Everytime i hear such a good performance of Barrios's music i think to myself what a profoundly generous legacy as a musician to offer these pieces to all the future audacious and gifted guitarists. Well done maestro!
A standout interpretation. Exceptionally free in tempo, dynamics and tonal palette--this works perfectly for a piece so emotionally complex as the name "Choro da Saudade" conveys. Also worth noting is the full tone Maestro Dukić gets despite having quite long right hand fingernails.
@@martin6613-j3y Absolutely. The point of my comment was a gentle caution to people who want to imitate very long fingernails. The result is always a combination of technique, the nail's physical properties and the nail's shape (natural and filed).
@@Fernwald84 Yes that is very true, but therfore I'd rather say he is able to produce this tone (in part) due to his long fingernails and the way he has shaped them, not despite them
Incomparable…he brings the essence of longing (saudade) ..in Ireland longing is “ An Aisling “ .. the longing or loneliness of the patriot for his home land. I think Barrios interpreted it as the loneliness of the soul for the source. A very powerful interpretation Thankyou maestro Dukic
Trying to make music of very simple pieces that have no music in them is almost an unfair challenge. The classical guitar repertoire if full of very bad music. About 99% of it is much inferior music to what other instruments have. Unless it's the Bach Lute Suites or Britten, Bennet, Arnold etc....

His nails seem fine to me... this man is one of the best guitar players in the world, I'm very certain he knows what he's doing regarding his nails

On of Barrios' very elementary compositions, interesting it has become popular...
2:09 suppose to be world's greatest guitarist but don't have an ear.
