Hello, I have one of this ESC, I am not software guy, I have generated the project with MotorControl Workbench, compiled with TrueStudio, and programmed to STM32, I have build a cable for a USB to serial adapter and it seems everything is correct but I have not connection with GUI. Are you using SDK5.1.1 or 4.3? your firmware have UART enable? I am thinking if you could send me your .elf file so I can determine what is not working.
I have a sucessfull connections with both versions 4.3 and 5.x via UART. I used the IAR Workbench to compile the software project form the ST Website. If you write my a mail i can send you my *.elf file to test if connection is possible.
could you also send me the *.elf file to ryan.deeb@gmail.com? I think that the SW4STM AC6 for Eclipse is not a supported compiler for the ESC001v1. I think I need to get IAR Workbench because the project is not compiling.
Hi Jose, I am having the same issue, the UART just won't connect! I have tried many different UART-USB hardware peripherals but none seem to work with this board. Could you kindly let me know what worked for you? was it some hardware peripheral change, Firmware flash etc? your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance. Karanbir
Hello, I am trying to communicate with ESC using RPI over CAN. I have connected MCP2515 with RPI. I tested RPI's CAN, it is working fine. I figured out the protocol through which your code is communicating i.e. 0x702 CAN ID will request all data. Now I am send the message with similar CAN ID from RPI to ESC but ESC is not responding. Kindly help!!
Hi sounds interesting! Did you send 29-Bit-Identifier also named as „Extended frame format“ (CAN 2.0B) which I use? You use STEVAL_ESC001V1.hex from GitHub in you ESC? If this doesnt help feel free to contact me via Mail.
Good question, I think if you optimize the FOC parameters for your specific BLDC motor it is a bit more efficient but not sure whether it is worth the effort. There are are things with more effect like reducing weight ...
ST has a great community forum. I think there you can find a lot of information and ask your question to the creators of the ESC: community.st.com/s/topic/0TO0X000000BWnuWAG/stevalesc001v1
@@MikrocontrollerProjekte Wow! thanks for the link! I soldered all of the wires onto it yesterday, then tried to give it a spin, but it seems that it needs to be configured first. Thanks for this great resource! Have a nice day!
For the first try to spin the Motor you can use the ST Motor Profiler. So it should run after some minutes. See the following video: th-cam.com/video/Jy_VtyiPU04/w-d-xo.html
So far I have not tried anything with audio and in the near future I have no plans for such projects. Have a look at the ST Firmware packages ... I think there you can find audio examples.

Bro can you share basic firmware of only esc, i generated it using mcworkbench but my motor is not spinning. I am very confused
@Mikrocontroller Projekte is the ESC001V1 able to to do forward & reverse as well as braking?

Ok, it seems there are a IAR evaluation version, i am downloading. my email is jlcortex@gmail.com , Thanks!
GUI is made with Embedded Wizard GUI Builder

Hello, in which application did you design the project?
UI is made with Embedded Wizard. Motor control is done with ST MCSDK.
Very impressive! Do you think that this FOC ESC is more efficient than a normal rc airplane ESC?

@@MikrocontrollerProjekte Well, the ESC and linker arrived yesterday haha. How do I optimize the FOC parameters for efficiency?

Hello, Can you please upload a video on audio input and output on the same board. It will be greatly helpful. Thank You

Very nice job, it is a pleasure to see my board in action again. Did you have try to build a quad-copter with CAN communication ? :)
Thanks! No I only have one single ESC00V1 ...
