I agree. It was worth it when I bought it, there are better knives for the price I think but I love the availability of the different edges. Sorry for the late response, we are going to be making a come back.
had the tanto version. overall good user, utility edge held up well. was assembling an ikea cabinet last year. no hammer around, so knife abuse ensued. started hammering nails with the flats of the blade and the pommel. blade never broke, but tang pin slipped out of pommel a week later...was a quick fix. i just wish the coating weren't so chippy. maybe teflon? and in desert or od. ill prob find some button snaps for those velcro straps at joanns or something good knife overall.
Right on man, I did research on the blade what I found was that it was 440C I could definitely be wrong. "Not the most safe" is what I said (sorry for my poor clarity I noticed it too) It's just a fact that it would be not as safe as a full tang. However I was saying that in my experience that this particular blade has not failed on me. I do agree that I spent too much time on the review but it was my first one. I will attempt to make them shorter. Thanks for the comments!
I've found the type of blade steel for your large fixed blade knife is not too critical as it doesn't have to be shaving sharp. Sharpness is more important with your pocket folder.
Sorry for the late reply, honestly no I wouldn't there are better fixed blades for the price. Look for something by cold steel or honestly if you like this style go for the good ol' Ka-Bar
I know this a very old comment but people have different definitions of full tang. There a 2 dominant ones. 1) The tang runs the full length of the handle. 2) The tang is the same width as the blade and runs the full length of the handle. So if you go by the second definition, it's not full tang.
most chinese knivesa are actually 7cr17 etc. , even if it says 420 or 440 on the blade. "Not the most save knife": What are you talking about? You start out with questioning a fixed blade, then bring on this rant. You are spending waytoo much time on what others have once said, in your review!

it actually is full tang if you get something and push the little silver pin out of the handle you can take it down and see

The grooves aren't to reduce weight, they give the back of the blade added strength.
Thanks for the review! It was very helpful!

The "Fuller" is not to reduce weight, it is used as a support structure. Think of it like an I beam. This is a citation lol
@MacArtsy Hey man thanks haha. I just find it hilarious when people talk about "blood grooves"
Its full tang knife :)) cant you see where the pin goes at the end of the handle? this is the same construction as Kabar
