42 years ago, we too, were a family of five in a small 2 bedroom mobile home for several years. We were able to save up enough money to eventually buy a piece of land and have a medium size home framed up, then finished it ourselves, as we had the cash money! Love your home!❤️
I'm so glad to have found your channel. My husband and I are in the process of downsizing to a manufactured home. We currently live in a 2400 sq. ft. home with our two children 23 and 19. The 23-year-old will be married soon. And our 19-year-old son will be moving with us. With this move we will be completely debt free! And my husband will be retiring in 5 years! You did a beautiful job with your home. Very cozy, comfy and inviting!
Thank you for your post, Annie!! We love hearing about other people taking the steps to simplify find more happiness in life!! Keep us updated on your journey!
Very impressive! Our home is 1400, not a manufactured though. Sometimes I feel like we should move to something bigger and “better” but seeing this really opened up my eyes! Going to keep being thankful for my little home, we’ve been blessed with everything we need ❤️
This is wonderful!! It is easy to be intrigued by 'more'. But we believe the rewards are twofold when we're happy and content with 'less'. Thank you for commenting!
I just recently downsized very drastically too. I get a little twinge of that old "I need to keep up with the Joneses" when I drive by the big fine homes in my neighborhood, but overall I am so much less stressed and content in a smaller home! *PRECIOUS baby by the way!!!*
What a BEAUTIFUL home !!! I love how you've cut down on what you have. My family is doing the same thing. It's so hard to get rid of the things we love, but it's important to us to live SIMPLY !!! We went from over 1800 square feet to 540 in our retirement home, so even though change is really hard for us, it's sooooo good to feel less burgeoned with stuff.
I don't know you personally but am so proud of your guys! Living simply, saving money will really make such a better quality life was smiling for you this whole video. Blessings as you continue to renovate!
Theresa 1967 so true. I have wasted so much money on sewing supplies and expensive fabrics that I wonder if I’ll ever live long enough to use it all up. At least I caught myself and refuse to buy more...well, maybe the occasional zipper or quilt backing, as needed....🙄
I have personally lived in 2 manufactured homes in my lifetime and while it may be a small space, it is absolutely possible to make it look good and downsize while still staying organized. You guys did a good job!
This video brought me to tears. I remember as a young married couple starting out. RIP to my babies daddy. We bought a single wide 4 bedroom. The joy if owning our own home. Thank you for this and God bless your family
This is wisdom... I'm doing the same thing, my singlewide is 3bed/1bath though. Save your money and put it towards what matters! Awesome interior as well
Wow I’m amazed! My husband has been trying to convince me to get into a manufacturer home and I just couldn’t wrap my head around how it would work but seeing this gives a whole new prospective. Thank you for this video!!
Family of five I love your downsize video! I myself, Lisa live also in a modular or manufactured home. Living in homes like these you learn to be more humble and appreciate space and home life. I've just started doing some Renovations and remodeling after living here 12 years now. But I am enjoying every minute of seeing from before and after what my home can do. I have had some Plumbing challenges and electrical challenges living in this home but I am slowly working out financially how to get past that.
I love the simple elegance of this place. You are amazing to have a newborn and five people living there and it being so organized and lovely. And by the way, Amber you are lovely too!
I love your home .when i was child i live in mobile home with 7 people in 1,000 sq-ft it was the best time in my life .thank you for sharing god bless you and your beautiful family xo.
Thank you so much for taking us along on your journey. I have recently downsized from a large home to a 1500 sq ft mobile home. I was fortunate enough to find a mobile that was in great shape and had some major updates done such as windows, AC, and roof. I have added new flooring, paint, and fixtures. I like to repurpose things and have a wonderful repurpose store in my area that I frequent. It is so nice to see young people like yourselves living a simple happy life. I look forward to seeing more of you.
