watching him carted off the field with tears rolling down his face after getting another severe concussion was one of the worst feelings i've ever had a football fan even worse than losing the Super Bowl
As a Niner fan the pain I felt when Willis retired was palpable, but strangely I felt the same when Keuchly walked away as well. You don’t like football if you didn’t LOVE watching Keuchly and Willis play the game. They gave everything they had and while it hurts as a fan, it’s understandable why they did what they did. Both are physically able to live a good quality of life, unlike a lot of their predecessors. It just goes to show how smart they really were, smart enough to walk away when they did.
Panther fan here. I think I speak for the whole fan base when I say, he is one of the most missed players to ever wear a blue and white uniform. He was/is a gentleman off the field and a freak on it.
As a non panthers fan, you speak for the rest of us as well. He may not have worn my teams jersey but he was awesome to watch. Some guys just made the league better because they were in it. He was a true commander of his army. Respect to Luke
can't believe it was only 8 seasons.... forget linebackers, this guy was legit one of the most elite *football* *players* i've ever seen in my life everyone gave Cam Newton all the hype, but Luke Kuechly (alongside Thomas Davis) was just as responsible for 2015, and Luke was the _true_ leader of those teams... Keep Pounding Nation still misses this man and his impact was irreplaceable
Not even a Panthers fan, but he's my favorite linebacker ever, I loved watching him play, heck if he had played for longer, I might have been a Panthers fan... we miss you Luke
Little much as funny as the panick in an offensive lineman's face when the MLB calls out the offense's play, QB checking, and MLB calling out that check. Captain America was a special player.
I can't imagine the Chiefs got bored of playing one o'clock games because they never were on at one o'clock. If anything they don't like waking up early!
As a Panthers fan, his retirement announcement still hurts. Unquestionably worthy of being in the HOF.

even worse than losing the Super Bowl
Blame Tepper for coming in and burning everything
Should be 1st ballot. I don't think I've ever seen anyone faster from sideline to sideline. Instincts were off the charts.

its crazy how fucking good he was. definely deserving of the HOF
You gotta think this guy could be the best D coordinator in the league if he wanted to.

2015 the best Defense Ever , still believe Carolina beat the 85 Bears with all those Sacks/Tackles and So Many Interceptions
Hope he coaches in the NFL one day.

Tampa fan here, I got nothing but respect for this warrior
"He makes Xavier Legette sound British" 🤣
One of the greatest all-time! So sad he had to call it quits early. DEFINITELY first ballot HOFer!!
As a panthers fan. It really makes me happy seeing luke still be around football even if its not on the field. HOF next up 🥲
What a fakeout! I legit thought Rich was setting Luke up for the doorbell and got chills... but no. Thanks Rich!!!😁
the doorbell?
I hope Luke gets voted in the HOF. Monster on the field.
The greatest ILB ive ever seen play football. Keuckly was an absolute ball hawk on the field.
"Pulling it out of various orifi" lmaooo that's why Rich is the goat
Dude could still play for sure
Legend
get this man a gold jacket
One of the best linebackers of all time

Effing love that guy, what a player. For me first ballot 100%
Don’t know what Rich meant by keep your head on a swivel, but hope that’s good news for Luke. Same for Smitty, these 2 deserve the HOF
Ppl forget the 2015 Defense was close to even Better then the 85 Bears
Rich is the best
Him and Willis retiring early hurts my football fandom self
Not sure I've ever heard the plural version of "orophus"
Is there a drinking game based on how many times Rich says his own name?
the teams nobody is talking about are the Chargers & Washington.
Goat!
Luke the Nuke. What a beast.

his time in/stats just isnt enough for HoF. he was on track to make it for sure but quitting early cost him first ballot HoF
