The problem is that he's not actually speaking on the word of God, which says "The authorities that exist have been established by God" (Rom. 13:1). If the authorities have been established by God, then we've been handed over to the spirit we've chosen, which resides in them. Dr. Young should be explaining that fact rather than getting caught up in political rhetoric so that people understand that they need to return to God and He will restore them and place good rulers over them. The left being bad doesn't make the right good. God is sovereign and He contends with us regarding the spirit we've chosen by sending calamity (2 Chron. 7) and punishment for disobedience (Lev. 26) or blessing for obedience (Lev. 26). Political rhetoric is of the world. God's people are supposed to know better.

This is where the phrase “separation of church and state originated…
Thomas Jefferson's Letter to the Danbury Baptists
    The Final Letter, as Sent
To messers. Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut.
    “Gentlemen
The affectionate sentiments of esteem and approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist association, give me the highest satisfaction. my duties dictate a faithful and zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, & in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more and more pleasing.
“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.
“I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection & blessing of the common father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves & your religious association, assurances of my high respect & esteem.
    Th Jefferson

What does this mean? The government is not to be involved in legislating religious thought or speech. The government’s only role is to ensure that no religious action, such as mandatory church attendance, membership or religious fasting, be imposed upon the people as the rule of civil law. It does NOT require religious people, be they pastors or laymen, to abandon their opinions at the alter or in the pulpit. Quite the opposite, in fact. It guarantees they have the right to speak their opinions from such places.

Pastor Ed Young: "judge not least you be judged". You've open your house of worship to a visit by IRS and the State of Texas. It may be a 501-3C violation. Your congregation can think, politically, for themselves. We all get overwhelmed by the criminality going on, 24/7, in our communites, but the word of God is the best weapon against abomination. As a citizen you have every right to rail against lawlessness. Just do your political speech outside of your ministry and don't comingle the two. I hear, and will continue to hear you preach. No harm done!

I whole heartedly agree, that Pastor Young is telling the truth, but the pharisees tried bridging the cassum between the word of God and politics and all they produced was religion. The faith of autocrats. Stick to God's word and stop trying to fight Satan. God made evil and the devil but he gave us free will. Getting out and preaching to sinners is not the job of a politician and propagandizing the public with pseudo promises is the job of a preacher. By the way, Jesus Christ is the church, a house of worship is where we amass on one accord in his name.

"...after some accuse him of mixing church and politics during sermon"
You mean after he blatantly and intentionally mixed politics into his sermon. He's been highly political for years now and saying things like "Houston, in all probability , right now is the most dangerous city in America" is not only not true, it's extremely dangerous. Notice how careful he was with his words there...he actually said "in all probability" twice (once in this clip and then he went on to say "in all probability, Houston is one of the two or three most dangerous cities in the world to live in," which should tell you right there he doesn't actually know...or he does know, and he's lying), but that didn't stop him from loosely and irresponsibly implying that Houston is "more dangerous" than places like Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis, etc. In fact, the 10 most dangerous cities in America in terms of violent crime per capita are:
    1) Bessemer, Alabama
    2) East St. Louis, Illinois
    3) Monroe, Louisiana
    4) St. Louis, Missouri
    5) Detroit, Michigan
    6) Baltimore, Maryland
    7) Memphis, Tennessee
    8) Camden, New Jersey
    9) Flint, Michigan
    10) Pine Bluff, Arkansas
Houston is ranked #53. Other notable cities in the top 100 are:
    13) Kansas City
    15) Little Rock
    19) Milwaukee
    20) Myrtle Beach
    22) Cleveland
    25) Albuquerque
    27) Indianapolis
    30) Oakland
    39) Charleston, WV
    41) Anchorage, AK
    42) Compton, CA
    45) Nashville
    52) New Orleans
    56) Minneapolis
    57) Chicago
    63) Chattanooga
    67) Tulsa
    68) Baton Rouge
    72) Buffalo
    73) Washington D.C.
    79) Atlanta
    80) Shreveport
    81) Miami Beach
    83) Cincinnati
    86) Philadelphia
Now, look at all the responses on here saying "we need all pastors preaching like this...I noticed nobody refuted the facts Dr. Young put out there...the pastor was just telling the truth...he speaks the truth...the Democrat party is 'crying foul' proves the pastor was right...if your pastor isn't preaching this kind of truth, you're in the wrong church...etc., etc., etc."
I don't know what's scarier..."Dr." Young bringing politics into his sermons or his audience believing his misinformation without taking the few minutes it would take to research what he's selling.

Pastor Ed Young is a senile old man who wouldn't know the "BIBLICAL TRUTH" IF IT BIT HIM IN THE REAR-END!!!! CHURCH AND STATE MUST REMAIN SEPARATE. If Ed Young (who supports THE APARTHEID, ETHNIC CLEANSING, ROGUE, TERRORIST STATE OF ISRAEL UNCONDITIONALLY) wants to PREACH his political agenda including "WHO TO VOTE FOR" from the Church pulpit (which he has done multiple times); it's time for the Internal Revenue Service to 'VOID" Second Baptist Church's Property Tax Exemption Certification!!!! In 1954, Congress approved an amendment by Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson to prohibit 501(c)(3) organizations, which includes charities and churches, from engaging in political influence activity or political statements of support for foreign government agents. To the extent Congress has revisited the ban over the years, it has in fact strengthened the ban.
