Todd should go watch that YT channel that really breaks down how Belichick rolled out some 5 and 6 man fronts to negate all of the stretch zone/play-action bootlegs off of the stretch zone, the o line was outflanked on every play and Gurly couldn't bounce it outside or find a cutback lane all game and the o line couldn't cut block all of the defenders on the backside. I think Belichick started thinking about the game plan back in 2005 after Mike Shanahan smoked the Patriots with Jake "the snake" Plummer in the 2005 AFC Championship game running basically the same offense as McVay's Rams. Gurly is talking about the coaches not making halftime adjustments but he doesn't realize that Belichick had been making a plan to stop him since he was in Kindergarten.
There are hella revionist history going on with those that never watched early brady seasons. Only 2001 can borderline be called a game manager. The 2003 and 2004 team brady was elite. Just go watch 3 games to glory of 2003 superbowl and both sides players are already talking about that brady as THAT DUDE. There were so many clutch wins in that 2003 season ex Miami game.
Revisionist history to ignore the blatant calls for the patriots and cheating scandals
See people will watch a game where the score is 52-48 and really believe they just watched a great football game. You just watched a bunch of awful defense and guys running around with nobody tackling them it’s really gross
People like their idea of football more than they like football
You’ll love Matty p on games with names. This pats win was the most comfortable I’ve ever felt during a pats Super Bowl. It was a blessing
Best SB I've watched was NE vs SEA. Offenses and defenses were poppin off all game. That 4th quarter from Brady also kind of solidified goat status for me... he hit almost every pass for like 120 yards and 2 TDs against LOB.
flag football. U can thank Manning & the 03' colts for that. Couldn't beat Belicheck's defense in the snow so they changed what pass interference is. Pi has favored offense and been controversial ever since
@David-mt7tj i agree, best superbowl of 21st century is the 49. 51 was cool as a pats fan but 49 had more violence/competition
People don't hate defense, the problem is when it comes to defensive games it's 3&out and a 5 min commercial break over and over again and we don't want to watch 2 hours of ads.
Aka you hate defense
@@corysimpson7531 No I don’t, I hate commercials. Did you even read my comment or are you just incapable of understanding written English?
@ I’m just trollin you bro have a good day 😂
@skinfluithero4885 it's the game of commercials and ads with some football sprinkled in🤣
@@corysimpson7531wrong! The eagles vs bears “double doink” wild card was a defensive game but it was exciting unlike the superbowl 53
Jason McCourty sure saved the day for the Pats by stopping Brandon Cooks from completing that catch in the end zone. Defense was cooking, and the offense line did a great job of controlling Sam Donald.
don't forget dpoy Gilmore with the int as well!
@EuroGuy85 , that was a great interception meant for Cooks. Another critical defensive play.
I totally understand Todd misremembering parts of that game. A team I work with in another sport lost the Natty last year. I will never rewatch it and hope to forget it one day
Todd Gurley is 30 years old. Now. Let that sink in.
I liked the gane because defense was actually played. People who said itbwas boring don't like old school football
Bruh I been watchin football for 40 years nobody wanna see a low scoring game they wanna see enough defense not a defensive shutout
That Rams team was buns. Totally wet the bed like a bunch of weaklings. Belichick put on a masterclass 🙌🏾
One game where ryan allen the punter could have won mvp 😂
Field position matters❤. GO PATS
I wish (as I'm sure Gurley does) that injuries hadn't sidelined him. I don't think anyone would have argued if he won MVP in 2017
I remember that Patriots were shot after that Chiefs game-they were running on empty. Honestly, they had no business playing in the SB. It's probably the most impressive run by Brady. that AFCC game was Brady's greatest herculian performance in my book.
no business? They had the best QB, best o-line, and 2 headcoaches on defense. 18' pats were the most complete team of Brady's run.
@@fourscore1964 2 headcoaches that only got there opportunity because of bradys success
@fourscore1964 nah. 03's Super Bowl team was bradys most complete team. Especially on defense and special teams.
@MrB1gPants Defense was slightly better but not much, 18 held a record breaking offense to 3 points. 03 let Delomme put up 29. Ntm Brady was exponentially better than he was in 03' on top of having a better offense to work with. 18 is a way better team. 04' is better than 03'
@eraseplays2501 you dont even know who im talking about. Belicheck and Flores. Belicheck drafted Brady. Flores got his opportunity because of his defense, nothing to do with Brady, he proved it had nothing to do with pats this past year with the Vikings
I didn’t know he played in the Super Bowl!
EXACTLY! I think he had maybe three snaps?!? Hell, I don't even remember when he retired?!? One of the most bizarre career drop off/Irish goodbyes ever! He literally just disappeared!
He was a fantastic running back!!
real reaction tbh
Can someone post a clip of Brady playing defense against the rams?
Rams cheating to go kick a field goal in the Super Bowl will bother me forever
They kept it vertical. It messed up Gulf.😊
Rams were not the same offense without Kupp from earlier in the season.
Shout out to TG for winning me my 2018 FF Championship.
Yes, Tom Brady's magical 13-spot and not Bill Belichick's 3 points allowed... Ahhhh, the usual logic here in NE!
Belichek was playing!?? How many sacks did he get?😂
@@MrB1gPantsdoes a ship have a captain? And he does nothin in the ship right?
@logan4999 depends on the ship. Some just about sail themselves. Belichek deserves a lot of credit, but he himself said, "Players play the game and coaches, coach"
@@MrB1gPants Belichick ran such a unique defensive scheme that game that all defenses ran that same 6-1 scheme the next season. Which ruined the Rams so bad that McVay had to redo his offense the season after that. So Belichick might have had something to do with that win.
@patrickk1028 understood, but its still the players who have to execute the game plan.
Anyone else think this guy sounds JUST like Katt Williams???
Saints should’ve been there
Todd was hurt and kupp aint play rams win easy
Stop making excuses after 6 years
U coping yall just got outplayed
wouldve had 8 if he didnt tear his ACL, cry more
@@eraseplays2501 who?
The Rams offense did fine against everyone else
Love hearing about the "war" stories. Thanks for sharing, it really means something to us mortals!!!!!!!!!
