You didn’t mention in the video (I assume because you opened it all at once and didn’t notice), but every day in this calendar actually represents a specific year of LEGO Star Wars, so as you get closer to Christmas you count in order from 1999 (Day 1) to 2024 (Day 24). The days represent, by year: 1999: 7140 X-Wing Fighter 2000: First Leia Minifigure in 7190 Millennium Falcon 2001: 7146 TIE Fighter 2002: First Super Battle Droid figure in 7163 Republic Gunship 2003: 4483 AT-AT 2004: 10134 UCS Y-Wing Attack Starfighter 2005: LEGO Star Wars The Video Game 2006: 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge 2007: 10179 Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon 2008: First Ahsoka Minifigure in 7675 AT-TE Walker and 7680 The Twilight 2009: 8039 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser 2010: 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle 2011: 7931 T-6 Jedi Shuttle 2012: 9525 Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian Fighter 2013: First Phase II 501st Trooper minifigure in 75002 AT-RT and 75004 Z-95 Headhunter 2014: 75053 The Ghost 2015: Updated Luke Skywalker Minifigure in 75093 Death Star Final Duel 2016: 75155 Rebel U-Wing Fighter 2017: 75168 Yoda's Jedi Starfighter 2018: First Praetorian Guard Minifigure in 75216 Snoke's Throne Room (disappointingly the closest this calendar gets to sequel representation) 2019: 75251 Darth Vader's Castle 2020: 75292 The Razor Crest 2022: 75341 UCS Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder 2024: 75384 The Crimson Firehawk It's unfortunate that there aren't any builds/figures for 2021 or 2023, however cutting two years was necessary to keep it in 24 days and since those two years are so recent I suppose they made the most sense to cut.

I think next advent calendar should only include builds that the minikilts make in Lego stars wars Complete saga for the 20th anniversary of Lego Star Wars 1
They added the gifts in the order of release. This is why you get the Firehawk on the 24th and the blue X-Wing on the 1st. And one model related to each year (skipping 1 year obviously).
I remember when i would peek ahead for day 24 and try to see who it was without it being obvious to my parents that i opened the little door thing 😂 Also my dad would prank me and open the package beforehand, put a minifig I already had inside and staple it back in 🤣
Glad to see you doing more reviews! But you gotta catch up! Still a lot to do including the Creative Play Droid Builder One. Also Ryan, I would love it if you did a worst to first all 2024 sets like previous years! :)
I'm going to put the same general timestamp as everyone else, 4:12, but for a different reason. If you look at the sweater, you can see a very apparent edge to where the print is. I doubt that it is intentional, but it's certainly unusual
i really like the luke and leia sweater figs. also lukes landspeeder, the falcon and the atat look really good, im going to use at least a couple pf those in a moc
Crimson Firehawk might've been day 24 because of the red / white colorscheme, hence the small santa reference. But they could've also done the T6 Shuttle for that spot too...
one year we should get a Christmas clone trooper with exclusive printing. Something like a Rudolph clone trooper with a brown helmets torso and legs with a red nose printed on it. something goofy and fun to match the Christmas theme.
They go in order of years of LEGO releases. Hence why the X-Wing has the color it have and finishing with the Crimison FireHawk because it’s the latest release year for LEGO.
Serious question for Mandr: How do I display my advent builds? I find they are just always shoved into drawers and lost, or broke. Ideas for displaying such a small build?
I have always said that the advent calendar should be mini versions of the sets that came out that year, maybe the year before. the non holiday versions of the minifigs could be like the pretorian guard to add to the sets that came out this year. There will always be a clone trooper, a droid that they fight. a figure that seems to lift a set, a minifig to help people get one without having to pay $80+. For the holiday ones I like the sweater ones and can be implemented into other things easier than the santa figs. the CF being day 24 is CRAZY!!!!!
I believe they matched the days with the years of Lego Star Wars. As in, each day represents a year and a set from that year, hence the throw back x wing and tie fighter, and the fire hawk being day 24 as one of the last things to have come out.
Is the Y-wing not meant to be a miniature version of the 1999 Y-wing also given that it’s an anniversary set? The full size one is funky looking by modern standards as are most of the classic sets. I think the blockiness does it justice in my opinion. Luke’s landspeeder looks amazing, I really liked the Mythrol one they done prior although I think this one is more of a nod to the 2010 version than the 1999 original in terms of colour
it wasn't a venator that's an acclamator-class (or at least looks more like one without the binoculars for the bridge), also on leia's sweater that's one of the hoth turrets, but yeah, i might be getting that
4:09 i think that other smaller atat is a hoth turret which would explain why the atat is pointing the other way i'm not sure though it just looks more like a hoth turret to me
What I'm upset is that we don't get a Gamorrean guard for the UCS Jabba's Sail Barge since we only get one in that set and as a Consumer it frustrates me that LEGO didn't go the extra mile and include some kind of Jabba guard or one of his goons but guess I'm gonna go the Bricks and minifigs route ;
Hi Ryan! Big fan of your content! I have a pretty immediate choice I have to make by tomorrow, and I’ve asked a ton of people. I’d like your input. Rivendell, or the UCS Sail Barge?
The advent calendars are the one set I think would be fun to design because of the limitations Lego has to work within. On average, each door only has a parts budget of a dollar or two.
Hey MandR do you think the 25th anniversary sets are still going to be available on may the 4th next year? Unless they do a 4X insiders points around black friday I think I'll wait. And now with the sail barge I must be past the 2K$ if I get everything from '24 lol
So personally I get the calendars for the jumpers sadly the idea of buying them to resell is just a not viable option nowadays as everything is way to over produced, I remember like 6+ years ago going wow people are paying that much that’s nuts, myself I’m a Collector which is kinda why I like the Christmas sweaters as I’m going to be building a Christmas house for Lego me and my late mum it’s something I talked with her about last Christmas but I never got round to making it before she passed so I owe her that as she loved Christmas.
For the Helmet holes on the 501st maybe lego could just include like a small hole filler plug. That way if someone wants to close the hole, they can just plug it.
It's not the hole that's the problem it's the placement. Why add a second extrusion with holes when the extrusion below it can have the holes like they did in the past. Could have atleast chosen a set that people actually care about for the last day, if they were gonna do a set
That’s brilliant!!
Why do they add the smallest details in the Christmas sweater print, but not for UCS sets 🤦♂️

