Some additional tips as an Invoker player:
In the laning stage, dont keep your orbs on Exort. If you're not last hitting, cycle to Quas orbs to get the regen. Then when going for the last hit then cycle back to Exort orbs.
If the creeps are on your side of the tower (especially if they are on the hill), always go near the creep you are about to kill / deny, in order to give you better odds against the enemy. Invoker's attack has a travel time which is quite slow.
When chasing or moving around the map, cycle to Wex orbs to get the movement speed. Might seem to be a negligible increase in movement speed, but trust me it makes a difference. In fact, if you invoke Ghost Walk for a quick escape, always practice cycling to Wex orbs before activating Ghost Walk, in order to get the bonus move speed.
The Cold Snap, Tornado and Meteor combo is only preferable if you are 1v1 and the enemy does not have (1) more than 600 hp remaining; and (2) if no other heroes are missing on the map. Always be aware of the map as you never know that the enemy is anticipating your combo. Remember that most of the damage in the said combo does not come from the spells, but from the follow-up attacks that you will be making after releasing the combo.
Against opponents that have escape skills (e.g. Blink, Illusory Orb, Astral Step, Ball Lightning, Dissimilate, Astral Imprisonment, Sleight of Fist, etc.), if you are an Exort Invoker, the combo to use is Cold Snap, Tornado and Sunstrike, not Meteor. However, this has a lower hp threshhold for a guaranteed kill.
Practice your Ice Wall. Any spell that destroys positioning or greatly slows opponents can make a difference in teamfights.
Micro your Forge Spirit. Aside from the minus armor that its attacks have, you can also deny runes against players who rely on bottle, body block enemies, block hooks with it, etc. In fact, with level 2 Quas, you can summon your forge spirit at least 30 seconds before the power rune spawns, then right before the runes spawn, send your Forge Spirit to whichever rune is farther from your current position (usually bottom rune) in anticipation of denying it, while Invoker goes to the other rune spot, either to claim or deny it.
I keep noticing that Exort Invokers tend to stand still when they want to launch their Sunstrike. Instead, try looking at the minimap and only shift your screen to the lane when from the minimap, you can see that your allies and the enemies are engaging. Also, lessen your time trying to predict the Sunstrike and just launch it. Playing against Exort Invokers has always taught me that the more time has lapsed when I disengage from the enemy, the more I become aware that I could still be killed by Sunstrike, and try to dodge it.
Only rely on Tornado when the opponent is far away, or if your allies need to setup their skills. Tornado also gives your enemy time to react to what you and your teammates are about to do. Also Tornado destroys a lot of setup skills (Reverse Polarity, Echo Slam, Duel, Ravage, etc.) Instead, try to rely on Cold Snap as not only does it have a low cooldown, but also allows your allies to chase.
Be aware of your teammates as well as the skills they have in choosing the right skills to invoke. Have a Tidehunter or Faceless Void ally? Instead of invoking Tornado, invoke Chaos Meteor and Sunstrike. Allies that have DOT skills? Invoke Cold Snap. Invoker's spells are great but even better if they synergize with your allies skills.
You can use Deafening Blast to chase, as the knockback slows down enemies. However, this is usually used when chasing low hp heroes, or if you need one final spell to kill them.
Try other Invoker builds. Adapt to the situation. Exort Invokers need a lot of farm, which in the current state of the game is quite slow to get. Try Quas Wex Invoker :D

8:47 Invoker buys gloves of haste at 7:22 game time. 10:15 Invoker placed the sentry ward, giving him space to equip the gloves of haste over two full minutes after he bought it. Maybe, just maybe gloves of haste are a little stronger than having a sentry or an iron branch?

Thank you so much for pointing out the point around pressure, it's something I often do wrong. I get maybe 1 or 2 kills and I pressure lane quite a bit but the enemy just shoves and goes jungle and I eventually throw away my lead. This helps a lot when knowing when to rotate etc. Thanks Speeed.

1. If u r hero that can kill. Try call ur support to help and kill him in jungle. Even u died by enemies team that tp in. Ur carry still benefit the space u made from it.
2. If u have to farm ur timing items. U have to clear lane and stack creeps or farm sidelane swap between lane-side. Take ur timing and go snowball em.
3. If ur hero have ganking potential then just go gank. Maybe u can crush other lane b4 enemy midlaner get their timing.

im so glad he mentioned the Euls was good on the Shaman! I had a game in which there was an Enigma, CM and Morphling in the opposite team and I'm like I can't survive the morphling nuke, and the extra disable might help against the other two ults so i built an Euls. My team threw the game because our position 5 shaman built an Euls :/ I'm like what? (also shit ton of warding...we had vision on the enemy at all times because they weren't able to deward my wards :/ )

Time. Mini map. When you see like 2 or 3 heroes together, then push to the opposite lane and if it they or someone tp'ed on their specified lane where you're there, don't tp anywhere else, just farm to their jungles for a moment before tp, keep always the time and the mini map awareness. Kill the ones on the back, sneak out or go smoke, be the unexpected to be there and try to always bring a ward. (Time) try to stack if you ever happened to be there on the neuts or ancient at 54, 56 seconds. Be different, you don't always need to clash like a warrior without a brain, go try something push some different lane and go for the best items possible, let the surprise begin later.

