The reason they charge a resort fee (plus tax ) is that hotels give discounts to travel agents/booking sites so by charging locally they know they can get extra cash with having to discount it. Other hotels charge higher resort fees. It's a scam.

I don't really get jealous of your locations that much but... here we are. Goddamn I wish I was there. And yeah I've seen basic American rooms before this (not just Vegas), they actually go so hard compared to a lot of other countries.
I agree, they should quote/charge a fee that includes everything and only tell you the bottom line. Im sure there is a tax dodge by charging the resort fee separately.

Can drink for cheap/free with a few tricks of the trade 👍 if your a couple both go buy in to the craps table one of u bet the pass one of you bet the dont pass = your bets cancel each other out so u effectively play for free. The whole time your playing order drinks from the cocktail waitress and just tip $1 per drink 👍 we smashed this technique to get lashed up cos if you go to the bar yourself its mega mega mega expensive