U an ur husband did such a great job remodeling ur home it's beautiful, also I like the way u realize the blessings that was given to u that's wonderful.
I just stumbled upon this older video. You guys are a cute family. And .. Mrs Ma'am.. you look amazing! I just had my 4th little (uh 5 mos ago) and wish I looked that put together! When he was a month old it was an accomplishment to have just brushed my hair. Lol. Love your decor had you not told me it was only 14 wide I would have thought it was much bigger!
Thanks for showing your lovely home! We are a family of 5 and live in a 1B 1B apartment. This is we can save 💵 to buy some land and build or first get a small mobile home on the land and build a small home in the future. Happy to see people that think different as well!!
Your home is lovely. We are a family of 6 and are in a 3bdrm 888 square ft manufactured home. Yours seems to be more open than ours so we have trouble making furnature work. My children are 12, 10, 6, 4 and only one is a boy. We also have to 85 pound dogs. It gets tight as they grow but we make it work the best we can. At the end of the day all that really matters is the fact that we are even blessed enough to have a home in the first place. Thank you for sharing.
My husband, 3 children and I lived in a small mobile home when they were little. We were very content to be able to be able to afford to do many things that would have been impossible with a big house payment. Before I turned around, they were pre-teens and we had definitely outgrown the space. Just be prepared. That day comes more quickly than you would think.
Sharon, we would love to hear more about your experience, seriously!! We have heard this from several people. Feel free to message us, or connect with us on our website or facebook!
You did an awesome job decorating! We are a family of 8 in a 1,200 square foot ranch home. It can get cluttered sometimes but we try to donate as much as possible! 😃
Great job! One hint is that if you want your shirts to hang over the bureau, use the hangers with short necks. The long necked hangers I think, are made for coats with full or fur collars. You have a beautiful family!
Beautiful - family and home! I live in an 864 sq ft home built in 1945 on a 1/3 acre. I’ve got nothing against big homes, but I really enjoy the easy upkeep on my country cabin.
You did a great job! It’s so bright and pretty! And the blue cabinets👌🏼😉- love the color. I painted the inside of my cabinets that color! We bought a small ranch house under 1000 sq ft 17 years ago/ down sized from a house more than 3x the size. That was before downsizing was popular!😂 but we have never regretted it! We have three kids and our youngest was 9 months old when we moved (It gets really tight as they get older). We have constantly learned to simplify- that’s been a really good thing! When we bought the house it had very dark stained barn board on every wall through the kitchen & living areas- I painted them all a very light sand color- huge difference! My grandma used to say: “paper & paint will make ya what ya ain’t” 😂 it’s so true ! A good amount of elbow grease helps too! You two are hard workers and your hard work is paying off! The money you are saving today - you will thank yourself for later!😉👍🏼 Enjoy your beautiful Home!
I really love how you’ve decorated everything, it is nice and simple with really nice touches of decor, very inspiring. I just subscribed and look forward to more of your videos! 😀
Very nice! Thank you for sharing. 😊 My mind changed for the better when my mom moved into a mobile home; 2 bedrooms; jacuzzi; 45 oak cabinet kitchen with an island; 2 fireplaces. I couldn't believe it. She landscaped too, and she was always good at editing the "stuff" in our home. I am not. I wish I were.
Wow, great size mobile home. We lived in a 732 sq ft one for a year with our 4 kiddo’s. We didn’t have nearly that much space but you know what? I was all ours! Bought and paid for ☺️
Love this video! You guys are wonderful and I relate: seven children plus two equals a family of nine and one bathroom. Once we had four children in one bedroom with triple bunks and a crib. Those were the days my friend. Beautiful baby.
