    It's interesting to watch a pro MUA compared to a youtuber. Most tutorials on TH-cam start with color in the crease. Your method of packing the lid and blending is beautiful.

    YOU ARE THE BEST ANGIE! I am a beginner MUA (it has been my dream for a long time!).
    Last Saturday I spend the whole rainy day studying your vids. Thank you so much for doing this! lately I have been feeling a little overwhelmed and kinda down for comparing myself with the Beauty vloggers and Beauty gurus... and your videos has been like an oasis! THANK YOU!
    This Argentinian living in the Netherlands sends you Lots of love!!!!

      Thank you for watching!! Working as a makeup artist in the traditional sense really has no similarities to working as a beauty vlogger/youtuber/beauty guru (or whatever they are called). They are two completely different forms of makeup artistry and the two cannot be compared. Try not to be too hard on yourself!!

    fourth, you're really talented, motivator and inspirator
    ahh.. you're so sweet, kind, and have a kind fun personality too!
    fifth, if you don't mind it... can you make bridal makeup tutorial or makeup looks using a best drugstore makeup for a poor kid like me xD thank you a lot. love you

    This Smokey eye tutorial was so helpful! I’ve been putting the dark shade on the lid first, but man it works so much better putting a slightly lighter shade all over lid first and then adding the dark. Tested this out today with a brown and deep purple and was very happy 👍

    I looooove green for eyeshodow. While you were building the smokey eye, in my mind I was like "yeees yeeeeees" and you kept on packing the green shadow. on her lids. And then the reflective green. Sublime.

    Angie, you are an amazing artist! Both these looks were gorgeous. I've been wondering whether to invest in Viseart palettes and you've certainly inspired me to take the leap. If you have the Viseart Bridal Satin palette or the cool or dark matte palettes, would love to see eye makeup looks using these palettes. I've been wondering if the Viseart Bridal Satin shimmer shades would be too much shimmer on older women and would love your thoughts on this. I always learn so much from your videos. Thanks so much.

      The only Viseart palettes I have in my kit are the ones in this video. I used to have one of the neutral matte palettes but that one is the one that got broken.

    Hey. What brush is that at 11:11? It appears to be a lash brush. Where did you get it? It was not mentioned.

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! It’s not mentioned because I don’t know. I bought it from a trade show years ago and have no clue where it’s from.

  • @nicoleta8378
    @nicoleta8378 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    that green😍😍😍😍 . So you recommend the viseart neutral mattes and cool mattes.You always use the real techniques contouring and setting brush , they are really soft? I have the expert face brush and is a little bit scratchy. 💖

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Viseart shadows are all great quality and those are great palettes if you can afford them! As far as brushes are concerned if I use them in a video or have them in my kit I don’t have any issues with them.

    • @nicoleta8378
      @nicoleta8378 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Angie Di Battista thank you,i have just a brush from RT because i was sceptical to buy more after first one . I will buy more from other sites and compare them , maybe is a fake. In Romania they are not in fhysical stores ...

    Love this! The Viseart theory palettes are so easy to pack in a kit. I'm a big fan.
    Tech question for you:
    What are you using to write the notes on the before image? Is that a stylus with an editing program?
    TIA💖

      It’s just a program on my iPad called Procreate - I export png files from that program to Premiere Pro.

    Angie, what are your thoughts on mixing “Dew the Hoola Glow” by Benefit into foundation. I’ve heard it works great for tanned skins and balance out the look. I’m moving to Michigan and some girls there overkilll on suntanning beds. Glad you brought that up because it’s a real issue we face. Thank you for another great video!!!

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve never used it so I don’t have any experience with it but I’m sure in moderation it would work.

    Hi Angie! I’m working on a client this weekend who has very visible pores and extremely oily skin. Do i use a pore filling product before a mattifying product or vis Versa? Thanks!
    -Jerrica

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jerrica! In my opinion using both might be overkill but generally speaking the pore filling products will likely go on last or they will ball up on the skin.

    Viseart recommends using Esum brushes with their shadows and whenever I have tried applying Viseart shadows with any other brush I experience fallout. There is none with Esum brushes.

    Hi Angie, I thoroughly enjoy your videos as they are so in depth and extremely helpful and you’re absolutely fantastic! I only have one “comment”, I find your ring light too bright (or too close) and it washes out your beautiful work and technique. Not trying to be an “eye specialist” but just thought I’d relay my message.
    Love your work!

    I am 70 and have crepey eye lids. Can I use the shimmer side of these palettes or not good for mature eyes? Thank you. Kathy

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the shimmer isn’t chunky and it’s more of a sheen it will work well under the brow and on the center of the eyelid regardless of your age. I would avoid using a shimmery shadow across your entire lid.

  • @TheVictoryyyy
    @TheVictoryyyy 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Angie I have noticed that your are not contouring any of the model noses... is that another instagram hype that is not needed? X

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion yes. I rarely contour anyone's nose and would likely only contour if a client requests it for corrective reasons in photos. If not done right it can look horrendous when you are filming in HD for a commercial, TV show etc. There are some facial structures that can benefit from a little bit of contouring from the inner corner of the eye down the nose but I actually cannot tell you the last time I contoured someone's nose - it's been years I think. With some lighting set ups (when the light is really strong down the centre of the face and blows out facial features) you may need to add dimension this way. This is what I see a lot of on social media - but this rarely happens in the real world on professional sets.
