Luka winning Dubai was...I've never been so happy and heartbroken at the same time in my life. A memorable moment for sure. Wodapalooza SoCal was another highlight. That one just felt good. Belgrade games with Moritz Fiebig's 1st place and Luka's 2nd. Dubai Games. I know a lot of people didn't like the obstacle course but I love doing Spartans so that was a fun one to watch for me! There were many highlights and memorable moments. The low was as low as it can go and losing Lazar the way we did has forever changed so much (and yet not what it should have). Thanks for another solid episode. Happy 2025 to my favorites!

My no rep of the 2024 season was the online discourse within the CrossFit community.
I got into CrossFit when I was 16-17 years old watching Tia and Sara and Katrin on tv and thought “wow look at those women be strong and incredible and everyone supports them!” It wasn’t until 2022 when I really got into CrossFit and tapped into the online community. What’s really disappointing and quite disturbing was the vitriol I’ve seen online in the comments directed towards athletes, coaches, and community members as a whole. There seems to be a particular subset of the community that is continuously hypercritical of all things CrossFit (not just the organization itself) Like the Rebecca vitesson incident - she got injured and yes it took some time for medical to help but she explained that she was able to receive the proper care she needed eventually. Then, for days it seemed like the only focus of the semis was the “neglect” of her injury, and no discussion of all the other positive aspects of competition. Overall, the online community has become so nasty and volatile and a bit scary - but maybe this is just a product of social media in general.
Seeing how nasty a lot of the community can be has made me take a step back from CrossFit involvement. There are podcasts I refuse to patron because of the crass behavior the hosts exhibit, and they really don’t creating a welcoming environment for the community to newcomers. I mostly just focus on the people in my own affiliate at home and love this podcast. This feels like one of the last wholesome and nuanced spaces of online crossfit (oh, and Craig Richey’s channel! )

As a fan and spectator, Dubai was a complete No Rep while Rogue was a huge PR

Regarding judging... Can they open all of the videos for open source judging? Open participants judge.

It’s getting increasingly hard to support this show when all you do is complain about CrossFit 🤦🏻‍♀️