CraftyLinnieP, thank you! And yes, it does feel bigger than 1,000 square feet. The white walls and ceiling help make it feel bigger. It's actually just under 1,000. The dimension of the home are 71 feet long by 14 feet wide.
I got inspired by you and decided to remodel our mobile home too. My husband and I were initially going to see if we could get a house instead but we didn’t want a high mortgage payment. After looking at your video we decided to just remodel our home to save money.
I love your little home! My husband and I are looking forward to downsizing both our home size and our expenditures. Singlewide homes are such a good option!
Thanks!! I agree that singlewide manufactured homes are a great option for downsizing. Bigger than tiny houses on wheels, but they do require a lot or land to put them, since moving one can be expensive. Keep us updated on your journey!! We’re excited for you all!!
I am 23 and trying to figure out how to get out of debt and stay out of debt all while trying to figure out how to move out in the future at the same time. I have realized that what you all are doing is exactly what I want and my boyfriend loves the idea of living simply as well! You all have such a beautiful home and family!
Love seeing a family that lives like mine! My family of 6 lives in a 1200 square foot modular home and we love it! We did by it new though so its more of a payment. We had to downsize considerably moving in here. We don’t keep things we don’t need because we don’t have room for it! lol
Love this!! Thank you for sharing! Downsizing definitely forces you to get rid of unnecessary clutter, which is a great feeling! Glad you are enjoying your journey!
Awww look at that precious angel! Your home is beautiful. Absolutely love the coffee and tea bar! U did a great job utilizing space. I am a mom of 3 moving into a 4 bedroom 1100 sq ft home so i too have a familyof 5. 6 counting my pup. Thanku for the video
You did a beautiful job updating your mobile home. I love your blue kitchen cupboards. Looks so much bigger and it's a nice floor plan. I wish you the best with your beautiful family.
Beautiful home! This gives me courage as my family lives in an 1100 square foot farm house with 2 small bedrooms and we're expecting our first baby! I'm slowly learning how to maximize space and realizing we really don't need that much!
YAY !!! FINALLY A channel about mobile home spaces, it’s beautiful and thanks for taking me on your family journey, I live in a 10 X 50 but minus the tong it’s 497 feet so I definitely understand the smallness . It looks very welcoming and cozy 👍🏻👍🏻💜🤗♥️👵🏼
You are no different than our family! We too are a family of 5 (3 boys) and currently living in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. I never understood the thrill of needing a larger home, it nice, but not for us. To each's own 🤗
I'm really impressed. You have a beautiful home. You prove that we really dont need alot of stuff to live. We could all learn from you.Thank you for sharing.
I love your home. We sold our large 4 bedroom house to move in with my mom to care for her in her mobile home. I love living on the little lake I grew up on, also mortgage free.
We're a family of 6 and 1000 sq ft would be upgrading! Lol!! I have a soft spot for mobile homes. I think they are cute!! We currently live in a 2 bed, 1 bath cottage under 900 sq ft.
Today I found you video and your home is lovely! I'm moving to Minnesota in 3 months renting an apartment, but I hope in 2 years to have my own tiny home. God bless your family and I look forward to seeing more videos! 💚
Great job! Your decorating ideas are so inspiring. And I know your sweet baby loves her mommas arms :). You and your husband are so calm. That's exactly what makes your home so filled with so much love. I'm now subscribed and truly look forward to all of your upcoming videos. Thanks so much for sharing.
You've done an absolutely fantastic job ... with the home and with the video. I love the "tiny living" trend and your blessed family has captured it's lifestyle in an amazing way. Everything is just beautiful! Continue to enjoy each other ... instead of "things".
I wish more people could grasp the concept on focusing on what truly matters.