On Leia's sweater, is that not a turret?
That's what I was thinking, it's definitely not a smaller AT-AT
Its a turret for sure.
I agree and I was going to post the same thing. That is not an AT-AT, It's definitely a turret.
The minifigs are boring now. These days we just get characters with festive jumpers. So dull.
Also that’s a turret.

Glad advents haven’t got the black box art treatment yet
They're overpriced enough to have it.
9:25 actually they have made a micro Jabba’s Sail Barge back in the 2015 advent calendar. This one is better
It's always nice to watch an Mandr video
I think that's one of the rebel defense turrets on Leia's sweater, not another AT-AT
The best 24th day would be a Santa dearth Vader
The video having a 12:24 runtime is probably not a coincidence
I interpreted that second at-at on leia’s sweater as one of those Hoth rebel turrets
4:45 I see what you did there…
On sale at Target for $35 this week.
To be honest, I thought the crimson firehawk was the first Star Wars/Marvel crossover 😂

Crimson Firehawk might've been day 24 because of the red / white colorscheme, hence the small santa reference. But they could've also done the T6 Shuttle for that spot too...
I think the “other at at” on Leias sweater is actually one of the Hoth turrets. Like the one from the “echo base” set.
The goat is finally uploading again!
Getting the firehawk on the last day feels like all the things going wrong with Lego combined in that last slot ^^

something goofy and fun to match the Christmas theme.
There’s only one AT-AT on Princess Leia’s sweater. The other “smaller AT-AT” is a rebel turret, specifically a DF.9 anti-infantry battery.
the landspeeder comment 😂😂 “get it out of their system”
I got this basically for the Ahsoka figure and the minikit. It brought back lego star wars game nostalgia

They should have put more thought into day 24. Making a star wars character Santa would of been cool. (Old Rex as Santa Or Gregor would of been fire)
the builds this year are good but the minifigures are pretty mid
Im actually considering buying this!
I think the theme was 24 years of sets so in theory, each bubble represents a year. Not sure if that is true or not.

I'm not sure if Ryan has given his solution idea for fixing the holes on the clone helmets before but if he has can someone tell me?
For the Helmet holes on the 501st maybe lego could just include like a small hole filler plug. That way if someone wants to close the hole, they can just plug it.
Not enough people care and they'll keep buying them so Lego has no incentive
@@thisismywill Yup. Guess so.
It's not the hole that's the problem it's the placement. Why add a second extrusion with holes when the extrusion below it can have the holes like they did in the past.
