That’s the thing about being from NY especially if you were born in the late 60s-70s because you more than likely went to school and/or lived in the same neighborhood with a future rapper /rnb singer.
For example:
Fat Joe/KoKo from SWV are from the same projects and were childhood friends
Changing Faces and Jennifer Aniston went to HS together
So many more!
His first recording was with a group called QBC produced by Mantronix in 88. He was also in the Mantronix Join Me Please video from 1988.
Love “Fresh is the Word.” I know Brice from way back and had know idea he was in Mantronix.
I remember seeing Mantronix video and then their performance on Soul Train!
And cat was in the video doing what look like the Biz dance...
Bryce is a real one…Big. Up!! Nothing but respect every time I see him..
Funny yet Real story!. From Sleeping Bag to Capitol Records. It’s funny also how he didn’t straighten up, yet was inspired, at the same time, by Todd (LL Cool J) & Sandy- Peppa (of Salt N Peppa). Cool
Mantronix "Got To Have Your Love" had Loose Ends "Gonna Make You Mine" meets Princess' "Say I'm Your Number" from the UK key, melody and vibe overall. #stockwatermanaiken #producers
It is still oppressive, the whole area of Atlanta, but Villa RICA, that is basically LA (Lower Alabama)😅
Awww disappointed he didnt talk about how he hooked up with the highly underrated Wondress!! 😢
The next episode
“Take Your Time” was the JAM! 🎶
@sidetrippingwithcary it absolutely was! I wish they pushed wondress to the forefront more cos if I recall the music video she was a mere silhouette 😕
Incredible back story!💥💥💥💥🚀
MC Shy D was one of the first rappers from Atlanta. He was actually from the Bronx. Wonder if he knows that Bryce Luvah is in an interview saying he stole his rhymes.
👍👍👍
Paddling actually worked... in elementary school
it did ALONG TIME ago...now, they call it child abuse.
He used to be so good looking!
He's still nice looking
Bryce was not the rapper on the first 3 album's it was MC Tee!
Was the original spinarella from salt and pepa his sister?
No
So MC Tee was forced out of Mantronix...
This guy is a great talent…. But he’s too arrogant.
yo he look like he can be related to ginuwine
There is a black beat magazine with both of them on the cover 😅
