Hey mate, it is me that flipped in the video. Just wanna say glad that someone got a clip of how it happened as I had no idea of what happened after the crash
@@fydrox6513 nah, their lines were fine. I would call that a racing incident, it looks like they just didn't realise someone would lunge up the inside
@@camhollo1139 bro nah, the guy went really far wide once, and then when they are side to side he just fully cut off the guy who flipped, that wasnt a racing incident
Damn this is so true, today I just fly 360 degree from my kart, luckily I hit on the grass, because of the driver in front of me are not that experienced. 😂
@@alvinchui8007 i dont even know, but i watched it like 10 times over then started pausing it and playing it as the roll unfolded and i couldnt stop laughing
@@swanracing make sure you push the wheel instead of pulling, a lot of people struggle because i.e. they pull the wheel with their right hand going into a right hander, when it's much easier to push with your left.
If you put a rollcage on a kart it just wont be a kart anymore because the rollcage will prevent the kart from flexing which is how they work. You could put a rollover bar and a seatbelt but because there are no energy absorbtion zones that would probably lead to more injuries
Why didn't you stop to check on him? I mean that looked pretty bad and the race is not as important as a human life. It triggers me seeing you continuing to drive
You can see him slow down tho. The clip only goes for like another 3 seconds after and you can see him checking back concerned. He can’t just slam on the breaks
@@puddle-karting Exactly ! They even ask the drivers to keep in their karts and stay predictable. To avoid other accidents. But I know, some people will jump off the seat to check the other driver. Usually people on the track know each other and sometimes they're even friends. There are situations when you can help. Because upside down the fuel can leak, the engine, the radiator and the exhaust can burn. So if you know there's nobody near the accident... I would not blame you for trying to help. When I used to attend to watch karting, during practices and races the track was always full of mechanics and marshals. In these cases is better to just keep going. 🤔

Really nice how you helped
See other comments, been discussed many times.. 👍
That’s some proper fast and furious 14 sort of stuff
Damn that's the thing. You can't really do moves like that when someone in front is inexperienced. At least you're okay though
Yeh that’s fair enough haha, I just didn’t expect him to cut in and thought he left the space there
also i drive kart since 2 years, if in front of you there is someonr inexperienced i always wait till some long straight so i can overtake him

Guanyu Zhou Silverstone flashbacks
It's amazing how easily it can happen
@@swanracing and a miracle that it's not that common
That guy in the red was a complete squirrel. You have to be cautious around drivers like that.
Basically, in my opinion, that guy was fine. I saw how he touched the ground with his helmet. I don't know, but was the kart okay?
I'm putting a roll cage on mine whoop back on track il get you for this Waldo
😂
That was a big one
I well stop to see if he was ok
i shouldnt laugh, but the more i watched it the more i laughed. glad youre good though
Haha what’s so funny😹

bro did he broke his neck or smth, it was a really bad accident
he was ok 👍
Hi great vid but you should hold the wheel normally.
yeah - I need to get in the gym I think. Steering is way heavy and struggle to turn it after a few sessions
@@swanracing Yeah good idea but hold it at 3 & 9 because it is the most optimal and effective way :)

Drive reckless, deal with the consequence

that kart needs a roll cage and a harness

You went far too hard on someone who is learning. Your fault, you're the "experienced" driver and you did not safely overtake.
Unfortunately the driver passed away 😭
No - he was ok 👌

You cant just slam on the breaks and stop. Then there will be more crashes
Fun n games until its not
If this was me I would be getting back in a go kart as soon as possible even after that
