I'm not a drummer myself, but do consider myself a professional finger and teeth drummer. I've also been listening to this song for 500 years and know it like the back of my hand, so it's kind of refreshing to see it broken down like this to see how difficult it actually is. Kudos!

Do u swing ur jaw from side to side to click ur back teeth?

Yooo, another teeth drummer lmao. I also utilize breathing through my nose to emulate a cymbal sound, as well as this strange technique with my ears that I can't even really explain, but it creates a sound similar to that of a kick. Got a full kit just sitting in my head lol.
Of course, I only do this when im just idling around during the day. I'll actually hop behind my kit when I get the chance.

That Jay does polyrhythms in 4/4 to make it not sound like 4/4….brilliant!

    Jay,
As much as I love these lessons and tutorials, all I want from you is a snare drum tuning tutorial. Head selection, drum material, pitch, top head/bottom head relationship, how you handle your wires, damping, all that. The way your snare sounds in that Meinl clip is fackeng MENTAL and I need to know how to recreate it. My toms always sound great, but my snare always lands dead in the middle of "sounding like shit" vs. "sounding like I put some time into it, but it still doesn't sound like Jay Postones"

That’s something I plan to do when I’m behind my acoustic kit soon 👍🏻👍🏻

I didn't know Dr. Green play the drums on this level!:0

I find it easier just to watch people play it or just here it other than going deeply into the measures or meters.

So do I. You can skip straight to the exercises on my website if that's your preferred way of learning and bypass my mouth noises.

can you get amos to make a video for The Impossible Part 3? I've been wanting to learn that song for years

He's probably not going to do that. You could try asking him but I don't think making video lessons is his cup of tea.
