BTW, I assume the Solo Terminal is a Windows application that connects to the Controller board via USB-Serial? I understand the Arduino communicates to the CanOpen stack on the controller board.. but is there an EDS/DCF file that can be downloaded if not using an Arduino ? Regarding the BLDC Motor controller, is it sensorless (i.e. uses Back-EMF) or does it require (Hall) Sensor feedback, in order to do the commutation? Currently i have a board based on an Infineon IRMCK099M (sensorless), but the motor stalls whenever the load changes abruptly.. need to find an alternative. Do you sell just the TI IC brain of the controller, or is it only available as board-solution (motor drivers, usb-serial, etc)?
Hello, actually motion terminal runs on Linux and Mac enviroment and it's not a windows based application, it's a web-based application that works on top of a browser. regarding the EDS file please send us an email (support@solomotorcontrollers.com) The best quality of control for Torque and Speed controlling can be achieved by using Hall sensors or Encoders on your BLDC motor, we are now working on a zero-speed full torque sensorless algorithm that has the same performance as a sensor-based solution, but that might take a while, for now I'd recommend you to go with sensors. For the IC of the controllers, we are open to dicussions, please send us an email to support@solomotorcontrollers.com with your project description ( as much as you can ) and how you want to use the controllers.
@@SOLOMotorControllers At the moment we've been evaluating a sensorless Aveox Controller from Rix Ind. and it seems to be working with the wild load swings of the compressor. Will reach out via email if anything changes, thanks again.
@@bennguyen1313 We are very close with our Zero speed full torque sensorless realease, so basically if you like we can get in touch and we might be able to provide you some early realeases to Test it on your Motor.
The principle are common but we dont talk about them directly as we don't privide this solution. But we will evaluate this possibility too! Thank you for your feedback
Is it possible to take this setup one step further by having it broadcast (in hex) the speed? For example, using pulse width signal (digital or analog) of a transmission vehicle speed sensor- interpreted -tuned by Solo Terminal then having the interpreted speed broadcast over CAN to other nodes in 11 bit hex ID value (D). In other words, obd2 speed sensor to CAN.
The CAN section work based on CANOpen standard (you can network all the nodes too and share the information). Can you elaborate more the setup you like to have. If you like to post Images about the setup you like to have you can use www.solomotorcontrollers.com/forum/
is this possible to control an erob actuator through Arduino uno and a can module mcp2515.The erob actuator uses a can open communication. Already it have a software eTunner (Zeroerr).but i want to control the servo through separate Arduino uno and can module.is it possible, please reply soon

Very interesting video. I have a question, please, do you also talk about motors with integrated drive?

Hello, Yes, the CAN module on the CAN shield is MCP2515, thus you can use it with Arduino and SOLO
Sir can you know about the erob Actuator?
