario Canada...I have to thrift through you right now as we are in lockdown ....thanks for taking us along!🥰
I’m in Sudbury Ontario and I’m doing the same kind of thrifting...on TH-cam with the crazy lamp lady. Good to know I’m not alone in this new way of thrifting for me during lock down 😜
I collect the Wade Irish pottery but I prefer the unpainted things. I don’t have a small mug yet but I do have the Stein and a smattering of other pieces🍀 Fun things at that place though♥️♥️♥️
Oh please, next time you are back at the store, I will purchase the Abigail Adams ceiling lamp! My hallway NEEDS this! I will gladly pay your $50 and shipping! PLEASE!!!!!
Jocelyn, here in South Louisiana we have misquotes just that big and they actually bite too lol!... so yeah, l know l wouldn’t want a metal one that size in my house either!
That big metal bug sure looks like a mosquito to me. It is not a cricket. Love the glass fish. It is gorgeous. I hope one day to see you at the Cross Keys Finders Keepers. I live a few miles north of there.
I finally purchased a cedar chest a year ago from the Goodwill with it's original paperwork in MINT condition for $14.99!!! When my son picked it up the next day, the Asst Mgr told him it should have never been marked that low of a price... So glad she was off that day. WOW I did not realize those cranes sell for that. I have 2 about 4' tall that are a greenish color I got for free in 1998... I love how you can look at something and know what it is!!! I can't explain it but when I found my Fire and Light, I knew the minute I saw it in the cart and so glad I stopped the employee an asked to grab it!!!
The Irish ashtray and mugs are Wade. I collect it. Very collectible. There is usually a Wade Fest in Harrisburg every July, at least before Corona Virus.
Interesting to see a cedar chest with what looked like the lock still intact. A lot of them were removed after the Lane chest recall in 1996. Have to be careful they dont autolock if you have younger children.
That FISH at the end! OMG. I have a large horizontal Czechoslovakian art glass fish. It was my grandma's from when my grandparents went to Europe in the 1980's. I'm still on the fence about selling it. It would be a BEAST to ship. Maybe I'll find someone in Cleveland to locally buy.
The glass fish is awesome! Loved the iron giraffe, it was great. I have metal bugs like the mosquito you showed in my gardens, I love them bought them in Mexico, best of all they’re fake😄👍
I just discovered you about a week ago and I've been bingeing on your videos! You are a fountain of knowledge on the glassware! and your camera work is awesome. I had a dual knee replacement 3 weeks ago and I have been going stir crazy until I found your TH-cam thanks for keeping me sane. Looking forward to all of your videos!
How are you feeling with your knee replacements? I found her when I was recuperating from my one knee replacement. Good luck with your physical therapy.
@@LAK97 I'm doing okay. Just been the most excruciating and painful thing ever. If I'd done one I'd never do the other one, lol. I hate the physical therapy too! Ugh. My friends think I was brave! First week home, I cried every day but I'm keeping my eyes on a great spring. Hope your knee is doing well for you. Thanks for asking. Kim
You need to buy paperweights that are signed. Looks like you passed up a good one and got one not worth very much. They should be polished on the bottom. Caithness makes beautiful ones.
I love when people start their comment with "you need to" What she NEEDS is for people to mind their business, and let her mind hers. She's making a killing doing what she does, so she's obviously proven she knows what she NEEDS to do. She buys those for her son, who collects them. They're not resold. So she buys what she wants.
I don't have problems with the shakiness. Didn't even notice til you said something. I do have some troubles when you pan to fast. I still love you videos. I'm learning a lot from you!!
I agree, and not getting to see the price was killing me. That is the frustrating part of this sort of video, I can't just snatch stuff up myself! *haha* :D
I'd have boought that mozzie and it would have lived in my garden. Many of my plants have little animals in them. Mostly green tree frog figurines. I am in Australia and they are native gorgeous frogs.
At work I walked passed a little yellow bird salt or pepper shaker. Only one though. It had a small chip on the beak but it was cute. Couldn't get it because of being on the clock. Was on my way back up front from going to the bathroom and it caught my eye.
As a buyer past, now and future, shipping l know about as a former Shipper around the States and international. Saying too heavy too ship. So please take a chance once in awhile you need to know people will pay shipping.
I don’t think the fish vase are from Sweden, Skansen glasbruk did a similar but the tail and the base aren’t the same as this one. It could be from Murano.
trust your instincts they are really good, and you got the brass cranes because they are beautiful, not just because they are brass, much love, many hugs
Other glass makers you should keep an eye out for are Costa Boda from Sweden, Orrfore from Sweden and Holmegaard from Denmark they make amazing pieces.

Yes! The Moosequitoe.
I’m an entomologist. Insect decor - giant metal mosquito! - totally my jam. 😆
I thought it could be a dragonfly!!
I love insect decor. I have a giant praying mantis outdoors and a giant beetle and a giant caterpillar indoors. 😁
That pile of plates made me nervous too. Thank you for moving it!

Hey Jocelyn, I see the "toad" at 4:50. At the angle you filmed it, you can see the eyes.
Jocelyn, I have never noticed your camera to be shakey and I watch all your videos! Dont worry about it at all because you are amazing!!
Only thing better than morning coffee with Jocelyn is coffee with Curiosity Inc. 👏👏👏
I think Bad Burro glass is by glass artist Nancy Poulson Fox from Washington State.
I have that little cow with the holes. The S&P are on hooks that fit in the holes.
You have such a gentle touch with the glassware!
Fish vase is stunning! And yes on that paperweight, super items.

I was going to say the same. I too live in Louisiana where the mosquitos will carry you away!
I purchased several of the "outen the light" covers at Roadside America in Shartlesville, PA, several years back. My sister has them in her kitchen.
My Grandmother used to tell us to "outen der light"!
