Do you know what piece is suppose to go inside that cap? I know the passenger doors on mustangs don’t have a cylinder lock, so what is inside of that cap?? I need to replace mine and the dealership can’t figure out what is.

I don’t think there is anything inside of the cap on the passenger side. It’s just a bracket that is mounted to the cap and it has the shape of the cylinder. If your cap isn’t staying in place that means the bracket is broken. Which means you’ll need to buy a new cap. For what I understand pieces like these as sold as a whole. What I would do is take out the cap go to the dealer and show them. And for sure they’ll know then

Would you happen to know why the lock doesn’t work when I try to manually lock it with the key? Is there a sensor or is the lock not sitting in properly?

What way do you need to push the tab in the circular hole