I didnt see the full game so i cant say for sure,but around 15:50 thats a common think to see for every invoker clown...basically they cant make combos...but just execute them mechanically.
Ok it's 4am and I'm supposed to be sleeping by now but I want to rant anyways(super lengthy). These kind of invoker really have a huge mental block or a mental challenge or some sort where they don't think through at all. I have a friend who is crusader and he's pretty similar, plus he's stubborn and doesn't want to learn what I teach, so I experience these types of invoker almost every match. First of all, WHY ON EARTH DO YOU NEED VALIDATION FROM THE SUNSTRIKES? it seems like almost all of them really just want people to applaud their ability to click T over an area that they predict a player mindlessly walk to. We get it, it landed it got a kill, so what? Are you a God now? Can no one else on this planet earth do that? STOP IDOLISING YOURSELF over some sun strike kills. And also, whenever they cast combos, they are so brainless in that they do not ever think of alternatives. They don't consider if their spells are really needed. Enemy low mana? Emp cuz why not. Enemy void with Bkb rdy hexed ? TOR.NA.DO. Having a troll hitting tower for you? ALACRITY YOURSELF INSTEAD OF THE TROLL. GODDAMNIT CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE JUST USE YOUR BRAINS, AND STOP USING SPELLS FOR THE SAKE OF LOOKING COOL IN YOUR MIND? NO ONE. CARES. THAT YOU CAN DEAFENING BLAST 5 HEROES THAT WERE BLACK HOLED. Also, it would be very much appreciated if these invoker players learn how force staffs and lotus orbs work when an enemy has it. Please read the description carefully, then maybe you can save your meteors, your emps, your sunstrikes and your god damn dignity. All for the cost of just an ice wall and a cold snap. It's sooo easy yet these brainless players just want people to praise them. You managed to kill a helpless shaman putting snakes on your dead lane t2 with orchid and cold snap? GREAT!! Now enjoy your kill and go farm ancients as you'd probably walk away not knowing your t2 is taking damage at all. God damnit these players are so brain dead and honestly I can write a whole book about them. I need sleep

I'm Invoker user and actually Master Tier Level 25 and I'm happy that all he mentioned about mistakes on laning phase. I didn't do that.

This is exactly how I used to play exort invoker. I always get so far ahead during leaning phase then a couple of over extend, I lose my advantage. I solely play quas wex tempo invoker now. I feel it's a much better style than exort and for those games I feel I need to carry, I transition into exort after lv 8.

Sometimes use your forge spirit to stack camps like meepo does with his clones it's pretty good way to stack and get your Midas faster

I like that you use your time to help lower players by analyzing content, that why you will always get my like.
One suggestion you talk a lot about this is not the right item, where do you get this build and then you casualy throw 3 random items.
Maybe in next videos focus, why should someone take orchid, why maybe orchid is bad and you should go assault, why going asssault deso solar crest build is nonesence and how you should stack your auras and when :). That could be helpful, beacuse i see a lot of pros pick some "random" items and some of them don't make sence to me for example. Anyway tnx for content

The Orchid of Malevolence of New Invoker is a new meta from sumiya, it is very useful to deal with Void Spirit using the three spells combo like cold snapwith malevolence+Tornado+Meteor, so that Void spirit cant escape because he is being silence. It secures kills like Wr, slark, puck and storm. Also this invoker is quite noob, yes he knows how to combo spells but he loses networth and fail to sustain the lane. When laning against void even if you are going to play exort invoker then you need to prioritize the level of quas more than exort to win the lane. Prioritizing quas during early laning stage can sustain lane and useful when against puck, void, queen of pain, and etc.
Against void spirit? I think even lvl 2 quas is already enough sustain for the laning stage. Void spirit doesnt offer that much of a nuke compared to puck, qop or sf.

