So I’m just see this video in 2023. Wonderful story of the true meaning of family. Blessings to this family and all of the other foster and adopted children and their angels who protect and love them.

amazing story … my wife and I were Foster Parents for almost 15 years. We raised 37 kids & adopted 6, lost the youngest to cancer at age 6. It was a labor of love, and we'd do it all over again.

George Knox wanted to raise Roger and JP, he bailed them out of foster care.

Roger (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) had to remain in the foster care facility all just because his widower dad (Dermot Mulroney) was a long story.

I can't say enough about these parents who have changed so many childrens lives by providing them with a stable home. I choose not to dwell on the biological mother because this story is about an awesome family with lots of love.

As soon as it ended I said, "Is that it?".
I'm sure the MVshow would have chipped in too, but they blew their wad producing this "feel good" segment so they had to get a cannery to subsidize the "santa" part.
Everytime I see Chicken of the Sea for sale, I will remember this story's unbelievable ending and buy free-range chicken instead. I never liked saltwater chicken anyways.
This is compassion that knows no bounds. I admire this couple. A selfless act will be rewarded.. What if children who found themselves in prison were adopted in a loving home like this who knows their lives might have turned out a different way. God bless you all.

Why judge others for what they have given, while you sit back and watch a video? Be happy for the family. Be happy that they are together, that they have a loving family. That's not why the family was on there...........

Didn't you hear they have given cheque to 100 families. They have almost spend 1 million dollar that's a huge money. It better to split money than giving to one person.

When she said hundredth anniversary, I seriously thought they were getting $100,000! Ten thousand is better than nothing...
I did too. Felt horrible for them when she said $10,000. That's a big company and a joke of a gift.

I wish I could hug and thank every foster parent personally! My biological mother passed away from a sudden stroke after delivering me. My biological father was left with 5 daughters under the age of 10 and was not able to care for us all. I went to a foster home until I was adopted at 16 months. My most prized possession is a scrapbook that my foster parents kept, where the Mom made diary entries about things like taking me to the pediatrician and how I smiled and chattered and waved at everybody. Apparently I was very popular during my well-baby visits :) They pasted in the photo they had taken of me on my first birthday. It's so obvious from those diary entries that both foster parents doted on me and made me very happy. I don't know their names but I will forever be grateful to them for caring for me so lovingly. Good foster parents are every day heroes to me :)

It can be a struggle learning from new children and looking and listening to their past ways. But it's so humbling to experience the joy and love that's offered to them. I mean after all everyone says children are our future , and with that type of love given, our future will definitely be bright and a better place for everyone. God bless all of them.

I came from a family of eleven children, but all from the same parents. We fought among ourselves, but lord help the person who hurt one of us. Everyone in the small city we lived in, knew us, and our parents. If we did something wrong, our parents would know.

What beautiful well behaved children ! What a blessing that they have been able to stay together as a family. I cannot have children and none of my life partners wanted to adopt and when I finally was alone it was too late and I wasn't able to do it. I always imagined having five children at least. God Bless this family and the mother and father. Upon adopting these children they knew they would be living a life of struggle, but if love as well. I hope these boys realize the gift they got when they got their new parents.
I was adopted as well, many years ago (I'm 45 now), and was given a very abusive home. I truly think these people care for all the children.
Joel I am so sorry to hear that! I just don't understand why someone would go through the whole process of adoption if they weren't planning on being loving parents, when there are so many people out there who would have given their eye teeth for a child, but couldn't get one. I would think that most kids who are in foster care probably want to be adopted thinking that these parents are going to love them and give them a good life. I hope you were able to get through all of that and have a better life.

@John Texas Well I'm sorry John, these are not sixties nor seventies these are 2019 almost 2020 everything is soo more expensive, shoes,clothes, groceries, utilities, auto, gas, and we have cell phones and computers and air conditioner and alot more things we have cable and direct tv and school fees and etc you cannot compare 60s or 70s to this generation gas for cars mid $2.20 or above depending on where you live, vehicles back then were probably $3.500 brand new compared to now, $30.000 or above gas prices were 30 cents a gal. Huge difference you could save back then, we didnt have cable you can send two kids to college for what we spend in 20 years on direct tv or cable. We dont hang bbn out clothes on the line. We all have ac. Its totally different we have waaay more stuff than back then insurances for auto house and for FAMILIES are outrageous my God it's nowhere near the same. Wished it was 60s or 70s I cannot even imagine being without my cellphone.

Hopefully their community will step in and create a small funding scheme to support....these couples have taken responsibility for the whole community.. they doing the hard work.. just need the monetary back up... let hope the local town folks and church learns and hears about them.. real sincere true good people deserve support.. they are not only showing us what humanity and love looks like.. but making our world better by being in it.. there are many incredibly rich business owners, supermarkets, gasoline companies.. who can make the lives of individuals better by giving gift tokens for food, clothing, gasoline, ( the nesseceties) so the family can focus on things like medical and school education.
