Ego Draconis was one of the earlier RPG games I was exposed to when I was a kid, and this soundtrack was honestly so peaceful, serene. It genuinely felt like I was in a fantasy world, that I was the dragon knight and I had to defeat Damian and the Black Ring. Even if Broken Valley gets gassed later in the game, this soundtrack and the view from the top of the tower makes me really nostalgic.
@@jannikkiesgen1387 I agree, returning to Broken Valley covered in poison mist and everything destroyed really made me get fired up and want to demolish the Black Ring desecrating the once peaceful valley
Such a powerful track. The entire soundtrack itself makes the game so complete, it is a testament to how great an impact music has on one's experience in life.
I meet this game when I was like 10 years old, I don't know how a kid like me got interested in this game because Ive never been a big fan of the medieval and magic stuff, but this game got into my heart I knew about it thanks to a demo that came in a xbox magazine, I kinda ignored it, but my mom started playing it and she loved it, and as I saw her playing I got interested too, that even when mom bought the full game I inmediately started and I was loving every second of it. Until I reached the Maxos Temple and got stuck in the Amdusias room lmao (where you need to collect his blood and scales) I abandoned the game for like a year until the knowledge of Internet blessed our home and I could finally face Amdusias and keep playing I have so many good memories with this game, mostly because it was the era where I was just a kid, with nothing to worry about, Im 21 (almost 22) years old as I write this and, well, let's just say that I truly miss those times Thank you Larian Studios and Kirill Pokrovsky for this wonderful game and soundtrack 💖
This was a very impressive and exciting game to play it was difficult and easy to get lost by not knowing where to go next or what to do next but it had its incredible gameplay and story and I loved it, but over I wish I could have brought that mocking annoying damned one down once in for all instead of his lover again :(
Such a fantastic soundtrack...easily one of the best aspects of the game, if not the best. I'm surprised bigger developers haven't snatched Kirill Pokrovsky for their RPGs. He's one of the few video game composers working today that competes with the likes of Jeremy Soule.
@wackojim Because movies have already survived the struggle to become as critically acclaimed as they are and video games are still in the early stages of becoming recognized. Won't stop me from enjoying them.
I think this game is amazing and would be ten times more so if it had the "loose combat" engine of Elder Scrolls. That's really it's only rough area, make the combat system a little less stiff and more managable and I'd play nothing else for a very long time and enjoy every minute.
Iron Zur's work on BG2:ToB and IWD2 were excellent, but I think his more recent work has been kind of underwhelming (DA:O and Fallout 3's soundtracks were kind of 'bleh' imo). I'm not familiar with Brown, but I just think Kirill's music has an exotic quality that sets itself apart from other works atmospherically.
Im a OST LOVER .. and i can say there is several known OST from diferent pictures mixed in the OST from this game. ... 2 examples: FIFTH ELEMENT from Eric Serra & BLADE RUNNER from Vangelis (this examples are not mixed.. they were simply COPIED exactly. , there is a LOT more mixed music from old OSTs from others films. so do not praise tomuch this OST.
@orlandothx Look at Kill Bill and then at Lady Snowblood. Every single good thing that guy had in any movie is copycated. And still he is famous as fuck and makes millions. So who cares where he took the inspirations for that OST.
Most underrated RPG of all time. A serious contender with those like Oblivion and Dragon Age.
Oblivion, Fable TLC and Divinity II ego draconis made my childhood (with Halo but halo isn't an rpg lul)
I swear it’s so good
Nwn
@@VITAS874 nostalgia kicks in
A good RPG is when you can stop what you're doing in game and still feel immersed by the soundtrack. Beautiful.
Кирилл Покровский - гений. Спасибо тебе за лучший саундтрек в игровой индустрии.

Ах, как это было прекрасно!

I touched me deeply seeing the valley being destroyed and the Peceafulness being taken away so brutally...

Years later and this game still hits different

Everything cool they did with this music, you just ruined. I've never felt lamer about enjoying something.
What heinous crime did I commit exactly?
@@TraustiGeir i too dont get what the fuck he said xD you said kind things i dont get why he said that
One person disliked this. He must be Damian!
It's now three dislikes, no doubt Ygerna and some Black Ring general.
Baal isn't amused.
🤣🤣
Beautiful song. One of my favorite from any game.
Beautiful beyond words...
The Divinity 2 soundtrack surpasses that of many movies. How come Kirill Pokrovsky isn't already a renowned fim composer?

unparalleled music in any other video-game. Nothing comes even close.
😢что то в глаза попало.......а это ты, мои школьные годы
This music sends chills through me..
Probably one of the best music I've ever heard in my entire life.

MEMORIES...
Divine Divinity... Good times.
The legend of Spyro and this game have one of best soundtrack with dragons.
Beautiful Game, and a Awesome Soundtrack
RIP Kirill.
this track is a true Gothic 2 worship in a good way - imo
Starting at 2:45 it is imaginable that it might be a transition into black metal like Moonsorrow.
i love pretty music in games it always give sme tears.
I think Song of Elune, from World of Warcraft is gorgeous.
The most beautiful thing that I've heard since the "Solaris"soundtrack by Cliff Martinez .
Best Story game ever played
I will be your guide should you stray too far and wide. But Zandalor was right - you must find Lovis.
Especially Dragon Age.
Es un tema tan bueno y relajante.
whats the name of the song you hear at the darien cut scene when he grabs his neckless and remembers what they did to his wife?

Wow
Good music, fucking awesome questline, That was good enough for me in this game. But it got better

Kiril is masterpeace itself...btw found this full ost at.. w w w . mexafuria . com
c'mon, there's still Inon Zur and Bill Brown and more
Agree with you. Combat system is what makes this game bad. But other than that its a good rpg game