Please make a video for the 10 Heroes to AVOID or NOT play in Ranked matchmaking. Specially Solo Que.
For eg: Faceless Void. I'm sure you saw the Nigma and Liquid match, and I played him too recently, even though I won it was an underwhelming hero to play. Basically useless early game, chrono cooldown too long. That's just mechanics even mentally I mean first chrono if you can't even get a kill or just get stunned and humiliated, you get easily tilted. Literally need Malestrom BKB Mask of Madness also maybe just to feel relevant.
It is a Sumiya build, but it's needed for the lock down on blink enemies, almost impossible to kill anyone without the orchid. But yes, you must be Sumiya levels of farm ahead of the enemy.

Hey speed, i watch almost every your video but i understand what are you saying about sunstrike the range creeps or others, i guess most of the lower mmr don't know why it matters because they don't really know that's so impactful it is cause they will focus less on level networth or counter spell or others small things that bit harder to see
If you wanna know how many kills you got just look at the scoreboard most of them will think how dominant he is but like you said no he is not because the networth.
The fake denies to hit the hero, most of the player (also me) what we think either "we can't win the denies because their hero have a bigger hit damage" or "we suck at creeping"
I guess that's the little thing that differentiate low mmr and high mmr
While high mmr know what little thing that can impact gameplay while low mmr don't (like PMA trust me it does impact your gameplay)
Also low mmr lack knowledge about what hero can trade against what hero (harassing if i am not wrong) (like ogre against cm or whatever) in a scale of cm against ogre is easy to see but we can't tell if witch Doctor can trade against winter w or not (sorry i can't find the complex example)

I do very well on fancy combos, but I'm still struggling with the laning phase.
I like to play voker like Henry so I always play qw and im pretty aggressive on other lanes and it is the easiest way to CRUSH YOUR GAMES! :D also I almost always play with 5 man team so it is easy to communicate.

Age old issue at this bracket, look at that fight again, Invoker isn't committed to running away, he isn't committed to fighting after the CK stun. He just runs out, losing a tonne of time and damage, then he runs back in and fully commits to the wrong target.
Just poor target priority and team fighting.

When you spend enough time breaking down the game and thinking about dota and watching replays, you get to where speed's thinking at. Most people don't have that time, but thank god we have people like speed sharing their condensed knowledge.

Realistically it can ONLY mean void spirit is going to buy an euls. So orchid is legitimately useless to invoker when dealing with void spirit because his mentality is most likely winning by solo pickoffs

I just had a mid QoP teammate with 35 kills in 40 min and just Maelstrom and BKB. He said, he did "everything he could", and then proceeded to blame his teammates. I was 3-5 and had over 5k more networth.
If you are really good at farming, you should play mid then. When you gain networth lead against your opponent it would be much easier to snowball the game.
@@carlperalta608 Well I do have more success playing carry/mid. But everyone wants to feel special, so it's difficult to get these roles. Even then games feel like coinflip. I'm just crusader and people think getting kills is everything, so they dive towers. In one game everyone picks melee, in another all casters build guardian grieves and nothing else, or they lose both lanes harder than I win mine.
At least these people could shut up instead of pointing fingers.
@@nightmareTomek I really recommend spamming alchemist if you want to gain mmr. You can get to your item timings much faster compared to other heroes. Once you get radiance at 11-13 min mark, I guarantee its gonna be an ez game. From this point on, you should think what build will make you snowball. They have vessel? Go buy manta or bkb. They are physical dmg dealers? Assault cuirass is a good choice. But most of the time I would just build heart because at that point of the game there's only a slight chance they could kill a 3.5k hp alch at 20 mins with massive sustain that is only if you mess up. You can always go roshan on alchemist and just go high ground on your enemies without worrying too much. Also you have trouble getting your role? Try role queue bro and pick mid.

Tbh speed, its not easy, i was hoping better community from this bracket, really didn't expect it in Herald,Guardian, Crusader, but this community is worst man, everyone playing for their own, even supports are wannabe carry, ur a mid laner and ur playing fine but ur team feeds in the end mid laner took all the blame, same goes to safe laner,supports,offlaner, everyone is blaming everyone! When u lose. Could be bettet in higher rank but this is really frustrating and stressful. After all that abusive words and everything, i bet no player can play for 100% mentality, and i know best to avoid is by mute them but u just cant mute everyone man, dota is teamwork so communication is much needed. I dont even know what im saying lol. Try SEA from unrank to immo and u will know the experience

If they cant keep up, try switching your playstyle man. If your carry is underfarmed, it would be nice to play aggresive and create as much space as possible for him to farm. When I say play aggressive, your build changes with that as well, try going vessel even you are exort voker. The damage is so insane considering the item got buffed even you have zero charges. 3.5k is really a hard bracket to escape from and ive been there for a year and a half. Just keep playing with your best and you will surely improve.
