Interestingly is this not a LM F40 but merely a 'standard' F40 with lightweight racing wheels, tuned exhaust and most striking a LM wing. Kyosho offered three F40 models, standard car, a so called lightweight F40 and then the F40 lightweight with LM wing. Ferrari never built a lightweight F40. Some owners upgraded the brakes (the standard wheels don't fit over the new brake rotars) and fit the lightweight racing wheels. Anothe important thing of the so called Lightweight is that the exhaust is upgraded.
There are versions of this without the open window. Can you you confirm if these came after or vice versa? Mine doesn’t have the open window and it is model 08415 (red)
Another interesting thing to note is that while this car utilizes the sliding lexan windows, its inner door panels are exposed carbon. On a genuine lexan sliding window F40, the inner door panels are painted carbon.
the black stick for holding up the rear engine cover, does it come with the car..? i have this model car but i dont have the stick to hold up the rear trunk. i was wondering if i accidentally threw it away with the box...

AuldeyST, This Kyosho is the best version available with amazing detail as you can see in this review. Kyosho made the street F40 and the F40 LM lightweight in red, yellow and black that I know of. And in 1/18 and 1/12.
Unfortunately, Kyosho cannot republish this model, since their license has long expired. Instead of this model, Kyosho released the model F40 from the resin, without opening parts . (
Too bad the price is out of the roof now. Great detail pretty good quality. Remember they are notorious for blistering paint areas. Let's compare. Franklin Mint did a 1/12 1967 427 Corvette Convertible. With MANY working parts opening parts and sound , quality perfect, removable parts. Probably in lower quantities. They are between $500 usd to $1000 maybe. So diecast manufactures and aftermarket sellers can sell things at a fair price for all. But why would they or we when we all want to get rich. I had 2 of these votes. Now one. I sold one shipped it out even at $400usd . Not even at the lowest of $500 usd. Why because I was comfortable with about $100 profit from what I paid for it originally.

yes, it does, and you're supposed to stick it in the middle, in front of the Tubi exhausts

Did you know that the seats slide back and forth? I have the same model in black and they move! It's the only model I know of that has this feature

No, it never came with the model. I am using an old metal axle rod from a Hotwheels model

This model is an F40 with LM rear wing and GT wheels. No sense. Really.
