Donkeys are my second favourite animal to dogs. A farm on one of my old rounds had 2, a mother and daughter, used to take them strawberries and carrots every time.
I made jumper leads for motorbikes myself, because all the ones that are for sale are too big, only for cars. So I bought 4 smaller alligator clips and a meter of red and black wire of 4mm and assembled it. The weight is not much and small enough to take with me.
Just a point for future reference, brake fluid doesn't just disappear. You'd either have a leak or your brake pads have worn crazy low. Dint just top it up, ask yourself why it's low. That said, glad it wasn't actually a problem 😊

I did originally film a video - but I think at the moment, because I'm still finding my feet - what I've taken on my last three trips has drastically charged from trip to trip as I get a clearer idea on what luggage I need to take. I think once I get a few more trips under my belt, I'd film a video going in-depth talking about what I originally packed / stopped packing and what I take now

I seem to learn something new nearly every time I ride even after all these years. I'm wonder what you think of your tent, especially setting it up solo ? Honestly, I love my tent! It's the LoneRider tent, and it was advertised as being easy to put up (and it is!) - I can put it up a lot faster than shown in this video but I usually take my time on sunny days. The tent is literally three horizontal poles inserted into the tent, then when you start hammering in the pegs, the whole thing just pops up like magic! Can't ever imagine going back to a traditional tent!

Just a quick one! Videos is brilliant 👏 Your brake fluid being low would have been a sign that your brake pads are low! You should never need to top the fluid up at all until you change it during a service! So please check your pads. Keep safe
So, a little bit of confusion. Ordinarily, I'm used to seeing an air bubble in the window of the brake reservoir - when the sock flew off - I saw there was no air bubble and panicked. I pulled over to the side of the road and rocked the bike back and forth - still no air bubble. The window genuinely looked empty to me so I figured it was empty. I went to fill it up to find the reservoir wasn't actually empty - it was just so full there was no air bubble at all. Having said that ~ rocket is actually going in for his service in 2 hours :)

what a great video I like to see and hear you laughing 🤣 you remember me when I started riding and did tours with tent. I think, what happened to you, has happened to nearly all bikers, perhaps not in three days, but it happened . When I see you packing your rocket, i recognized, you have all package at the back of the bike. I suggest to search for a bag for the rank, especially for the heavy things, like tools or oil (or -milk shakes). this can improve the balance of the bike. Go on and make more of those videos, I'm your fan :)
Thanks for the advice! I do have a tank cover which allows for a bag to be attached - but in all honesty, I've just been lazy and haven't fitted it back on yet ahahah! I was planning on getting some leather dye and charging the colour of the tank cover!
Tips: Learn how to bump start a bike, you never know when it'll come in handy. If you suspect the battery still not charged enough to start the bike again, stop on an incline (facing down obvs) and you should be good to go. Find out why the battery went flat in the first place, I did notice you stopped in the mist with all your electrics still switched on, tut tut ! Every ride out can be a learning curve.
Just need to get my phone repaired now - been meaning to send it off for three weeks ~ whoops ~ still using my naff burner phone ahahaha (it doesn't charge well either)
Just a word of advice, your master cylinder is a sealed unit and should not need topping up unless you have a leak, in which case get your brakes checked, the one reason your fluid is low could be your brake pads wearing down and once replaced with new should automatically fill the fluid back up to it's normal level.
6:15 It was as funny as fook as we say oop North!!! Lol. Good to see you eventually got it sorted. Shows the importance of regular bike maintenance. Bike batteries, unless you maintain them regularly are often only good for 2-3 years. At least they're cheap.

Ah I don't think so, I think bike tests are already getting manic in order to get on the road. Plus there's so much crammed into a CBT already, you barely absorb anything on the training day

You shouldn't go on a bike trip without them and a bigger twin cylinder bike ie 1000 cc is impossible to bump start so jump cables are a must. Great video by the way 👍

The fog was extremely scary - it was honestly 20x worst in real life than it looked on camera. There was a thing haze surrounding me that doesn't show up on film! The worst part was I ride wearing glasses so I had to keep stopping to wipe them down

I had to jump start my old Kawasaki Z1300 back in the 1980's. Weighing in at over 700lbs it almost gave me a hernia...!

My dealer informs me that the huge surge from battery booster packs can fry a bikes ECU/electronics so Ive stayed away from carrying one.
