When using our drive away awning we peg down a guy line down the length of the van in line with the edge of the wheels so we can line up the van easily when re-parking.
Hi, To keep our dog cool during this weather we use a Ruff Wear cool coat. Just soak it squeeze and put on the dog . Our dog loves it so much she brings it when she's hot. Bentley would love one.

I really do think that Bentley was the smart one! This seems like an awful lot of work for a few days off. Would you ever consider stepping up to a motorhome like the one you did your Scotland trip in?
Like the idea but what happens when it's soaking wet and packing it away. Also in a small van is it worth the amount of space it all consumes when travelling. Maybe a bigger van would be more ideal or even a big tent and no van. I am new to Motorhomes so still learning. Cheers from old George
It depends if we are touring. If we are touring then space is valuable so we don't bother but if we are just going to one place for a little while it's the first thing out the van and last thing back in so it works well. If it gets wet it needs to be aired out when we get home but so does every awning. Thanks for watching :-)

Even though Bentley laid at the door to get cool, dogs lay across the door for security purposes. Bentley takes his job protecting his humans very seriously. All dogs do. That is one pack duty they always assign to themselves. And if he is ever really sick or injured, they sleep better if their human does the same for them.
Rebecca Adams ...... You're right. I took my Retriever camping and she claimed the area around the tent, and if I feel asleep during the day she barked to keep people away.

The Sunseeker in the Cali you have the advantage of getting to the site in the pouring rain and putting the kettle on but at other times, putting the tent up is part of the fun.
Well he eats a lot, and is quite the diva since he discovered people only watch this channel for him. But I recon you could hire him for a Bonio and a handful of chicken per hour?

Are your pop-top covers reversible? Silver-side outwards might be better in this heat? Just a thought...