Thank you for saying this.
Your home is very nice, but your baby stole the show. She's so adorable!
Haha, thank you, Tricia!!
Right! Such a doll!❤

How are we supposed to listen to a word you're saying when you have that gorgeous baby on your shoulder? That's just not fair in any way!
Haha, thank you!!
Truth! All I heard was blah blah blah.

Hello? Are you still there? Its been one year since your post, how's it going? My wife and I are considering down sizing into a mobile home as well.
It is so refreshing to see a home tour of a mobile home. My family of 4 live in an apartment but I love mobile homes. You've decorated it so nicely.
Thank you!!
Very impressive! Our home is 1400, not a manufactured though. Sometimes I feel like we should move to something bigger and “better” but seeing this really opened up my eyes! Going to keep being thankful for my little home, we’ve been blessed with everything we need ❤️

This is great! Don't limit yourself, explore as many options as you can! Good research goes a long way! Keep us updated on your journey!!
We lived in a mobile home for 14 years and I miss it
I thought the same thing!
because of your color scheme, you made the home appear much bigger - very, very nice home. I like how you guys are doing things in stages.
Thank you so much, Myra!!

The only regret anyone has about downsizing and living with less is that they didn’t do it sooner.❤️
Haha, very good point!!
Theresa 1967 so true. I have wasted so much money on sewing supplies and expensive fabrics that I wonder if I’ll ever live long enough to use it all up. At least I caught myself and refuse to buy more...well, maybe the occasional zipper or quilt backing, as needed....🙄
You seem very happy...Im so happy for you guys. I wanna cry because I wish I had mobile home to live in. I'm trying so hard.
That is living! Everything looks beautiful and functional
Thank you!!!
Amen. I agree. Great job.
+Our Journey To Bliss God bless you, and your family.
+Our Journey To Bliss oh and you are sound so sweet. Very nice calm voice. Your baby was so relaxed.
I have personally lived in 2 manufactured homes in my lifetime and while it may be a small space, it is absolutely possible to make it look good and downsize while still staying organized. You guys did a good job!
Your home is quite relaxing and calm... I know it’s probably a wee bit chaotic with the adorable munchkins but your intention shines through....

robyn howes you are so right! So darling
The key is home layout. This is a good one.
I love the simple elegance of this place. You are amazing to have a newborn and five people living there and it being so organized and lovely. And by the way, Amber you are lovely too!

Wonderful job fixing up this mobile home! Looks very spacious and fully functional. A smaller home also encourages more outdoor activity!
My family of 5 live in a small 900 square foot house 😊
You’ve done an incredible job turning this mobile home into a cozy, beautiful 🏠 home...
What a beautiful family. Living in simplicity and peace it's the way to go.
I love the light feel. The kitchen is LOVELY
Thank you!!
it actually looks like a nice roomy house. you did a lovely job. i am considering buying a manufactured home to put on my property.
Thanks, D G!! MFD homes are great options to have available!
Y’all did a good job and it looks so clean without a lot of clutter.

Haha, thanks for the comment!!
I want out of my apt sooo bad- this makes me think it _is_ possible! Cute home... *adorable* baby!
I love how you did your whole place but my favorite is the kids room😍
My husband, 3 children and I lived in a small mobile home when they were little. Great job! One hint is that if you want your shirts to hang over the bureau, use the hangers with short necks. The long necked hangers I think, are made for coats with full or fur collars. You have a beautiful family!
Thank you so much!! Great tip!!
Beautiful - family and home! I live in an 864 sq ft home built in 1945 on a 1/3 acre. I’ve got nothing against big homes, but I really enjoy the easy upkeep on my country cabin.
Lovely home and beautiful family!
You did a great job! It’s so bright and pretty! And the blue cabinets👌🏼😉- love the color. I painted the inside of my cabinets that color!

Thank you so much for your post and encouragement!! We hope 17 years from now we are as successful with our journey as you have been!!!

Thank you, April!!
What a great yard!! awe you had your precious baby, so cute. The inside is beautiful.
Hello sweet little fella!
Bought and paid for ☺️
That's the goal for us, too! Thank for commenting, Jennifer!
Love this video! You guys are wonderful and I relate: seven children plus two equals a family of nine and one bathroom. Once we had four children in one bedroom with triple bunks and a crib. Those were the days my friend. Beautiful baby.
I agree, Tricia G.! I sure loved the house, but had quite a time concentrating with that little cutie stealing the spotlight! Precious baby!
Your home is beautiful. It looks a lot bigger than just 1000 sq. ft. tfs

I am 23 and trying to figure out how to get out of debt and stay out of debt all while trying to figure out how to move out in the future at the same time. I have realized that what you all are doing is exactly what I want and my boyfriend loves the idea of living simply as well! You all have such a beautiful home and family!
Thank you so much, Brittany! Good luck on your journey, and keep us updated!

Single wide trailers are really underrated. It's really nice living in a house with windows on both sides.

You are no different than our family! We too are a family of 5 (3 boys) and currently living in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. I never understood the thrill of needing a larger home, it nice, but not for us. To each's own 🤗

We're a family of 6 and 1000 sq ft would be upgrading! Lol!! I have a soft spot for mobile homes. I think they are cute!! We currently live in a 2 bed, 1 bath cottage under 900 sq ft.
Haha, we'll be at 6 in a couple months, and we LOVE small cottages!! Thanks for commenting!

Thank you!!
You've done an absolutely fantastic job ... with the home and with the video. I love the "tiny living" trend and your blessed family has captured it's lifestyle in an amazing way. Everything is just beautiful! Continue to enjoy each other ... instead of "things".
Thank you for your words! They're very appreciated!!
